after installing beta u will find a "beta arma 2 oa" shortcut in arma 2 folder, launch from there and once you are in menu select dayz under "expansions"

any news on fps hotfix?

nobody is incredulous, i guest most just happy to see these sneaky fps problems are not related to their hardware...that's always my nightmare since my q6600 is getting old :(

i can confirm togheter with many users 1.6.0.1 killed fps again. Some people are unaffecteded anyway... btw there's already one of these in bug request/troubles/announcement and rocket said he will fix asap

same issue, the 1.6.0.1 didn't really help still down to 15 from the 40 i had :-/

Oh, hey - is anybody else having frame rate issues like before the last hotfix? My computer is pretty good; usually I can manage a solid 60 FPS in DayZ, but it seems to be reverting back to the 20-30 FPS (which seems unchanged by altering your visual settings) that I had before last Wednesday's hotfix. Seems a lot of people in the server I was in earlier had the same issue. read above, same issue fail quote

@rocked pre 1.6 i had 40 solid fps, at 1.6 dropped to 10 at 1.6.0.1 at 15... i got a q600 @3ghz and 4gb of ddr3 at 667, my gpu is brand new. is there still an performance problem or this is considered fixed? i can oc my q6600 to 3.4 just to check if ti changes, bu tit seems not related to my hardware or video settings

believe or not but i managed to read all this crap from page 1... dunno what's in your brains guys, but when i play on ts with my friends it's part of the fun having a crowded area where people shoot on sight. Raids in Balota airport are fun only because of the insane amount of players hunting decent equipment around there. If you want to cooperate the north of the map is there for a reason, i can't think why you would stay on that crappy coast! and as rocket is trying to say if you are cooperating with someone and u STILL get killed by random bandits, well.... be glad this is not a real zombalipse gief grey's anatomy lootable skins

just lost all my gear BUT my alice pack. Happened on eu 5 right now. my AKM :( just logged on eu5 and as i realized my torchlight was not equipped i pressed G. All equipment but the ammo in the Alice i had disappeared i think was 1 water bottle, 1 bean , 1 akm and ammo, chem flares bandages and the Torchlight

guys maybe i'm the only bastard not spamming servers with dc/reconnect but today i really can't manage to spawn; waiting for server response went over 30 mins many times so this is my question...apart from all the awesome fixes coming, is this database issue going to be solved? or, what are your tricks to spawn? cuz i end up spending 3h to spawn just to get a dc 1h later. Before u spam me with "omfg is an alpha u cunt" , this is not a rant, just wondering if in the next build this will be somehow better because i stopped playing everything else to enjoy this awesome mod but spawning is so frustrating...i'm fine with randomly loosing my 1 week char bec of bugs, but i can't really manage to play more than 1h out of 5 spent in the client :S regards franky

hi guys, having a blast with the mod, buti have some gameplay questions.. how do i use my hunting knife on dead animals?killed a rabbit and couldn't use it...is the rabbit just considered a critter? and second, can i cook the meat on a campfire? do i need a tent?
