I call bullshit. Sacriel's squad is too good to be taken out by a single guy, especially someone with a mental age as low as yours.

That's the exact setup I've got at the moment.

Besides Steam, is there a way to track how many hours you've played? I bought it through Steam but don't run it through Steam because I don't want background programs taking up memory.

I was in Zelenogorsk in the supermarket and a bandit came in asking if I was friendly. I said yes, but didn't trust him because he were completely geared out and I only had a Winchester. He even offered me his gun, it looked like an FN FAL, but he picked it up again. I was on a fresh spawn and was a bit annoyed about dying yesterday and losing some nice gear so I decided to backstab this guy, 4 point blank Winchester shots to the head. Nothing happens, he turns and shoots me and laughs. It was some kid with a squeaky voice, which made it all the more worse. The guy's name was SR Taylor. I have no proof other than what I've just described but I hope there are ways of proving these things.

Yesterday, I ran all the way to Gorka to rescue a friend. There were only 4 people on the server, including me and my friend. We were crouched in this random shack whilst I was administering a blood pack and then all of a sudden, I see a guy crouch around the corner, back up and then unload a silenced M4 clip into both of us. No warning. No mercy. Just cold-blooded murder. I lost a scoped M14, which I'd just got that same day, along with NVGs, an AKM with quite a few clips, loads of medical supplies, an ALICE pack and nearly a full set of equipment. Once I'd geared up again, I was in Prigorodky with a friend. We saw a guy running and heard him say over the mic "Don't shoot.. friendly". So we unloaded our assault rifles into him. Unfortunately, until this game no longer has hackers and shoot-on-sight douchebags, I won't be taking any risks. I'm not going to go out of my way looking for people, but at the same time, if I think you're a threat, I won't hesitate to drop you.

So, I've been playing DayZ for about a week now, but on my own unfortunately. I'm looking to make a squad with a few guys, seeing as all of my gaming friends reside in the world of consoles. I'm 19 so I'm looking for people of a similar age/skill level (I would still class myself as a beginner - I wouldn't want to be a burden to the more experienced guys out there). 18+ would be good, but if you're 17 and not a social retard, I could live with that. Also, having a mic is a must. I usually use Skype to communicate. Let me know if you want to join up!

Okay, that sounds perfect. Would you say you guys play quite regularly? I'm usually on in the evenings.

How many of you are there? I don't really want to join a clan where there's 10+ of you running around armed to the teeth because I think that takes some of the fun out of it, but if you play with a relatively small squad, I'd be interested. I'm fine using Teamspeak as well.

Whereabouts are you from and how old are you?

I've been playing this game for about a week, mostly solo but I do have a small group of friends that sometimes play it, and out of my 10 deaths, 9 have been from PvP. Because of this, I shoot to kill every time, unless they're obviously a fresh spawn. I lost a camping tent and a near-full set of equipment because of someone shooting on sight and I'm not prepared to let it happen again, unless you give clear indication over the mic.

So, first up, it's probably worth mentioning that I'm quite new to DayZ and it could be something blatantly obvious that I'm doing wrong, but I thought I'd make sure. Every time I log in, my character's position has reset as if it were spawning in fresh, even though I've still got all of my gear. And what's more annoying, on my current life, it keeps taking me back to where I spawned in, which just so happens to be west of Kamenka. I've walked all the to the edge of Cherno twice now and come back to find my position has reset itself and it's getting pretty frustrating. What can I do to fix this? Is it possible to stop this from happening? (Also, on a side note - I got my second ever murder earlier on. The guy was lying down and I went to town on him with my hatchet. He had a sniper rifle and an ALICE pack, but I think he disconnected as I killed him because his body sank into the ground and I wasn't able to loot him. What was the point of this exactly? Was he just acting like a prick for the sake of it, to deny me the loot?) Thanks for the help.

Thanks, that makes a lot of sense, seeing as I've been having a lot of loading issues as well. I haven't been on since I last reached Cherno (for the third time haha) so I won't be making that mistake again.
