Maybe banning right off the bat isn't what needs to be done. But people should be banned if it's happened so many times. Say if they've been caught combat logging on purpose something like 10 times then they should be banned, especially if it's within a short time period.

You're acting as if this is a standalone only problem. Not to mention people saying "Their internet probably went out or they got DC'd"I'd imagine it's happened but very rare, no way in hell does it happen EVERY single time.

I find M4's like I find baked beans. I find ammo like I find rotten fruit everywhere. But when it comes to finding that Mosin it's been difficult, ammo isn't too bad but finding the gun itself...

It's quite a bit different. I'd be more then happy to play night time the way it's meant to be played. But the majority of players don't do so. I don't see the point in having a huge disadvantage over everyone else because of this. I would love to see night time be working properly though.

yea I had no idea scared the shit out of me. About 30min later me and my friend were teleported maybe 5meters away from where we were and couldn't move, wonder what that was.

I can understand where people are coming from when it comes to getting DC'd or what not. But most of the time that's not the case. The people trying to defend combat logging with any other reasoning is a combat logger themselves.

There needs to be a fine line. I highly doubt when someone encounters someone else their game crashes, yes it happens. But most people actually combat log.

I do hope they plan on having a lot more then 5-6 guns in the end. I'm honestly hoping for a fairly nice variety but i'd imagine it will happen.

Put them on your bar and use them like you would any other item on your hotbar. They're full on books btw.

After the recent character wipe I decided to join an empty server to get some gear. Considering the fact joining a full server is a horrible way to get gear right now. I'm in Balota and almost fully geared. I walk by one of the 2 story military buildings. I see someone in there looting a dead body so I assume he's not friendly. I walk in and confront him and it turns out he just got lucky and found a dead body with some gear on it. He's completely new to DayZ and never played the mod so I help him out and gave him gear too. On the way out of Balota we head to the well nearby and fully drink up. Then we start to head up north but decide to stop by a barn. As I'm uptop over the little ledge I hear gun shots and he gets killed.I wait proned uptop in the little room while he comes in to loot the body. Needless to say he was a dead man. After the guy I teamed up with came back and looted his body I had him hide his own body and the other's so the little fucker couldn't get his shit back. We were on Skype so I was able to help him find his way back. It really is hard for a new DayZ player to learn how to play this game. Unless you played the mod you have no idea where you are or what to do. You also have no idea where Rocket wants to take this game. By the time I meet up with him there's around 25-30 people in the server.

Almost everything the game has right now. Loot's not too hard to find seeing as there's a lot of it. The problem is loot doesn't respawn so you gotta be in there on a fresh or semi fresh restart.

Not sure where else to post this but just lookin for someone to play with. Sometimes a bandit sometimes friendly. Got skype too. Please be a bit older and not 12 years old.

When you first started playing... trying to find a gun and everything you need. You come across a huge stack of AK's and you stand there trying to pick them up for 5 minutes. Biggest let down ever. Been looking for a drink seeing as loot doesn't respawn and I find this off the path. I'm let down :(

That was one of the first helms i found.

It seems as if servers only respawn loot on restart. Is this intended or a bug? I feel as if it's horrible gameplay if you have to server hop to gear up or be the first person in line on a server restart. Maybe some people know the answer but the best answer is going to come from rocket.

Oh I'm aware of that. Other then character resetting and getting a perm knockout the alphas actually pretty good. It was a matter of me figuring out whether or not it's a bug or this is how things are going to be.

I just don't understand why server hopping and such should be a method of gearing.
