Sounds like you're one of them. Jesus Christ, I had to re-read that sentence numerous times before I could even partially comprehend what you were trying to say. Combat logging and using gamma are in completely different ball parks. Combat logging almost gives you god-mode, not to mention ghosting... Then there's gamma which almost 99% of players do even though they shouldn't. In the end you should have to use your flashlight. You should have to make that difficult choice of whether or not you stay in the shadows or decide to use your flashlight and reveal your position. I'm not saying using that should be acceptable. It should almost be punishable but it's no where near as stupid as combat logging. If you're the type of person that combat logs then DayZ honestly isn't your game.

Pretty much happened to me today too. Ran into someone, shot him and he disappears. Next thing I know his friend is by him with an m4 and kills me. "You shot at my friend faggot" Glad I shot your friend, he's a combat logger.

Shouldn't of done it in the first place. The only time I can honestly see combat logging actually being acceptable is if there's a hacker in the server.

People like you are the problem with this game.

Maybe banning on the first offense shouldn't happen. But adding a timer will only help so much. Combat logging is still more then possible if you can find ~30 seconds of safety.

A guy comes into my tent "Hey bro you got a zombie behind you" So I kill the zombie for him. Next thing I know he combat logs. Shoulda just killed him.

Oh weird! Second player I ran into combat logged! Ran into someone, tried to kill them. He disappears quite weirdly as his friends behind him "Shouldn't of shot my friend fag" Cool well I'm glad I shot your friend because he's a combat logger.

You can always try to find a single player game to play.

I know how to play the game a different way. It just comes to the point where you want to be a bandit because that's how you learned.

I've been playing DayZ for a long time, I know how it works. I've got way too many hours into this game for me to even count lol.

Oh ya me too. I find gear fairly easily and I don't get attached to my gear at all. Had a good firefight with a friend though. We were in the jailhouse and we fended off 6+ people. Killed an entire squad.

As I alt tabbed to upload this I died. Someone must of followed me :(

It's not a matter of whether I agree with it or not... Dying is a part of the game and combat logging isn't a viable strat.

I know what you're sayin, I think it's the last patch until after Christmas. But keeping them rollin' out like they are now will do wonders.

If you really do keep these updates coming daily if not almost daily the standalone will show some outstanding progress, keep it up.
