If you jump in a server and start chatting up with a person in blue side channel chat and server is 1.7.1.1 pay god damn attention....YOU HAVE THE WRONG VERSION...so nothing is wrong with the game, the problem is you. Install your update right. Use your brains and read the damn update notes. Again...if you can read and talk in side chat...you are on wrong version of game.

Servers can only detect what Arma 2 patch you have and if you have 1.7.1 you can still play on a server that has 1.7.1.1 which is the hotfix...so apparently half the players out there have not downloaded the hotfix.

7 people on the server I am in right now complaining right now, I hope one of them is smart enough to alt tab out and read the forums, or atleast the patch and beta notes. Then it is possible they might realize what is wrong.

If you have the right version...when these guys jump into the server you can read what they are saying but cant tell them anything lol. So they all sit there talking with each other going "This patch is fucked up! I don't see anyone or anything and its laggy" I just want to scream out and tell them they are not updated right lol, but I cant.

Haha I just ran into a bandit in Electro, who unloaded 20 rounds my way with his .45 He missed all 20 shots then ran out of ammo...now he is just hiding upstairs with me and our flashlights cowering from the zombies the lame ass drew on us. I am going to alt tab back in and try to bring them upstairs on him.

New patch, dead/new players spawn in with essentially nothing. That is sorta cool with interesting new twist. Old gear, no matter what, if you do not wipe the player base, then there are tons of players who are decked out and groups/clans with a massive stockpile of gear. Load up a car with weapons, gear, and go down to the beach and wreck the place. Who is going to stop you? Zeds? Players with flashlights? Sure maybe 1 or 2 players in Cherno might have found a weapon and pose a threat, but seriously, a small clan with car full of assualt rifles and ammo. No one stands a chance. So... should everyone start with a clean slate or just leave it be?

Lol some people on the server I play on took their DMR's and Night Vision Goggles and shot up everyone. Each to their own I guess. We drove an ATV through Electro...all most could do was watch as we stopped to get gas, kill some zombies and drive away. I don't kill other players anyhow, so a character wipe wouldn't bother me. I am for a character wipe also :)

So....is there going to be character wipes? Or is it just going to be a rush to get to your tents then run back to shore and wipe out everyone and everything?

Wow very nice. 7 days seems a bit long especially if the vehicle is bugged/not being used/off the map. I think 7 days is fine if the vehicle is "on" the map and not being used, but if its "off" map and not being used maybe the time should be shortened. Has the server restart bug been fixed? IE when server resets sometimes tents disappear with vehicles and server needs to be restarted again to make them reappear. As for clans hoarding them. Most clans I have seen horde them "on" the map with their tents. Which means if you find them you lucked out with new rides and weapons. Makes for a good find and makes the clan, in my opinion, more reputable. As for those clans who horde them "off" the map...seriously what is the point of that?

On back of quad...then teleported someplace else..then back onto quad...teleported back...did this for about 10 minutes until driver came back to where I was teleported too. Chicago 50 server Time 2:08 AM What I was doing: riding bitch on a quad.

90% of my deaths are from a hacker. Mass killing or spawning in tank. 5% from being stupid (training zombies onto myself) 5% from other players. Something wrong with that. I mean come on...zombies shouldn't be able to kill me.

This has happened on 5 different servers in last 40 minutes, I am sure it is the same ass hole jumping from server to server doing it.

Is there a way to connect to a server via IP address, I cannot find the server on the list but I know it is up because all my friends are on it.

So our chopper we repaired leaked all the fuel out...hours of work down the drain...so we decided to blow it up and dance it off. Not everyone on Dayz kills each other.

EU8 1:19 AM Raided a tent/camp with every vehicle spawn on the server in that camp...5 minutes after we stole their stuff...mortars, helicopter, and tank started wrecking everyone everywhere...everyone knows the helicopters do not hold fuel.... Someone is killing everyone on the server with mortars/artillery. From Cherno all the way to Northwest Airfield. Will try to add screenshot. Gathering info from other players now. Addition: They now spawned in a tank....

All I know is it is very perty to see a car explode in the middle of a city while you are squatting in the woods...I likey.

Fix: 1. Tents (stuff disappearing and duping hacks) 2. Huey fuel leak 3. Zombie pathing Features: 1. More barricading options (barbed/constatine wire is not enough and does not work) a place to call or make home 2. Add something in the treelines that can harm players other than snipers...lions, tigers, and bears, oh my. 3. Eliminate death, connecting, disconnecting notices. We don't need to know who died or who disconnected avoiding/dodging death. If you are alone, you are all that matters, if you are partnered up, then all that matters is the person to the left and right of you.

Yeah it can be repetitive, but honestly what game isn't? FPS, run around shoot each other, respawn, unlock stuff. Next map. MMO, run around kill mob, turn in quest, get loot. Next quest. The goal here seems to be to survive. Seems so simple, yet so complex. I vote for larger map and laser guns. Pew pew. Lasers.

Comms will get rid of all the unecessary chatter, of the L337 players who brag about how many survivor/bandit kills they have , "Umadbro?" Lets face it, some people (kids) like to see their name somewhere in a game whether it is leaderboard or in chat. I personally cannot wait till the side chat is gone. If the game goes standalone I would hope that the server you chose to play on would house your character because there is too much "farming" going on right now.(logging off in high loot area, then relogging in another server) for the loot. Thus stacking the odds in their favor. Heal over time...no way, infact if you get shot, you should be more prone to infection. Not really sure how to quell the deathmatch mentality that is going on right now, but hey, its alpha. Cannot say a game will fail during alpha. Not even in the testing phase yet so hold your tongues.
