Haha. Most people I see server hopping are packing NVG's, Suppressed Weapons, so they are already decked out with the works. Makes no sense to keep server hopping when you already have all the leet gear. You want leet gear. Just sit and wait at Stary. It truly is that simple, someone will show up 100% of the time. Point, click, shoot, and loot. Then leave. Nothing else you can do. Server hopping is lame, do your part to discourage it by dismantling someone elses "hard" work.

ROFL this cracks me up. As soon as nightfall hits, people bug out to find servers with daylight. I personally just play on one server everyday and see during the daylight it is full, when the night comes it drops down to 4-5 players, including myself.

Going to Armaholics to get it, have an account but it wont let me download the latest one. Is there another site to obtain this patch?

LOL thanks. I was clicking on Arma 2 which ran me to Armaholics, then Armaholics was rerouting me to the website you just posted, I was using the Armaholics login and pw for the Arma 2 site.

The beta patches for Arma 2 are backwards compatible. The rolling hotfixes and updates for Dayz are not.

100%...every character I have made since 1.7.1.4 has had his leg broken. 6 for 6. It is almost inevitable to the point where it is not worth going into a building to look for anything since most are empty anyways.

First of all if you are talking in blue chat with others on the server complaining about how the game does not work...there is the problem. Side Channel chat has been removed with the Arma 2 beta patch. You have something installed wrong. If you are playing and still able to use the side channel chat...you have something installed wrong. Be happy you are still able to play. Most of the problem is you have the beta installed but are not using the right executable, or have your launcher not pointing to the right executable. Instead of spending hours in game complaining how the game does not work for you in side channel chat. Go the the forums and read. You should alread KNOW something is wrong simply because of the fact you are able to use Side Channel Chat.

Cant drop it into my backpack. Have 12 slots open. If I drop it on the ground it disappears, no even worth dropping for a weapon with no ammo.

So I kill zombies (very easily I might add) with a hatchet and launch them 50-100 feet in the air. I am mightier than Thor himself. Oops I just posted this in wrong forum. Please move.

LOL I have 1.7.1.4 didnt even bother downloading 1.7.1.2 or 1.7.1.3 as it took 2 days for the server I play on to update and the loot bugs.

Hatchet > any weapon in game right now. 23 Zed kills by 1 hit. Dont have to stealth , infact you can run around a tree, they lose LOS and hatchet them in back. This should be addressed as if feels like "easy" mode.

Well used to have option to use Sweden, USA, etc mirrors or six launcher but now its either Six Launcher which spends more time updating itself than the damn MOD, or the "here" mirror which sends you to the same "mirror" site everytime. Only thing left is torrent, which I do not trust.

So I keep running into guys with weapons, the problem is, I do not have one. The thing that makes me laugh, is that the 4 that I have encountered all unload on me...and miss. Then you hear...click..click..click..click. Out comes the flashlight. We get to stare deeply into each others eyes. I snicker to myself behind my keyboard (since I cant chat them up) and walk away. Should have saved your ammo for the zombie horde that is heading your way now. This patch is a blessing in disguise.

Hint...get an in game map, MOST servers that are regular or veteran have a special feature to navigate. You open up the map...hold down shift...left click on the place you want to go...close map...and poof. You now have a marker in game that tells you the distance (in meters) and pointer telling you where to run. This is an Arma 2 feature that apparently works with the Dayz Mod. Some servers have it disabled, but majority do not. PS if you want to sound highspeed to your friends...1000meters= 1 click. So when they ask you in TS/Ventrilo how far you are away from them and it says 2500m you can say, 2 and a half clicks out. They will revel in your Godliness. I like to keep that map secret to myself...but I am sure now everyone will be using it.

Both blow right now. I spend more time clicking on it watching Six Updater update itself than update my mod. If I click on the Manual update "here" link...I get the 2 hour download for a 17mb file with no option to "choose" my mirror. Open up more mirrors please or update the Six Launcher Updater updating its updating update.

My bad, let me be more specific. I want to update the Dayz mod files, not the Arma 2 Beta Patch. @Latros, I think I may grab a beer at the local bar while waiting for this download. Great idea.

I personally dont think they should have a leaderboards. Maybe a way to track personal achievements, but not some kind of leaderboard where people can attempt to be in the top 10 per say. Just sayin. Stats bring out the stat whores.

First guy I encountered was in Cherno firehouse, he unloaded on me with .45 and missed every shot. So I ran outside and drug all the zombies I could to bottom of stairs and we both looked at each other on 2nd floor for about 10 minutes. He wouldnt go downstairs with no ammo so he just dc'd

Server keeps spamming this message to everyone. Not sure if that is a bug or server message. Mostly spams that message when a flare is lit and going.

Developer's Note: * Performance issues were associated with loot cleanup not working. This has been fixed. * Each time you start a new character, you will get the gender selection dialog. * INFECTED AND LOOT RESPAWN IS STILL QUITE BUGGED. NEEDS ALOT OF WORK. BUT IT SHOULD BE MANAGEABLE NOW.
