Yes Huey is only helicopter in game. That is hacked.

I am playing with a friend on Chicago 50. I am one of the admins. I am not the person who pays for the server so do not have access to certain logs. My question. Someone came into the game and spoke (Russian I think) through the Global Channel. Said 4 to 5 things in Global (white text). The first time he spoke I checked the player pool for his name...it was not there. So he continued to speak in his Native tongue in Global but not showing up in player pool to kick. What are the chances he is hacking the server? And what log files can the other Administrator pull to see if something does happen. He is still saying things, but not showing up. I have logged on and warned everyone on the server, but not sure what to expect.

Please tell me this fix/addition is a joke. So instead of barbed wire, sandbags, and tanktraps blocking doors, we now have to worry about people placing bear traps all over? I am all for new things but this one seems a bit...stupid.

So I find a tractor which needs some work. I look in the gear. All random medical stuff, assume it is from the Berzino Hospital, since tractor is at a Warehouse near it. Top of the list is the Bizon PP-19 SD submachine gun. No ammo. My guess is someone hacked it in and was building the tractor up, but got killed as I hear the flies around. I just want to know if this weapon is hacked, it has a portrait when clicked on.

I got decent gear. I have food and water. I have a vehicle. I have tents all over the place. I could go around killing other players, but really, what is the point of that? I do not find pleasure in someone elses pain. Getting supplies is as easy as logging onto a night time server and walking into the store. Killing other players is as easy as punching a two year old in the face. I still have fun while in game, just wondering what else there is to do? I know the mod is still in alpha, but is there some sort of direction that Rocket is heading towards? Are our suggestions just that, suggestions? I have seen some good ones in the other forum, but until the next change/patch what is there to do?

That is kind of funny, I ran down the beach today towards Cherno to aide one of my friends who just bought Arma 2 for this mod. Every person I ran past, (most with no weapons) instantly dropped to the ground and dc'd. Hard to help those who are affraid for their lives. I also been experiencing direct communication is not working on a lot of servers. I will try to help a complete stranger tomorrow and see what it gets me. Thanks for the suggestion.

Huey is only chopper in game, and those are not actually in game because of the lag and desyncing they cause.

+1 to the guy who didnt log out. +1 to you for not logging out when you found out you didnt kill him right away.

Man I really hate bandits/murderers. So I pretty much shoot on sight. That being said... This is one funny ass video lol. "Hey man you need any supplies?" "I just started this..." Bam!!! I cant stop laughing.

Normally it closes the active window...ie...your game. You can turn that feature off in Windows or set different hotkeys..so it is possible that is what you are experiencing.

You walk up to a gas tank (usually the large ones behind the gas station)...stand in the middle of it, and click "fill jerry can" There are numerous places to fill the cans too, not just gas stations.

I think it is a server option that has to be activated. Some servers have it, some don't. I also notice alot of servers enabling side chat aswell.

Hmmm well first of all do you have the beta patch installed? Second if you do, do you have the launcher/executable pathed right? That is when you launch the game is it using the Arma 2 Beta Patch executable? Whatever you use to launch the game (sixupdater, steam, or Arma 2 Launcher) , it needs to be pathed to the beta patch executable. c:/programfiles/steam/steamapps/common/arma2operationarrowhead/launcharma2OABetaPatch Note your path to the directory may differ.

Climbed ontop of a 5 foot rock. Almost killed myself doing it. Opened up gear, and clicked Tent placement. It took. Yay!!! It is hidden in a rock!!! Boo!!! I cant access it lol. Yay!!! I climbed onto rock again and got the loot icon!!! Boo!!! I instantly broke my leg and fell unconscious. The agony of defeat, with the joy of the ultimate tent placement.

Haha. I was literally jumping for joy at my keyboard, until I broke my leg. Oh well, gonna keep on trying other places.

So the server I play on clears out when nightfall comes. I jump in the one vehicle I have. Head to NWAF. 3 people online. Screw it, Im bored. Drive to the SE Barracks. Loot 1 weapon. Drive down middle of Airfield to North Barracks. Empty, bunch of ammo. Drive to Firehouse and Air Traffic Control Tower..empty except ammo. Now I am only one on server. All the good loot hit up before I get there by hoppers. Bored still. I head to Stary. Drive right up the middle. Same exact thing. Ammo 2-3 piles of ammo and the weapon that lies in the middle of it. Gone. Someone please log on and shoot me. I have lost the will to live.

Sometimes when a server restarts the tents and vehicles all disappear and it needs to be restarted again. How do you tell everyone on the server you are resetting it to fix this if you are not the global admin, just a normal admin?

Yeah this is lame. I was afk watching a movie on netflix movie while online. So about 4 hours. My friend informed me his tent was looted and his vehicle was stolen. I laughed. Kept watching my movie. 5 minutes later a guy loads in right ontop of my tent. In looting mode. I alt tab back in (windowed mode) and pull out pistol to shoot him. Next thing you know I am teleported into the middle of Berezino. Nothing I can do. I am an admin, not the actual owner of server, but admin nonetheless. I could have reset the server, but would have done no good. So I waited for the rest of the guys to get online and the actual guy who rents the server. 100% of the tents were looted. 2 vehicles we did own gone. By now most of the stuff is probably spread out among several different servers. Just kind of sucks when someone does it blatantly infront of you and nothing you can do is reset, which ruins the fun of the other players on your server.

Well I do not own/rent the server but I am an admin. That is, when I am in game I can log into Server Control and can do things such as kick, ban, and restart. Or those are the only options I have. I do not log in much at all, except if the guy who runs the server asks me to and restart it. I feel bad restarting though because I did not know how to let other players on it, a reset is coming.

You can also place them on a hill :o !!! The problem with tents...they will be found no matter where you put them, eventually.

First of all if your screen is blurry...you need to adjust your 3D resolution to the same resolution as your game resolution. That is, if you are running 1900x600 for example, then increase your 3D resolution to the same or as close as you can get it. To adjust that, go to Options>Video>3D Resolution..

Night time is the right time!! The server I play on clears out right when nightfall hits, maybe about 3-4 players tops. Then it is just straight free for all loots and stockpile of supplies. Sure sometimes I come across the guy server hopping to the low population server...most of the time they end up Alt F4'ing when you toss a flare into their direction (blinds those with NVG's). Stary during night. Flare up the Northern Hillside over looking tents and loot away. You can see everything in the tents AND you can see the dudes server hopping in :) Still a big risk, but can be worthwhile. I honestly love playing on my server during the night.

The problem with the wire is that it is so common. I can go into any factory and loot 2 or more at anytime. Just for fun I went to Krast and Polana factories today and looted 7. Now if I only had something to do with all this wire.
