You have just created another player who has no reason to trust anyone in game. Sure it was a dickish move, but it happens all the time. Just giving you shit man, but maybe next time you can say "I don't know if I am friendly, maybe you might want to leave."

I have this same problem too, I have the 1.7.2.3 patch with the latest Arma 2 Beta Patch 94945. When I refresh the server list, 80% of them are red x's which I see they are not updated with correct Dayz patch. But when I find ones that are 1.7.2.3 and try to join it goes straight to Wait for Host and that is it. If I join a server with same 1.7.2.3 patch and a different Arma 2 beta patch same problem...supposed to be backwards compatible right?

The one thing all zombie movies and books seem to have in common. Once you are biten, you are doomed. As it is now you can get eaten and injured. I think a feature where the player can be biten and infected would add to the element that this is an actual zombie mod. Also there is no cure (well I haven't seen too many zombie flicks where there is one). So it will be the players choice to tell his friends or others that he/she is biten. So basically, player could become infected, and will eventually die. What he/she does in between that time could be up to the player. Might affect how people play aswell knowing if they shoot at each other, risking drawing zombies to them and being bit. Even a disconnect could not affect an infection. I don't know, just seems this should be part of the zombie apocalypse. Maybe the player would turn into a zombie, at which that point would die and lose control of their character. So could just respawn leaving his zombie body to wreak havoc with the rest of the zeds. Although it would be fun to watch yourself turn into zombie and chase your friends, if you didnt tell them. (Note: no clue how this part could be implemented into the game technically)

First of all, that video is awesome. The weather effects and mist, wow. What mod is that from? Dayz? If it is I have never played on a server with wind or mist. I wish there were some. I like this suggestion a lot, but mainly just posting because I liked that video, that environment with zombies and players thrown in the mix, wow. Or is this video just plain Arma 2 environment?

Haha nope. Blood bags and cooked meat. What is weird is it just eventually went away. Never found anti-biotics. I have wandered into Berezino to loot hospital once with 1200 blood passing out randomly. It was a stressful situation because none of my friends were online. So I needed a blood bag or matches whichever I could aquire first, but I knew if I got zed aggro it was do or die. Found matches and went hunting. Passed out about 8 times lol. Again, that is what I love about this mod, the survival element. The zombies do not scare me at all though, that is I have plenty of med supplies. Only reason I was so jacked up to begin with is, I crashed my motorcycle into a tree and barely survived the explosion.

I agree with customization but only appearance wise

Yeah that system is touch and go. I have dropped to 24 temp on some servers and nothing. On others have dropped to 28 and hacked up a lung. Either way it was really nothing to worry about, as all I did was cough and annoy my friends. I like the unconscious system in place now. I love this mod, just want it to feel more zombie-ish, but hey, its still a work in progress.

Exact same thing happened to me in the past 2 days. 2 different servers Seattle 102 and US 124 1.7.2 beta patch 94444 Basically played first day of patch. Died near Krasnostav Warehouse/Factory (by an uber hitting zombie who broke my leg and ate me from 12k blood to 0 after knocking me unconscious). Ran back to corpse (which was not there) from Otmel. Logged off to eat. Logged back on and was respawned back in Otmel. Next day logged on, in Otmel still. Ran to Berenzino. Looted military tents, hospital and store. Nothing great, but better than flashlight and bandage. Server announces restart in 120 seconds. I log off. Log back on 5 minutes later. Back in Otmel as if I hadn't played. This bug is more deadly than players, zeds, and environment glitches. Other than the fresh restarts after hours of play, the game runs perfectly. I was butthurt about the one zed killing me, but that was only because I had been alive for 14 days (prior patch my character had 18 broken legs) so I did not think 1 zombie would break my leg, knock me out, and kill me. Losing the gear was no big deal, it is replaceable.

Two days 1.7.2 has been out. Been playing in game fine. Sure I am pissed that I died after 14 days alive from 1 zombie who breaks my leg (18 total broken legs with that character) and knocks me unconscious and I lose 12k blood and die. Sure I am pissed when I run back to my corpse its gone. Now here is the beef. I get disconnected after I run to my corpse, which isnt there (server restart I guess). I log back on and I am back on the damn shore Otmel. Fine, I didnt have anything anyways. I run to Berezino to loot the tents. I get there, and it yellow chains me as I am trying to loot. Disconnected. I log back on, different server as the one I was on went offline. Poof, back in Otmel. Fuck it I am done for the night. I log on today, play for 4 hours, looting , all stocked up. Happy camper. Server says restart, log out in 120 seconds. I abort. Disconnect. Wait 5 minutes. Server back online. I log back on, Poof. Fuck me. Back in Otmel. Nothing but a flashlight, bandage, and pain killers, which I want to take the box and choke on. 2 wasted days.

Haha eventually going to lose everything. I would prefer to do it by being killed by a zed, a player, a ladder, a rock, or even a server reset. The biggest danger now is logging off.

Yeah I know, alpha. Cant submit a bug report as really now sure what to say. Alpha is a working model of a game you are trying to "promote", key word working. Still has bugs and kinks that need working out, and yes we are lucky to be playing. So why don't you educate me how this "bug" should be reported. Server: Pick one. Does not matter. What I was doing: Um playing the game, looting, running, (mostly running). Time: Pick at time Not hacked. Didnt die from environment or bug. Was not swimming. Was not killed. Pretty much logged on, played. Logged back on. I guess I will take a few days off and wait it out. Good luck to the rest of you, I am glad I didnt find anything great like NVG's.

Anyone know of a good one that does not reroute me back to Armaholic.com? I have an account there and when you go to the FTP page it ask for login, I login and then get the internet exlorer message diagnose connection. Maybe they are being flooded with people trying to download the latest, either way, every search reroutes to that website, even the official Arma 2 site redirects to Armaholics, or the Armaholics site redirects you to Arma 2, which I have accounts for both.

Going to have to face reality. Saying some "Russians" are hackers does not mean they all are. Infact if you watch Youtube, most of the hacker videos are Americans, selling their hacks. Russia, Ukraine, etc...are on different time zone, when you go to bed, they are waking up. So, yeah you going to be looted while you sleep. It happens.

There are no points, no levels , no rewards, no unlocks, no quests, no auction houses, no perks. Just you and other noobs trying to survive. That is why it is an anti game. This anti game has put Arma 2 back on the map and game developers are paying close attention to this I can assure you. Even if this mod fails it has opened the eyes of future projects from other game developers.

The people who went in on this server are no longer playing this mod. It will be going down within the next 8 days. Please move your gear and tents to another server. Thank you and sorry for the inconvenience.

So after the tent wipe I thought I read vehicles were going to be reset. So I set off on my motorbike driving all over the map to see if I can find all the vehicles. None in their spawn. None nowhere on the map. This being said. I know the rest of them are somewhere off the map. I was expecting to have the motorbike reset, it didnt. So I can assume there was not reset and that now everyone must wait 7 days until the hoarders bring them back onto the map or not use them. Nothing against groups or clans hoarding anything, its their work and effort, but 7 days and off the map? Seems a bit extreme. Do they even need to drive them or do they just need to log on and access them? Should I spend all day driving off the map looking? I don't even really want another vehicle, but I sure would like to see one.

For every new server that pops up, 4 more disappear...forever. My friends and I decided to get a server, which we currently play on. Now it is just 2 of us when we were 12. Servers which we used to play on no longer exist. Not even sure if we are going to continue paying for our own server. I do not know the direction the mod is going, that is, how popular it is going to remain. I like this mod enough to buy it if it were a standalone. If it were to become its own game, I think I would rather pay a monthly fee (or retail box fee) for BI to maintain/host regular servers. There are still plenty of servers, do not get me wrong, but with it is really impossible to know if the one you choose will be there tomorrow. If you play on Chicago 50, (our server) it will be going down within the next 8 days, please move your tents and gear somewhere. The others who donate do not play anymore and I do not play enough to pay for it alone. I myself and going to start looking for a new server to play on aswell. Just not sure where as the ones, as I stated before, have faded away.

Not calling you a liar, but in your first screenshot there is a firehouse and buildings. In your second screenshot there are no buildings and an assload of powerlines? Maybe you put up the wrong one. I totally believe that is what happened, just saying your screenshot is not neccessarily backing it up.

As far as I know admins can only see log files with your GUID on it. Not locations/gear. If you have been kicked from a game it will say "Kicked" or "Banned" when it happens with a box for you to click to close it out. Sounds like the server is being hacked by the script kiddies.
