I was just suggesting you change servers, but I've come to realize something, once you have what you want, what's there to do? Hunt other players? Take a loud gun into town with lots of ammo and mow zombies down for an hour? Losing your gear gives you something to do, there's nothing like the feeling of finding a gun or piece of equipment you want and having it fresh in your posession to show off to your pals.

The hell? Why would you guys hang around? You were smart enough to be using vent, ts or raid call to communicate I presume, after you guys have dumped 20 rounds into him, why did no one say "fuck this, this guy is a hacker, roll out"? I know that I wouldn't hang around trying to kill someone who takes no damage or utilizes tools outside the game to gain an advantage over me, hell no, anyone else, fine, but a script kid. I'll pass.

L85A2 AWS-NVG/Thermal scope with decent zoom, use it to avoid players :P and if you farm the Barracks and Starry as much as I do, ammo is never a problem, I usually have an AS50 as a secondary just to help level the playing field in case I run into a fiesty player. Currently using the Mk48 Mod 0 as a main and M107 as a secondary, dropped my L85 to pick up a shotgun to dump outside barracks, came back equipped the L85 and just as I did the server went down, the L85 didn't come with me. dammit.

Had 3 run ins with hackers in the time I've been playing this, the most recent was a hacker on Sniper hill in Elektro using an invincibility script, it was me and 2 others from our raid call group, me with an L85/AS50 combo, another with a MK48 MOD 1/M4A1 CCO SD, and our third pal who we were working on gearing up with his AKM, we're making our way over and down the hill towards Elektro when buddy with the AKM says hes shot and down on the ground, I run back to the top where I see buddy prone facing a tree. As soon as I make contact the bandit shoots me in the leg and my leg breaks forcing me to prone, while hes exposed himself buddy with the AKM starts blasting at him while I try to roll to the side so that buddy with the AKM isn't in my line of fire, the bandit says his leg is broken over voice chat and continues to run around, as he runs past me I dump 10-15 rounds into his legs, going ?___? as he doesn't go down. Just as the bandit goes to another tree, buddy with the MK48 runs right up to the bandits left side and starts unloading, the bullets are definitely hitting but the bandit is still running around chirping away over voice chat. He runs to buddy with the AKM while the MK48 is pretty much glued to him blasting away, the bandit runs over to buddy with AKM and we hear buddy say "He's fking stealing shit out of my backpack", we decide its foolish to continue this further and go to another server to patch up and get on with getting more medical supplies. Not the worst experience I've had, looking back it was actually kind of funny, worst experience for me is the glitch where you join a server and ALL gear is gone.

I came across a camp west of the NW Airfield that had about 8 tents with 5 MK48 Mod 0 in them amongst other things, they also had the car from Stary, the bus, and a jeep looking SUV, grats on the SVD Camo but I've never been a fan of the MK48, too loud.

This happened to me this morning, logging into US 659, before I get ingame I get the "Faust has died" message, after that I load in, and I'm in the debug hills with nothing but my ghillie suit. I change servers and I end up spawned by Solinichny without my L85A2 AWS, 2xNVG, Rangefinder, full tool belt, Coyote BP w/ AS50, 3xm107mags, 6 stanag, food/med supplies. This is the second time this has happened, but this time I lost a bit more than the first time, fortunetly we just set up a camp and found a extra L85 at a crash site the previous day, so at least I have my favorite rifle back, NVG, and RangeFinder, AS50's are a dime a dozen, but all that other stuff like the backpack and GPS ARRGGGGGGGGGGGG

I noticed this happening to me whenever I joined a server where the game would stick at the loading screen, and I shut down DayZ through the task manager, after a couple of those I get into a server which may or may not be a lagfest and be spawned at the coast, hasn't happened for a week or two though

Should have cranked up the brightness and Gamma :) , poor man's NVG.

Also, when you find those heli crashes, the loot is spread out around the heli in a close proximity, usually up to 4 weapons, or a few weapons and some items/ammo boxs. The loot and chopper locations are determined when the server restarts, if theres nothing on the ground around the chopper someone has already looted it.

Join a server that has 2 or less players on it, log in, die, make the 30-40minute treck back and voila.

Just wait till the sniper rifles are nerfed and people start whining about players camping in buildings and they can't get any loot because they get shot as soon as they come around the corner. I don't have any complaints in regards to snipers really, if they knocked out the ability to dupe them, they could go from there on what to do next after their numbers have decreased significantly.

Found 1 east of Polana about 20 minutes ago, has an AS50, M107, Bizon SD, Med box and some garbage, took only an M107 Mag and marked it on the map for all to see. US 670 Loot might still be there.

Hahahaha this has happened to me as well, the first time was a night server with only me and I presume the admin, I see something moving in the treeline so I switch to the L85, sure enough its the other player, went prone, 3 shots, he died and as I was moving to see what he had, "No message recieved for 15 seconds" I lol'd. 2nd time the Raidcall group and I were server hopping looking for the chopper on Skulka Island, found one, and the 3 guys that were on the island were attacked all of a sudden by 2 other players, they smoke them and one of them who was in a clan keeps coming back to the island, he was killed at least 7 times by them, then once by me as I was making my way along the coast towards the island, then those guys on thbe island get kicked and then me and a couple others who were making there way there got the boot too. EDIT: A third time I was farming the Barracks in the NW Airfield, after looking into the southern Barracks and making my way back to the north ones the server restarts, it comes back up in about 45 seconds and the entrance to the north barracks is sandbagged off.

Hahaha, he won't have that gun for more than a couple days anyway, he will then be looted and the cycle will continue until someone actually deletes it. When I see that rifle, I see it as an insane advantage during night, but all it is during the day is a couple less steps than switching from an L85 to an AS50.

Get some food and water, and a couple other things, then its straight to the Stary, loot tents, look around for heli crashes, finish off at the NW Airfield.

The first time I got my hands on the L85 with its thermal scope I fell in love, I had previously found an AS50 at another crash site a couple hours earlier so this was a treat, incredibly easy for spotting people at all times of the day, pretty much as far as you can see. I later became one of those asses that snipes from the hill in Elektro, getting the people looting bodies in the firehall towers, I just killed my 3rd or 4th person in the server when I noticed I was poking out of my tree too much, moved back, touched the pine tree breaking my leg and killing me instantly, I didn't hear a shot of any kind, making my way back to my body, a hacker killed the entire server, then the admin restarted the server to prevent anyone from losing gear(?). Guess what happens to bodies when servers restart. Currently have an FN-FAL PVS/4 with tonnes of ammo and a M107 in the ol back pack, would trade the FN-FAL for an L85 in a heartbeat.

This is why you farm in near empty servers, before moving to the populated ones, no need to "trade" with people you don't know when a couple hours of farming gets you most of what you want. As mentioned before trust no one except those you actually know.

I was in the NW Airfield in server US2211 farming the barracks loading a bus up with weapons, I decide to leave and just as I'm leaving the "No response from server xx seconds" message appears, meaning the server is going down. I leave the server and come back as soon as it comes back up, I forgot to save the bus, but it wasn't where I first found it by the radar station, also someone had somehow sandbagged and fenced in the barracks entrance I was farming in less than probably 30 seconds the server was up, it seemed pretty sketchy so I left the server

This happened to me in the past hour, logging into servers through DayZCommander looking for ones that are during the day, finding that even though DC says the server is in the hours of daylight, its still a night server. Regardless, I logged in to find that I had been teleported to shore with no gear whatsoever, what a nuisance.

The L85A2 AWS uses Stanag ammo which isn't as rare as people make it out to be, I was using the L85A2 AWS for close range/thermo scouting with an AS50 for the long range kills the past 5 days before dieing this morning to a pine tree in Elektro and not being able to get my stuff since the server rebooted -____- when I was coming back to my body, have to run to the home server to get new ones now. It depends on your playstyle, my first impression of the L85A2 was that it made finding people extremely easy as they light up like a christmas tree even when they are at the maximum viewing distance, never had a problem finding ammo for it, especially if you farm the barracks.

Damn I hate when it spawns you down south when you up north, I wish I found a bike today on my way back up to the NW airfield.
