OP, Ciao! ------------------------ Ventos, Beans! ----------------------- MrKaliwhatchamajigger, Google (and the DayZMod forum) is your friend. You have the tools. Unfortunately they won't detect script kiddies (and let's face it, they're not hackers) before they use their scripts. You can only catch them AFTER they've used a script. Until that point the best you can do is be a fair and proactive admin and gain the trust of your player base.

One admin to another, Welcome to the world of headaches and hackers. Well ... 99.99% aren't hackers, just script-kiddies (skiddies) that downloaded someone elses work and use that until Battleye catches them. Anyway, the "thank yous" will be far and few between, and it's going to be a pain in your butt on occasion. I suggest getting a couple of buddies you trust to help you admin things. It's a pain doing one alone, and even worse doing multiple servers. Am I QQ'ing a bit ... lol maybe. It's a pain sometimes. But let me tell you what, that one time in a thousand that one single player comes into TS or emails to thank you makes up for all of it. As an owner/admin of multiple servers you've shown me absolutely nothing to prove that this guy hacked/scripted. Does he have a hacked gun? Yes, sure, but those are a dime a dozen now and if I banned every single player I came across with one I would have empty servers. I warn people and ask them to either drop/destroy the weapon or remove it from my server. Usually they take them elsewhere. If they don't then I repeatedly boot their ass until they get the message. It's very, very rare that someone will get themselves banned for having the as50-TWS on my servers. Usually they remove or drop them on request. Besides, there are so many tents duplicating that gun, on so many servers, they know they can easily pick it up elsewhere. I will, however, insta-ban them if they're using the as50-TWS to camp noobs on the beach ... I consider that to be part of the "disruptive to the game" rule. Did he teleport? There's no proof here of that. Maybe you'll get lucky and an admin can find something in the logs to support your claim, but for now there's no proof this guys is an actual scripter. ~DB

Yeah, LOL, I've had people tell me they find my way to my servers quite often when they look for "Gravel Pit," and get, "hosted by Gravel," instead. My apologies to the Gravel Pit guys, but I've had the Gravel nickname in R/L for almost 20 years now. ~DB

I run multiple servers (dedicated, high-speed DayZ "open" servers, and Lingor Island private hive) through HFB, and I use DayZ Commander all the time. In fact, the only time I have an issue with DayZ Commander is connecting to the Lingor Island private hive. And I suspect it's because I have to launch the "beta patch" and enable the Lingor Island add-ons everytime I want to get in. Since I'm there, and it's just restarted, I just use the multiplayer/internet/remote/IP-Port function instead of exiting all the way out and re-using DayZ Commander. Also, concerning the OP, I'll state in this thread, as I have in a couple of others ... the guys at HFB have walked me through every stage of setting up multiple servers, both open and private. I have never, ever, had an issue with their response time or ability to help me. Granted there have been times that they have asked questions or told me what to do and I was totally lost. But that's mostly because you can find any common rock in your garden and it will know more about computers than I do ... although I am learning. I don't alt-f4, ever, even if it's a hacker killing me. I die a lot too ... to both skiddies and legit players. And I'm certainly not some uber-leet-player. Furthermore, it's my policy, on my servers, that when admin are playing the game we run around with the absolute best loot we can scrounge up, and we encourage people to shoot at us. We deliberately take potshots at known-noobs to get them into fight or flight mode. And we never bitch about dying, alt-F4, or reset the server because we were killed. I'd rather that I (and my admins) die to noobs who can loot our gear, than go all day without dying. The only time we, as admins, don't won't to be killed, is when we're testing glitches/tents/vehicles, etc., or getting screen-caps/frapse of skiddies and their duping camps. When we're doing that we will announce in global chat that we're doing it. I like to think that the core group that I have playing on US 1550 and US 2522 recognize us as proactive admins (both in playing the game and protecting the server) and abide by the requests as they come up. You just have to Google how to set that up (Hint: easiest way is to use Six Updater.) With the caveat(s) that I don't cheat and I haven't been globally banned before ... so hell, I could be full of shit for all I know.
