I have a ghillie suit that I want to trade for civilian clothing. The ghillie/backpack bug deleted my own civilian clothing and I really want to wear my hero skin.

You could also gather leather from the animals you gut and make shoes. sorry - this game doesn't need to be quite so complicated. Lets just fight the occassional zed, survive the nukers and live through the fire fights with the clans. skiddies aren't too much of a problem because by the time I get onto the servers their Mommies have them in bed. -

I don't think bandits are too much of a problem. They aren't the biggest threat in the game. It is the skiddies sitting on a hill with 200 rounds for their ill gotten as50 tws that are the problem. I can go, toe to toe with any bandit. But getting pwnd by some 12 year and his scripts from 1600m just sux. -

WoW - really. This is as constructive as you could get. Yes we all agree that the 16 slots is extreme and maybe a typo. Let us suggest 1 slot on the tool belt and leave it at that. -

she picks the cans up and throws them. also make sure that you remove EVERYTHING from each spawn site. If you leave any items the respawn wont happen in that particular spawn point. it is called loot piling. ;) the skiddies and folk with dupe tents hate us for doing it. oh you need to be at least 120m away for about ten minutes and the counter will reset if anybodu else wonders into range. -

Get the big scrubbing brush out and get rid of every single tent, every piece of laid barb, every tank trap and sand bag. Reset every vehicle to broken and empty. Put everybody back on the beach with stats intact and basic gear. It will get rid of any ambiguity when it comes to weapons. And the skiddies are all getting caught now so there won't be as many hacked weapons. The tent trick won't work unless servers intentionally downgrade to 1.7.2.4 and then back. And THAT would be very naughty. Scrub, scrub scrub. -

GPS should be removed also. That system does not run without human intervention. It takes thousands of people all over the globe to maintain it on a minute by minute basis. Unless the zeds are still rocking up for a hard dayz work, those types of system would fail within months of a world wide catastrophe. -

Having a large green pointy arrow floating in space 300m away like some crazy HUD. Nah, sorry. Learn to read a map, use a compass and landmarks for navigation. It is actually pretty simple and very rewarding when it comes off. Especially during a night exercise. -

The cleaning kit should be unlimited. Like your matches or stay sharp knife. There are assumptions in game that are used to simplify certain mechanics and even though we still haven't discovered the everlasting gobstopper, we are still comfortable with the idea of our bottomless box if matches. Weapon degradation is a difficult mechanic as modern weapons are really designed to function for many thousands of uses before wearing out. But jams caused by a dirty weapon would certainly make it interesting if you then have to go through the mechanic of unjamming and readying the weapon for use. Imagine a 30second delay in the middle of a firefight or just as that zed train got you cornered in the apartments. Now that would make good fraps cinema. ;) -
Put them in your back pack. ;) I have to say that the idea that ammo is separate from magazines is a no brainer. I hate having to carry 10 mags when one ammo box(2 spaces) and 3 mags would be so much more practicable. This would also mean that ammo that is nearly the same could really be swapped between mags more easily. ie the NATO standard. I also think that it could be used as a mechanism to cut down ammo spawns and make ammunition a much more valuable commodity.

But a middle age weapon would be very hard pushed to penetrate the many, many layers of material used in modern day armour. Even the ancient Japanese worked out that you could massively reduce the damage, and chance of infection from a shit covered arrow head, by simply wearing a silk shirt under you armour. -
How about having some civilian clothing spawns? I am currently in a situation where I am a hero in a ghillie suit. The ghillie suit/back pack bug deleted my civvies. It really is very inconvenient and difficult to persuade other survivors that I am not a bandit or griefer.

Unfortunately I was doing a little recce in an area that I knew would be a hotbed for hero KoS. I donned my ghillie and nek minnit......my civilian kit was deleted. I've been running around the last 7 days looking like a potted plant and nobody will trust me. Life sux just now until they put civilian clothing spawns into the game. -

Join a server with the incorrect versions of arma and dayz. When it gets stuck on the loading screen use ctrl_alt_del and task manager to 'end task' . Then log into your server again and you should be back at the beach. :D -

Why do you want to punish players that 'constantly die'? You would punish a survivor after he is unlucky enough to spawn a couple times in sniper alley? This seems a little harsh. No points to allocate. No xp to gain. No skills to improve. No trade system. no class system. No thanks. Don't most players spawn in their groups anyway. Who cares if you respawn away from the group? Your no more than a 15 minute run back away, or most decent clans will have transport come pick you up.
