It isn't server hopping, technically. It is joining a server with the wrong dayz or arma version. And it can be used as an exploit, but that would be very naughty. -

You really have to make sure that your versions of dayz and arma2 ate the same as the server you are trying to join. Commander is awesome at managing the versions and will install them on the fly. For those times when you really need to change servers. ;) -

I was thinking about trading my bizon. But after having just cleared the nwaf with it and then popping it back into my pack of eternal holding, I think i'll keep it. It is more suited to the loner survivor/occasional medic lifestyle that I have chosen. And thank you for the opportunity to get my post count up. ;) -

Or find hundreds of incredibly powerful weapons lying around, or repair helicopters, or run for miles without a break in full gear(ok I could - but I bet you couldn't), or hide from a zombie inside a fir tree, or......... Let us just say that hide body involves dragging it away from the area of death and camouflaging it within a shell scrape. -
I'm not sure if this helps, or will be an issue for you, but I always make sure that dayz AND arma2 version are matched when I log on. Commander is best at this as it will change versions with a click of your mouse. I have very rarely had to wait longer than a few minutes and I play on fr, de, us and au servers.

Been done a couple of times, thank you giovanni. Had one guy in the group, he had an Enfield and I swear he was using a mouse pad on his laptop. Every couple minutes 'dingaling signaling' the dinner bell would go off. It got to the point where we had to take it off him and make him stand in the naughty corner. Not before he managed to shoot two team members and attract every zed in stary. There were a lot of ded zeds in the big shed that night. -
Ok, I have worked out what the issue wad. I may have been looking in a loot pile at the same time. When I was swapping my second into main the first was being placed into the loot pile.

On I more helpful note. I seem to remember reading about a 5 minute 'shock' timer. Could be that. Have you waited for the hour glass to count down?

If you like to have the bejebus scared out of you by crazed hopping zombies or the tension of hearing another player's footfalls as they climb the stairs to your location. Maybe you want to bait a sniper into revealing his position for your team to take out. Or just wonder through the countryside slaughtering coos and living on your own. If any of those things appeal. Put your hand in your pocket and splurge. The stand alone is months away and the hackers are getting dealt with. Hopefully have a hive db reset in the next patch to get rid of all the tents and reset vehicles. -

Dayz commander. You can dynamically change versions of dayz and arma2. It also supports lingor now. -
Last night i noticed that when I swapped my second main out of the pack, it wasn't replaced by my first choice main. Heart stopping moment when I still have 14 empty slots showing in the pack. Without exiting the bag screen I put my second choice back into the pack and my first choice re-appeared in my main slot. Phew! I did not want to be stuck with a bizon main. Is there something I am doing wrong? is it just safer to drop my main and ammo, then swap out the bizon and then put my first choice into the pack?(damn, even typing the process takes an age)

Loot spawn every time. Probably why I have only a g17 and an m4a3 but there is something very satisfying about scavenging your own hardware. -

Hide, definitely. Especially if they are geared well. It would be folly to leave a corpse full of loot and with the way things are going just now, you can almost guarantee they will be a dupe tent waiting to be emptied anyways. -

It is all in the game. Just sucked at the time. I was 17 days and about 60 hours game time in that life. I suppose I got my comeuppance for planning to server hop to the patient. Kudos to you soap. You played well. ;) Have some beans. Paris, not every medic is whitelist mate. Some of us just do it for the sake of it. No need for organised camps to restock. Noobsmcgee - I don't wear a shemagh. I wear the checkered shirt mate. It comes with my hero skin. It is why I had gone to all the trouble of trading a ghillie for civilian clothes about 30 minutes before this incident. I found that people I was helping got a but nervous when I rocked up looking like a potted plant. -

I did - apparently. It would seem that kindan and his mate soapwater are more interested in murder than survival.. Worst thing is, I ran back to my corpse and got EVERYTHIING. they didn't even bother looting me. -

overly aggressive with my g17. you really need to work out what weapons are anti zed and which weapons are anti player. I was running down towards the military area in stary in my hero skin. no camo, no ghillie - i had just traded my ghillie for a civilian suit with kelbouchard. I will make sure that it is known that you and kindan are KoS. Medic killers. (and here is where my tantrum peaked. This was definitely 'toys out the pram' time here.)
