It is only an alpha guys. We need to be patient and constructive. The vast majority of load screen issues can be sorted by ensuring dayz, arma2 and battleye are ALL up to date. -

Wow, geared up in one day with range finders and nvg. Which server are you on? I've been playing for weeks and haven't seen any of that gear spawn. Never mind enough for me and my mates. ;) -

Best way to avoid this is ensure your software versions are identical to the server ones. Install commander and you can change the 'versions' on the fly, if you want to change serves. -

Eat more meat. I've noticed a distinct drop in acoustic response when I have taken a bit of zed damage. Or, give us some relevant information and allow us to help you properly. -

There are many solutions. The best one is to ensure that the version of dayz and arma2, you are running locally, match the versions on the server. Oh and welcome back to the beach. No matter where you are on the map, you will spawn on the beach with all your gear after a ctrl_alt_del. -
Could you tell us which version of dayz and arma2 you are using? Also would help if you could tell us any server details. Location and software versions again. We would love to help, but you have to give us relevant information.

Some ideas i have for reducing Camping bandits

How about a 30 second cool down after respawn. During which time you would be invulnerable and therefore able to clear the beach. Or maybe even a no kill zone that expires after travelling 100m. Camping spawn points is NOT acceptable behaviour and shouldn't be rewarded with a murder stat increase. It really is not in the spirit of the game and only carried out by malevolent trolls. -

How to maybe fix the endless respawning!

This respawn bug only occurs when you go to a .24 after being on a .25 server. Staying on the correct server version should never give you the bug and you could therefore attach any number of random 'fixes' and call them true. Like me, I noticed that if I log when I'm sober I get no respawn but logging drunk.......damn that is just a recipe for respawn cake. -

Server hopping between different versions is definitely a big no no unless you really need to be back on the beach and sniped., I have to that the only time I have been aware of this issue is after changing servers. Maybe try the in game server search instead of commander for now. -
Can't play. (Battleye client/endless loading)

This is the solution that works for me. Manually download and overwrite your battleye.dll with the most recent. Manually download the patch 1.7.2.5. Keep this in an easy to get to folder. Manually download and install the latest(95883) version of arms. Load up six launcher and verify. Leave it loaded. Now copy the 1.7.2.5 files and paste them over the files in your arma/dayz/addons folder. Now you should be able to launch and get past the load screen. Leave six loaded after launch - just in case you need to change servers. And do not join a 1.7.2.4 server after playing on a 1.7.2.5 server, unless you need to be back on the beach and griefer fodder that is. -

Ok, respawning at the coast has merit. I have no issue with that. It is clearly designed to prevent server hopping, ghosting and other nefarious activities. Unfortunately I have some issues with me and my mates finding servers with low enough pings to let us all on, we pretty much cover the globe from Sweden to New zealand. When the game bombs at the load screen then we are all resigned starting off on the beach front. Sigh. How about a log out timer of 20 seconds, this would stop the alt-f4 cowards and a log in cool down of 5 minutes would stop the ghosters, to a certain degree. Maybe prevent player death within 30 seconds of spawn, unless PvP initiated.. this would slow down the spawn point campers. -
The same issue with six launcher. I have to load up six and 'verify' dayz. Then I have to manually update battleye.dll(might only need to be done once) manually update dayz to 1.7.2.5(every time). It sounds like a pain but it only takes a few minutes. Ignore loading six launcher and try the rest, you might be surprised. Oh and don't change between server versions in game. You will get bumped to the coast.

Silent, stealth zeds. Hiding, waiting for you to pass beneath them and dropping in for the party. Or skulking behind the wall before smashing through as you grab those beans. -

It is all very well having those pesky zeds in all our favourite military camps. ;) How about having random NPC guard patrols on low population servers? They could spawn away from towns or in the camps and airfields. It would keep us night time players a little more honest. -

PandaDragonThing - silent, stealth zeds. I'm not sure my heart could take it. Brilliant idea. They could smash through walls in supermarkets and drop down from ceilings in factories and barns. -

It isn't really a matter of making the servers feel populated. It is more about adding a random element. Something in a ghillie suit that won't slow down inside a building and doesn't need to be stood beside you to do damage. Zombie hoarded during peak times would be pretty awesome. -

I would like to see situations of random infestations near PvP hotspots. Imagine the mayhem if the zed population was increased to a horde when there are two or three teams having a running fire fight in Elektro. The longer the fight continues the more zeds are 'attracted'. That would definitely put the big fat zombie cat amongst the plump juicy pigeons. -

Ok, I'm not suggesting we introduce classes, although that would make things more interesting. What about automatic uniform changes? I want to be a medic. It would be nice if my appearance changed to indicate this. Maybe as I heal more players then a red cross appears on my gear increasing in size with heals. Much like bandits want a bandana and snipers have a ghillie suit. I just makes sense that people who show a little humanity in game are identified as well. -

What you mean like back in the day before supermarkets? When our ancestors used to preserve meats and other food stuffs to get through the hard winters. Livestock has to stay. It makes sense that loners would completely avoid towns and become self sufficient. -

Maybe the coastal respawn bug should be implemented. ;) I know that it is slightly contentious and that the best way to avoid it is to stay on the same server version but it feels kinda justified, almost penance for the night cycle stary sobor run. It is good to know that a sit down timer will be introduced. Although that won't stop the intentional dc'ers. They could 'leave' the player active on the server for the duration of the sit down cool if the disconnect happens within 10 seconds of receiving PvP injuries. That would definitely make alt-f4 or pulling the lan cable a much less attractive option.
