zombies should have attracted to player's voice
Rigor Mortis (DayZ) replied to arvinzd's topic in Suggestions
I love these pointless threads about things that are already in the works and containing huge "you're a troll" sections. Really entertaining to read :D On topic: love the idea, but I have to say that it's so incredibly obvious that I assume the devs are going to implement it without the suggestion. -
How are you aggro'ing 5 zeds every time you spawn? I think the better solution would be for the devs to work harder on the zombie AI... I HATE how they aggro right now... it doesn't matter how quiet I'm being or what I'm doing, they will run from 300 meters away sometimes and other times i can walk right up to them and they won't do anything... not to mention that they still walk through walls/doors.

Been suggested, albeit not exactly the same. I like the idea of being able to craft a ghillie suit (in fact I think they should ONLY be crafted), but not with what you placed here. Try searching and posting on an existing suggestion thread next time: http://forums.dayzgame.com/index.php?/topic/166604-crafting-a-ghillie-suit/ https://www.google.com/?gws_rd=ssl#q=site:http:%2F%2Fforums.dayzgame.com%2Findex.php%3F%2Fforum%2F128-suggestions%2F+craft+ghillie&safe=off

I think this falls into the 'balance' category, and I'm always against doing something just for balance. If these were commonly used and made sense to find randomly I think it would be a different story... but as is I have to say no thanks.

I'm not a fan of this idea because I enjoy searching for gear and living 'off the land' in DayZ... but I had an idea that might help. What if you gave control of joining a server to the hive? When you started the game, you picked which _type_ of game you wanted to play (Regular, Veteran, Experimental) and the hive looked at ping and which servers already had people and gave you a spot. Your spot would be reserved for a set period as well (like an IP address) so when you logged off/back on, you'd end up on the same server again. Solves server hopping and will help group people together.

I would suggest you research thermodynamics and anatomy. A human isn't a simple bag of water, he/she contains a pumping system with pressure differentials. I would go into details, but since you obviously haven't studied physics more advanced than that taught in highschool, I'd be happy to just reference the same site I linked before and hope you read it this time. Oh, and I did read your whole post... I was mentioning that there are many other ways than tying the bag to a doorknob (or similar object) and lying under it, which you cited as 'the only feasible way.'
-
While you are accurate in saying you can't hold the bag above your highest point ( ), you are incorrect that this is required to administer an IV. You need only keep it above your heart. In med school, doctors and nurses have to IV themselves many times for practice -- not only can it be done, it's not even difficult if you know what you're doing (and we assume our characters do know what they are doing since they can administer them to others). Also, aren't there many places where you could hang the bag? I mean, I believe I've seen hat racks, and even hospital beds in this game (not to mention trees)... I really hope the devs include some way to self-blood bag, even if it's a little complicated.

Inside Buldings (Houses & Apartments)
Rigor Mortis (DayZ) replied to bhcluster's topic in Suggestions
We can only hope that these are the intentions of the devs. -
Congrats for posting the 50th thread on the 'start with different stuff' topic... I think you get a prize. I agree (again) so long as the items are of equal value for all configurations.
-
I guess I'm not completely against the idea, I just see it creating more problems than I think it would be worth. If they do put them in, I really hope they make it hard as hell to land them in random locations (roads, fields, etc). I'd love to see a bunch of people trying to get an aircraft running, then crash and burn on the first landing :D

Been suggested more times than I can count, and I have the same response every time: The whole concept of a zombie is that they have no rationality and no intelligence. They just have the animalistic urge to eat... by giving a player control of a zed you would be going against the most basic principle of zombies. No, thankyou.

I think people should be allowed to climb trees, but I believe this has been suggested. Character Climbing Hunting tree chairs/saddles, lets change the dynamics! Search Results on Google

New player skin: Sassy Black woman
Rigor Mortis (DayZ) replied to stielhandgranate's topic in Suggestions
If you bothered to read my post, then you would see that I didn't suggest this topic be locked, I merely commented on the fact that it has not yet been locked. Also, for future reference "an" precedes "interracial." If you are in an interracial marriage then you might find that useful. -
I agree that my exaggeration of 20 seconds is crazy, but it's still ridiculous to have winged aircraft designed to travel hundreds if not thousands of miles in an area of only 225 km^2, or 15 km on each side. So, what do you do when you reach the edge of the world in your 100+mph travelling airborne vehicle?

While a good translation, by jamming it all into a single paragraph you made it harder to read IMO. Could you add some spacing and maybe color? -

Options to identify a body (Hide playername when checking pulse on Hardcore)
Rigor Mortis (DayZ) replied to kll4's topic in Suggestions
I've got the perfect idea for this: If you check someone's pulse it says "This person looks like a 'name here'." UNLESS the person is wearing a mask, in which case 'name here' gets replaced with 'masked man/woman'. This will add a reason to wear different types of masks. You would also need an option to remove the mask though if you wanted to discover the person's name. This makes sense b/c you obviously can't recognize ppl in game by their face, so you have to use a name instead of a face. -

I'm surprised this shit isn't locked. Boneboys is usually all over the sexist stuff, and I know none of the admins like racist posts... and this kind of borders on both lol. -
No joke - I've known people who dumped stupid amounts of money into triple SLI setups that just barely beat my single 560Ti in frame rates in every game we play. If you spend over $300 on video cards then I feel sorry for you. A few frames per second aren't worth the price of a small car....

Rigor Mortis (DayZ) replied to Shrub Rocketeer ™'s topic in Suggestions
Bad English, but I like the idea of folding paper into paper airplanes... it would entertain me to see someone throwing these off the roof of some building :D Edit: It would also be awesome to use them to see the current wind direction/strength and to show off the phenomenal physics engine we all hope that they are making for this game. -
A C-130... for real? That thing would leave the map space in like 20 seconds.... How about zero winged aircraft.

Options to identify a body (Hide playername when checking pulse on Hardcore)
Rigor Mortis (DayZ) replied to kll4's topic in Suggestions
I very seriously doubt this... one big reason is that people will leave their stuff on default specifically to blend in with others - the other is that they don't seem to have any desire to make a customization system - Dean referenced it directly in the roadmap video and basically said it wasn't a priority. If they do include customization, i'll bet it will be skin/eye/hair color and a couple of custom faces. I wish you were right, and I wish they would make a system where everyone _spawns_ as a random looking person so you look different every time and you can't control it... but that will probably never happen. -
Human versus human/Human versus zombie combat
Rigor Mortis (DayZ) replied to bobotype3334's topic in Suggestions
Regardless of how long it will take you to die, you will do it on the ground in excruciating pain. Body shots drop targets. The problem I have is that the game lets you keep running around and doing whatever you like while you've got two bullets in your kidney. Ever been punched in the kidney? I'm sure getting shot there is much less painful.... -
Options to identify a body (Hide playername when checking pulse on Hardcore)
Rigor Mortis (DayZ) replied to kll4's topic in Suggestions
This is the best argument I've seen... to check a pulse I need to touch you -- which likely involves seeing your face. I think attaching a name to the face isn't far fetched at all for game play purposes. Even if they add custom faces, at least two people (and probably many people) will still have the default face and thus you wouldn't be able to use that to identify them... in real life you could know them 'by their face' but in the game you have to make due with knowing them by name. -
Agreed - just throwing a possible answer out there.
