On the server I am on now I don't have any problems with tents. Actually I've went up very far up north outside of general north transit areas and started building a tent city. It's a fun thing to do, but as always, don't get attached to your gear. If you do it you must accept that it MIGHT be gone in the blink of an eye.

Not kidding. If I ever heard a guy behind me telling me to drop my gun over voice I'd probably do it, just for lols. If he rummaged through my backpack and then bolted it'd be the event of the day! I've been thinking about doing the very same thing... but seriously, what do you think how many people will try to just turn around and shoot you? So, I became a wandering doctor instead.

Yes. It was manually induced though, to get rid of a bug troubling me. Other than that... blood goes down reeeally slow from hunger or thirst. You really got lots of time.

Now, I admit right at the beginning I don't have the best of connections. I can hardly run youtube videos on 320p while playing, but even rummaging around DayZdb map a bit can kick my rear right out of the game in an instant. Is the game that merciless by nature? ps. "get a better connection" is not an option.

Yeh, I have been stalking the server I got my hideout on. Nights upon nights of running spawn points. Nothing. The ONLY thing I have ever found was a small boat in another person's camp. Took me two hours to get it running just to shimmy along the coast. It's slower than people running and louder than people firing when running, plus I need to make frequent stops to the coast to refill. And then someone decided to reinstall their PC in this house, ramping the ping up high enough for me to get kicked everytime I try to rejoin. So I expect to relog when I get back tomorrow and find myself deep in water and without a boat in sight. Lucky me!

Should have mentioned that I have a shared connection. I suppose I'll just have to take it as is... It's not like I can do anything about it. <.< And what's "I'm not supposed to use the internet while playing" mean? I do that with about all other games I have. I have two monitors for a reason :I

I lost a FN FAL with night vision sight to this bug. But I do not fret. Everything can be found again if you just keep looking long enough. I'm much more angered about the guy who stalked and shot me at the airfield at night... like a black predator. Why, because he proved what bad idea it was to do that in the first place. ...also... the night vision FAL is not too hot anyway. You can't navigate with it and if you got NVG goggles you don't even need it.

I can't wait to circle around other players taking pot shots with my guns at them at fixed intervals, wondering why my rifle doesn't hit them... because it's too big!

I once had that bug where I started unconscious on every second login, so I tried to kill myself with a M67. Damn thing didn't even explode. I daresay these things are mocking us...

On the other hand it'd give chances to provide further possibilities for more player-made infrastructure in the game, should this be a goal. Why just pitch tents and light fires? collect wood, debris and the likes, build an outhouse in your camp... or just dig a hole.

Doubt they'll implement that. They didn't get that through in Dwarf Fortress and that game is much more realistic than DayZ... and much less... at the same time.

Mmmm, Imma have me a slab of salted red meat and down it with some purified murky pool water. Breakfast of survivor champions.

I do have this problem on about every second login I do. I drop down on the floor and have to wait a few minutes... I don't actually have a problem with that in the long run since I am patient enough to wait it out, but I dread the day I get kicked for high ping in a compromising position... Also: these problems started after I got killed by a hacker. So whaddayaknow... But meh. If dying solves the problem, I'll just stash my stuff and ring the dinner bell! This is gonna be so much fun!

that idea sounds crazy enough to... KILL US ALL! Or it might work. I'll check it out later

This is kinda odd. For some reason, from time to time, my humanity keeps going up and going up. I remember back when it was 2500... I did some help on a friend of mine whom I played with some time or another, but most of the time I'm playing solo.. yet, for some reason I got 4100 humanity now. The wiki says that humanity ONLY raises if you help other people, so what do I have to make of that?

Yep, I got blown away by a hacker who ran rampant and now sometimes when I login I am unconscious for a few minutes. Not too long, luckily. I dread the day I get kicked for bad ping and remain in a compromising spot...

Shrug. Then make a new one. Preferably a better concealed one.

Ah, no worries. I just find all my swag. My heart would break would I have to part with my M240. I grew very fond of it. But still, thanks :3 I was in the woods, but close to a building whose angle and distance I could estimate on the map. That way I could find it even after running there at deep dawn AND forgetting to bring road flares.

Today on DE 824, at about 19:20 GMT+1 (german time) a Hacker called "A russian" with some stuff in the name talked to me, blew me up and teleported to me as a dog to talk to me again. I take it he got quite a few people, since people have been dying on this server about every minute. I don't have any factual proof, but I suppose a quick log sweep might yield enough. Now if you excuse me, I'm gonna retrieve the irradiated remains of my former self. And hopefully my military swag.

"That wasn't particularly nice, you know?" It was the only thing I ever said to a hacker. I only died to a hacker once. Just now, actually. Said my name in chat, blew me up, teleported next to me after spawning as a dog. I was rather chemically elevated at the very time and was not in a mood to rage. Plus I got s**t stashed in another place on another server, so nothing of value has been lost. Except for my M240. I will miss that gun On that note: how long do corpses stay? I say, I do want to get my swag back. Plus, I got a pretty good idea where I should have died. Also, any advice on what to do?

Mine disappeared too. But it appeared about a day later. I'd check the location again eventually

Aw man. I found a really nice hidey spot for my tent and loaded it up with nice things I've found... the worst thing: It was still there when I logged off a few hours ago but now it is entirely gone. I have little hope for it and it's contents to show up when the server is restarted again Hand to mouth it is then.

See, I've been on a newbie run yesterday night. I salvaged my previous situation and had a run through Cherno and Kozlovka. But I've been reading up about the loot spawns in the place and one of these spawns was labeled "high level" farm, which sounded kinda juicy. Thought I might find a nice weapon. What I DIDN'T expect to find was a L85A2 AWS. It was empty and in a legit loot spawn, a mirrored spawn from the other side of the building. But that doesn't change that it's in fact a L85A2... in a barn. Is there a way of determining whether or not it might have been a legal spawn?

Yes, that's what made it suspicious to me. But I decided to keep it. I was able to free the space in my backpack, so why not. It's not like I can do much with it anyway... Plus, in cities, this composite crossbow is working like a charm already.
