Rocket is neither lying, nor failing. You want a half ass built game, to drop a full price tag down on, plenty out there to do so on. Rocket and his team spend a considerable amount of time on this project. Unless you paid on a kickstarter, Rocket owes you nothing, and vice versa, you owe him nothing. Continuing to put down the SA, is getting as old as these threads. Especially from people like you, who only know what they read on the dev logs. Usually it goes like this. The front end, hence, you as the users, gamers, whatever you want to call yourself, is what rocket will show you. Thats the point of the FRONT END, is what you as the players see. You think alot of players care to see the back end of games? (Some of you interesting geeks out there do I am sure.) The point is, you only know what you see. Standalone is coming, until then, support Rocket and his teams.
