You could just find an empty server or a low populated one and lone wolf it, I did that and came out alive with a DMR, NVGs, a G17 and a bunch of ammo...

Honestly, I know it isn't my card or my graphics drivers, how long has this glitch been going on for, literally any server I join, whenever I reach a built up area I can't see shit but black triangles and white screens, it's making this amazing mod almost unplayable for me, sure I've tried the 'fixes' but they don't work, the only one that makes a difference is actually exiting the game and reconnecting, however, due to the long load times for dayz, that becomes very irritable, especially when my buddies were getting ready to storm a village or town. Have any details been shown to state that this game-breaking glitch will be fixed?

Hi, I just thought I would share this epic tale of what happened to me about an hour ago. Okay, so I'd been playing dayz all day after getting it to work, I played mostly on the coast, familiarising myself with the controls, zombie and survivor behaviours etc. Anyway, earlier I decided to venture inland after scavenging a g17 and akm from the western airfield, I crossed the airfield and headed into the tree line behind, I travelled in a northerly direction for about 10 mins when I saw an un-natural boxy shape in the middle of a field, I got closer and realised it was an atv. I got excited but suspicious as I walked close to get on it. however just as I was about to get on I was jumped on by two bandits, one in a gillie suit with a sniper, the other with camo and an m4, "don't you fockin dare mate, get on the floor now" I panicked as I first raised a pathetic salute and went prone, they both stood at either side, guns at my head, first angry down the mic, then understanding of my noobish prescience and offered me blood and food which I denied, I kept thinking, god, death, again awesome, but as the ghillie stood up from bandaging me, he fell straight back down again, blood spurting from his dome piece, another shot rang out, landing at the second bandits foot, I grabbed the chance and ran the fuck away from the area, I looked back to see the second guy taking cover and yelling to me " you sneaky cunt, I knew you werent alone!", the truth was, I was completely alone, I heard more sniper cracks ring out behind me as I sprinted for the trees, then I saw the second bandits name pop up dead. I thanked my guardian angel through chat, to which I got no reply, and carried on my escape, however suddenly I magically held an as50 rifle and a fully loaded m1911 as well as a new Alice backpack and plenty of food and drink, I also now had a gps, rangefinder and nvg's, I realised I was saved by a hacker/scripter, I thought, what now? I'm currently on the way to the nw airfield and it goes to show that some people in dayz are kind and will help people, even if they are hackers, I am great full to whomever saved me :) However now I have the wrongly obtained kit to deal with, I've heard that carrying and using hackers equipment can get you banned, is this true? If so, do/should I kill myself to rid the kit? Obviously, as any player would be, I'm fairly hesitant to lose the kit, though I know I won't last forever, what should I do? Contact moderators etc? They're everywhere! Played for about 5 hours today with buddies, looted NW airfield, Cherno, Elektro, stAry sobor, NovY sobor and the western airstrip, only I finished with anything but an AK, and that was because I got to the m249 first at a heli crash site. I know it's alpha but if it is going tone a few months before the standalone, couldn't the next update include, not MORE weapon spawns, but more VARIETY, of weapon spawns, like more m4s, rifles, shotguns etc. What do you think? Could it be included before final release? Please, no arguing or hate, it's tedious and boring, constructive discussion only, :)

Okay, you think dayz is going to consoles... You think console kids (not saying they're all kids) will enjoy losing kit when they die, or running for miles to escape the coastal danger? They will see it advertised and think it like another 'left for dead' type game, when they get bored of it because they have to think about things and make decisions, they will move on and it will never take off on consoles, oc will be the main priority, also due to the complex arma 2 engine and the amount of controls needed...

To be fair, I know there's controversy about warz copying ideas etc, but don't forget,warz was in development way before dayz was even known, I'm looking forward to both the dayz standalone AND warz, competition is healthy, Rocket said so himself.

I like the permadeath and loss of all kit when this occurs, but I'm going to defend my well earned night vision goggles and m249 to my last breath, and take the enemy Down with me. Why, only just today, me and two buddies set up a rendezvous at a pond to refill our canteens, suddenly we came under heavy sniper and machine gun fire, my group returned fire and split up, as I was ghillied up, I was given the task of the flank, we eventually hunted the bandits down and lined them up against a wall, blew away their kneecaps and left them for dead. Throughout that scenario, my heart was thumping and I was fucking nervou. THAT'S the dayz feeling and the satisfaction I got from their curses down the mic can never be beaten. I simply don't understand why people wouldn't want that. We weren't actively looking for a fight, and neither were the other guys we found out after a Skype call afterwards to congratulate each other, it was thoroughly enjoyable and my second best experience in dayz so far, playing the game? PLAY THE GAME THEN... In other words... What he said :3

I'm a 3rd person player, mostly because third person gives me better special awareness and It goes to first person when aiming anyway

Errr, to solve being killed in Elektro and Cherno.... Don't go there... Go inland when you spawn, less populated and better gear

Found a Ghillie suit yesterday and also an Alice pack, however the Alice pack wasn't retrievable, I couldn't pick it up, I found another in the next room, couldn't use that one either, so as a Ghillie, you can't have anything more than the coyote patrol pack? Because earlier I picked up an m249 at a heli crash site and the ammo belts are taking up a lot of room.

Dammnit, I'm at NW airfield and I can't remember where they were -.-

So me and a buddy were crossing land by the NW airfield and I got excited as I saw a heli crash site, which I know can be a pain to find and usually contain good kit. We killed the surrounding zombies but when we approached the heli, we couldn't select gear or anything, tried all the way around it to no avail. I passed it of as a glitch and carried on, however, literally a minute later I spot a SECOND crash sit about 200 metres away from the first, weird, however this couldn't be looted either. .????? Glitch?

i'm running a gtx 570, 8gb ram and an AMD fx-6200 @ 3.8GHZ, my game was running like a charm last night, but when i connected to a bunch of servers today im getting like 15fps at the highest, my settings were at all high, which is perfectly acceptable for my GPU and CPU, what's going on?
