I dont think when firing a single shot with an M4 you will only hit your target with lets say a chance of 20/1. Edit: on 50m ofc

I doubt multiple characters will make it into the game plus I dont support it. Could be abused and kind of destroy the spirit of DayZ (if its not dead already..)

You hold a freakin town dude. You have one of the best adventures you can have in a videogame. Try do think outside of any gains or benefits, just think about having fun and doing something not everyone can do. I hate this attitude where you cant just have fun but there allways has to be something you win. Friendship, fun and love mate. Thats what keeps the world alive! :D

Things like this totaly works right now (well exept the defense builds and stuff). You just need to go to a town, shoot the zombies down and keep an eye on the main entrances. If you want a shop in your town drop some items on the ground, place some of your friends as guards and trade stuff with other players. Of course right now there are not the possibilities to fortify a town or something, but I can see stuff like that to be possible in the future. But things I dont want to see and I'm pretty sure the devs wont do are: scripted shops, NPC guards, player spawns in this towns, everything else that is scrips related (like grabing a flag to get control of the city) Edit: I want to add that people have to keep in mind that DayZ should be your story. The things that happen in DayZ are not scripted like a CoD campaign and thats what makes them so awesome. Controling a whole town without any scripted stuff is what makes it just an epic adventure and Ive seen this kind of things back in the DayZ Mod. Some sandbags and barbed wire, couple of snipers around the town, guards inside. A selfmade shop and even 2 taxis driving though the town. Yes, I experienced all that in DayZ and even if it sometimes ends in a dilemma or because some of your friends have to go to bed... trust me you gonna remember that for a looong time and you gonna even be proud of yourself.

I just tried to tell you that just because something would happen in real life it doesent mean you can put it into your viedogame. Some psyco running around and killing people in a horrible way, we already had that in history. But after all Manhunt is illegal in quite many countries.

Ive seen almost full servers and when I joined them it was pitch black. So there have to be enough people who like nighttime that you dont have to play on an almost empty server to play at night. Therefore.. I dont see any problem with that?

I can imagine the devs already had something like this in their mind, and I totaly support it because it would simply look cool. But what I also realy want to see is the backpack thing. In the Mod you had to stop to access your gear at all. I like that you can check your stuff when you are walking but it should be limited to tops, pants and vests. Backpacks should, as you suggested, force you to stop to access it.

I could imagine some people would also rape defensless survivors in the apocalypse (happens even without the apoc) but I doubt that rape will make it into the game.

The thing with underground structures is that you cant make something like a cave and cover it with terrain. Thats because the terrain knows only 1 value of y-axis. You would need to cover it with an object instead: You could do small caves like that, but everything thats bigger doesent work very well because of collision, performance, map design and so on. What I know about this might not be 100% right, Im not a professional. The only thing I can imagine are underground structures you are teleported to, like when you jump into a sewer entrance you get teleported to the sewer system below the city. Or you could delete the collision for parts of the terrain and maybe make it invisible so you could enter structures beneath the normal terrain.

You should lose a decent amount of accuracy when using this technique but I support the idea of having both, a gun and a lightsource, at a time because switching tools in a tricky situation takes simply too much time. -
Are you sure? I know there were some debates about that topic and as far as I remember they refused to put it into the game because it would make it too bestial. DayZ is a real game now, not just a mod. A game with cannibalism in it would cause sensation, and not in a positive way...

Zip tie cuffs should realy make it into the game. I hoped the handcuffs in the game would be this zip tie cuffs, because the key-thing is kinda stupid to me...

Im pretty sure a remake of the whole map for all 4 seasons wont happen. Only thing that seems possible to me is something like more rain in autumn, very cold in winter, warm but also rainy in spring, warm and dry in summer. Maybe some change in screencolour and light could also create some ambiance. Low satiation and a blue touch in winter, bright colours and a orange touch in summer, stuff like that.

Just a comment on the debug monitor: DayZ is not supposed to be CoD where you should show others how many kills you got. If you kill people it should happen because you defend yourself or you want their loot. This "show other people how random you kill people" is one of the reasons why its removed. -

Even if its not for realism : Then atleast for gameplay reasons. You "shrink" your body for about half of its size, so obviously you should also move slower. -

Id like to see some more information too. I want to see if im regenerating energy or health or whatever, the health system is so confusing now but there is no information about how your character feels. All you see is "sick" "hungry" or "thirsty" with a variation of 3 colours. I know that Dean doesent want too much interface, but right now you cant connect yourself with your DayZ character so you feel what he/she feels. In 40 years this might be possible, but right now we'll have to deal with icons and interface. -
Sorry if I sound mean now but ffs, please use the search function or just do some research before you post suggestions. Exactly this has been suggested for the 100 time now and the devs know about the problem and will deal with it soon. Also a system like this was in the DayZ Mod so its nothing new.

So I guess what he is talking about is that people shouldnt be able to run as fast as they do right now. Especially when players run for a long time their legs should hurt and they would have to take a break or slow down. Like dis: (thanks I know Im very talented)

Maybe you could add some water-collection-thingy to your base when all this stuff makes it into the game. You should be able to dig a well so you can get water at your base 24/7 but as digging a well isnt that easy you could build a small rain collector which needs some time to fill up. Like a low-tier well. :P
