No I mean like for an extended period of time like 2 weeks ingame if you had sometype of blockage which could be added as sometype of condition, where you have to puke up your brown ooy gooy deliciousness or reach right up there in the ole' poopshute and pull out that baby.

One of my biggest problems with DayZ is the First Person View, and it's probably why so many people play mostly in 3rd person. First of all the field of view in arma is weird, I'm not sure how you would define it but it's like your guy's head is moved forward right beside and above the gun. Probably the most complained about reason is the bobbing while running around which is quite annoying, And the majority of guns look really bad like they're just tubes besides a couple guns that look decent. If the Devs were to make the first person more realistic where you can see your arms while making the guns look good I think it would make the game a lot more appealing along with making the heading bobbing less ridiculous while running, with an exception of sprinting. Another quick thing with the guns they need more scary/powerful sounding shots right now they sound like airsoft guns.

Today while walking around in berezino with my cz550 I was just thinking to myself I'd like to kill some zombies but the gunshot would be too loud and I didn't have much ammo, I also didnt have a hatchet with pretty much no choice but to run around like a retard speed looting. This idea is mostly for SA and probably been suggested beforebut basically being able to pistol whip zombies/players or with the butt of your gun stunning/having a chance of knocking out a player. Then instead of always KOS you could sneak up on someone hit them on the head take their stuff and get away. Also a useful action could be simply kicking away zombies kinda like in dead island or even chivalry medieval warfare how you could push zombies away into maybe traps with environmental ways of dieing say off a building or into some broken rails.

I think it could be a good implemantation just cutting open some zombies and covering yourself in their entrails maybe disguising yourself from zombies for a short amount of time or just to dick around scaring people while all bloodied up

Another idea branching off from my old "needed scare factor post" The Wendigo is a urban legend here in canada, I'm not to sure of it but it's a very tall monster that roams the woods of multiple provinces fucking people and shit up, and the land type is if not identical very similar to chernarus so I think it would fit pretty well. The Wendigo will hunt the people still alive in chernarus usually the ones going deeper in the woods and potentially more armed just to even out the battlefield a little bit. You can hear howl's sounds like a big wolf, maybe it's not a wolf, what if it's something else. You hear branches and bushes crackling. You look around see nothing. Then you spot the silhouette of something large in the distance. Just as soon as you spot it it disappears and now you don't feel so comfy in your little camp. You hear a howl again and this time it's almost as if it's right behind you. You suddenly hear a gallop through the forest breaking branches. You look over to see your buddy Fred. He's not there. You hear the shriek of what sounds like Fred. Then a sound like a wet cloth ripping apart and splattering all over, and then a thud. You pull out your flashlight look around you see he Fred on the ground, shit he doesn't look like Fed much anymore hear another howl then you see it and it charges towards you while you molest the trigger of your gun blindly shooting at fuck all hoping to save your scared shitless behind. You feel a large thud against your chest and get knocked the fuck over. You become unconscious, then wake up a few minutes later, theres blood all over and you only have minor fleshwounds. The forest seems silent and the presence of the creature seems to be gone. Something like this would make the DayZ Standalone brilliant, you should never feel safe in the world of dayz, anything would do for something like this,not necessary the Wendigo maybe anything else infected bear or a super strain of the disease that mutated in one/few zombies, a batshit hermit zombie that got a hold of cocaine and steroids, anything that seems creepyish and you never really can get a good look at. Maybe it only attacks at night or it only purpose is to torment you and scare the fuck out of you not killing you. Still seeing it in the distance during the day while deep in the woods. A black figure on the hill in the distance. Maybe it doesn't like large spotlights if you set them up during the night in your base. After reading a couple very vague ideas of being able to play as a zombie I thought well, in a way it could help with constant player killing problem. First of all zombies are annoying, not scary, and fairly easy to overcome. Why not have it so after a certain amount of player kills in cold blood or something like that, when you die, or get infected from a zombie you become a more so faster stalking zombie when you spawn again. Then potentially people could achieve that "player killing" craving with an even funner way then camping on a hill sniping gaining anticlimatic kills. And to prevent people from just killing to become a zombie maybe an option to spawn as a zombie before creating a character with maybe none or sometype of requirement. Then you could fix that missing feeling of fear when walking through a forest in the middle of nowhere and feeling safe from zombies. Option 2: Every player kill determines what level of zombie you become after death so, if you dont kill anyone and die you are a more powerful zombie. With each player kill it degrades what type of zombie you become after death so if you have many player kills you could be a crawler with out any legs. Also it could depend on what your health was at and body damage was when you died. Just a thought that could probably being expanded into something more organized and useful.

I think the thermal scope needs to be removed atleast. Nightvision should have to use batteries and have a limited range of sight making it more fair instead of seeing everything bright as daytime. Otherwise what's the point of having chemlights or flares in the game when you're worried about people running around with nightvision taking you out. Although people can still find you if you go around using chemlights and flares. Just seems like the game would be more atmospheric or it would add to the survival-ishness without being able to see at night like it most likely would be in real life.

The noob days when you started playing dayZ there was this unknown and scary/creepy feeling when you were running around in Cherno or Elektro being chased and killed by zombies during the near pitch black night. Now when you play the game theres next to nothing scary or barely an atmosphere surrounding the game mostly worrying about getting shot by other players and zombies just flying through walls and irritating you. I found this video a while ago and I really wish dayZ could obtain this type of terrifying and helpless atmosphere just like in this video. This is also Arma 2 just on an older custom mission. Skip to 1:08 if you're impatient.

Yea I really want something to be added that's more powerful than you and you feel really helpless and terrified when you're up against it. Something like an infected bear or zombified saskwatch could do the trick!
