@Mike on US 2135 Dallas... The beast of Cherno.

Ah don't worry my friend. By "acquired" I meant we located and killed enough snipers provide each of us a formidable gun. We usually play with 3-4 people so if one of us dies we can either kill the aggressor or at the very least make sure we secure the weapon before leaving. I myself am rocking the M24. Our crew was actually almost wiped out completely by a hacker yesterday. Luckily he seemed to be more interested in murdering us than actually looting anything. I'm always up for a fair fight in Cherno, in fact, I relish them. Which is why I was so damn impressed by Mike. However, being murdered by an invisible god is frustrating and I would never take part.

Nope, buildings will just fall before his might.

Don't worry my friend, it will happen. This game is built for unscripted, organic situations to unfold. I think people just need to understand that they are going to die. No matter how carefully you play. No matter what precautions you take. You will inevitably die. The PK'ers, hackers. ect are just pieces in the grand story. Hell, we were those guys that everyone hates last night. But Mike just said fuck it. I'm the god damned Cherno honey badger and I will cleanse this land. Hopefully even in death he enjoyed himself. I know for a fact he was fucking ELATED when he told our spy that killed the two snipers in the tower.

Haha Thunderpimp, I remember your name. I'm glad to see you all got some retribution. It was a fun night.
  5. Mike, I can only hope that somehow you see this message. A few minutes ago you executed one of the most badass trojan horse maneuvers I have ever witnessed. And even though our greater numbers prevailed, the magnitude of your bravery should be a story retold until the end of time. Mike... man, myth, legend. The story goes... My friends and I "acquired" a few sniper rifles in Cherno. We posted up on a few of the tallest buildings in town and went to work. Eventually counter sniping enough survivors until we could basically run the town. The four of us were decked out with snipers, range finders, infrared scopes, ect. We even had another friend with us for the grisly task of "ground ops and recovery". Every angle was covered, all of the ranges determined. We killed bandits, survivors, pretty much anything that moved. Yes we were "those guys" but we were fucking thriving in this world of shit. Unfortunately, one of our newer to the game members miscalculated and plummeted to his death. We laughed, looted his rifle and essentials, and waited for his eventual return. This is where Mike starts his epic tale. On his run back from a shitty Kamenka spawn our guy ran into him and a couple others. Apparently our exploits had become known on this server. And a group was forming to fight back. This band of brothers could always use another member. And that members name... was Sean. Sean liked Mike. He must have sensed his badassery without realizing the danger it entailed. Yes Mike, if you are reading this, he was with us. We used him as a secret agent in order to infiltrate your group of survivors. Our plan was to have him instill a sense of comradery into your meager gang. Hopefully festering an unrelenting need for revenge. You guys would load up on supplies, guns, and ammo and take us the fuck down. However, we had different plans. Once our sleeper agent lured you into our trap, we would simply slaughter you and reap the sweet life sustaining rewards. Fast forward a bit. Our guy was assaulted by what we affectionately call the "flying triangles" graphical bug and was seperated from Mikes group. He stumbled into Cherno a few minutes before the rag tag crew. We waited anxiously. Once we spotted them sneaking along the woodline, chaos erupted. Sniper shots rang out as the death toll mounted. Sean tried to keep tabs on all of them but the carnage was disorienting. After dispatching 3 or 4 of them we thought the battle was won. Oh how wrong we were. I can only imagine how Mike must have felt, watching his allies be carved up one by one. The cards were down for Mike. He could have tapped out and alt F4'd himself right the fuck outta Cherno. But no... not Mike. He fucking dug deep, and said I WILL LIVE THIS DAY. I wonder how agonizing it must have been. Creeping about, faced with superior numbers and firepower; always feeling like death was only moments away. We are not sure how he did it, but Mike managed to elude 4 snipers and position himself for sweet revenge. The shot rang out. It was a miss. However the psychological effect was a direct hit. Vent was a mess. DID YOU FIRE?!?!?. NO. DID YOU FIRE?!??! NOPE WHERE DID THAT COME FROM. OH GOD I DON'T KNOW. We were in shambles. Our confidence shattered by one man. We searched in vain for our aggressor to no avail. Another shot rang out, and my roof partner was dead before I could react. I panicked and ran to him to trying and loot his gun. and other essentials. Another shot rang out. I was hit, but not dead. I stumbled back to temporary safety and lay down. I was bleeding bad and didn't have much time. FUCK... no bandages. I desperately called for cover fire and ran over to loot bandages from my dead friend to save my own life. I snatched the bandages and took cover. This is where Mike makes his one fatal miscalculation. Thinking the threat eliminated he called out for Sean. SEAN! I killed the two snipers on the roof we are safe. Sean responded telling him to come up to the building the other two snipers were sitting on. Little did Mike know that would be the last ladder he would ever climb. It was his stairway to heaven so to speak. Mike, just know that you have earned our respect. You are a true survivor.
