Lol.. are you serious? :D i tought it was the usual moaning about how "noob" it is the AS50 so ppl would go for a 107 or even a DMR/M24 .... but i see you really tought the M107 was better. - AS50 can use both the M107 mags and its own (NATO) mag to destroy the vehicles as well; - AS50 is a semi-auto sniper rifle, while the M107 is a bolt action rifle, you can use the AS50 even in closed combat, while with the M107 you may get in trouble due to the slower recharge if you miss the first shot; - AS50 has basically no recoil.. you can shot at the target like a noob until you hit it even without taking care of the aim and zeroing (assuming you don't care about the wasting ammo); - AS50 can be zeroed to 1600m, whenever the usage distance in dayz can't (usually) go over 1200m; - AS50 has a powerful zoom than the M107 (use the "+/-" numpad keys to change the modes); - AS50 is much quiter than the M107 (for players, not zeds). There's so many reason to prefer the AS50 that this question shouldn't even exists. The AS50 is damn OP, that's why ppl have asked many times to be removed from the mod.

In height you mean ? Simply you can't ... at least not directly operating with the embed editor. So, place em always on the ground. It's out of control by simply using the Bliss custom_building table, to change the eight you need to edit the model (basically redone it changing the centering), or you have to control the spawn via mission file (as dmustanger suggested) .. but that's different than just converting the biedi to the Bliss format. When you start to add very elaborated buildings structures, the best way is to abandon the Bliss custom_building thing but using custom mission files. -

Exact, there's a way to have elevated buildings, but they must be designed already with that offset in the model (you may notice it dropping the bridges, or those big towers made by 3 pieces one on the top of the other etc...). -

Because the position of the X,Y,Z coords are different (the Z coord is swapped). It's normal. -

Dart doesn't have the ability to export and import the bans, that's why i'm asking ersan to add this feature. It's damn important coz i find my banlist "reset" for no reason (probably due to the map updates) time to time. -

Please ersan we need the ability to download and upload the bans.txt file.. mine got reset again after the update, i tried to upload mine via Gotcha (bugged) and it's a mess now. Please add the manual download/upload via UI (if you can't give us the FTP access). -

It should let you think: the most used (most players h24 on it) Namalsk server doesn't have EVR neither Bloodsuckers... you may say: that's because most of the DayZ players are casual player; i say the opposite: most of DayZ players wants to play DayZ not something else. Apart that Namalsk is a great map, but to be played in the traditional way...

Accusing another host (im not talking about, but about your supposed customer) of being "bad" (while it's universally recognized as one of the best dayz managed hosting) to promote someone else (i won't criticize your hosting, it may be good but i never heard about it) is the worst strategy you may ever think to adopt. If i was you, i would kick him out.. but considering that his server is down, he is (probably) already (i've checked the IP and it belongs to one of your ISP). Byez. -

Are you aware that this childish noobs lame spamming is going to damage that hosting instead? If i would ever thinking of hosting my server on a new random host like that, now i would totally change my mind coz an idiot (you) spammed it into another host (actually DayZ.st) thread. :) (but the most fun part is that your server signature.. i guess it's hosted there.. shows it as: OFFLINE !! Good start.. lol) -

Can we have a function to export and import the bans please? (bans.txt). Actually i'm going it with gotcha.. but it's very very buggy, and i don't like the idea of load it just for this function. I save my ban list almost any day because sometime it gets reset, and you may loose tenth if not hundred of well known cheaters that you banned in the past.. while when you have a backup a reload is enough to fix the problem. -

I was blaming CBL in the past.. and we see the expected result; as now i do the same: this isn't going to work, because one kid is enough to destroy all the good whillings. A distributed banlist cannot be handled by the users, it must be handled by a "superior" entity, and that list already exists.. it's called BattleEye, but unfortunately BE isn't good enough to caught cheaters, the only solution would be to "fix" it (or to be exact to fix Arma2), but that's not going to happens. The only pratical solution atm is to handle your own bans on your own server. Point. -

You should change the title to the "Best managed host" (a host that install dayz stuff and do maintenance for you), others have already gave you the answer: DayZ.st It doesn't mean that's the "best" solution: if you have time, skill, and much more money to spend, you could host your dedicate server .. and that's technically the "best" solution you could have, does it worth the cost and time? Oh nope.. unless you plan to have something bigger than just a private amateur server. -

Wine is not an (OS) emulator by definition, but in the end it adopts a layer to emulate (or to be exact to iterpret) the windows library (calls). Nor that it is any different for the end user: we're looking for a native solution or it would be a waste of resource: the purpose of this is to save the server costs eventually, it's not an academic experiment. -
Not sure what you mean.. the white list (as the name suggests) is the list of allowed GUIDs, so the admin(s) can decide who to join or don't. It doesn't mean you prevent cheaters from joining your server, it only means that you will allow ppl that YOU (the admin) believe aren't cheaters. Unfortunately in my experience i learned that many of "most respected" players can cheat like anyone else, but usually they are smart enough (there you have the term "smart cheater") to not being caught, at least not easily. So on a whitelist server you can have even ppl mass-teleporting, without you can figure who is the guilty user (a bypass is used to hide any trace of the script execution, that's why i've mentioned it). But (luckily) most of those "smart cheaters" doesn't do obvious hacks: they doesn't kill anyone, neither they teleports.. they just use ESP, wallhack, autoaim, partial god mode (reduced damage) .. so they look like legit good players, while in fact they are cheaters. Sometime they are even worse than the dumb cheaters because you rarely have a prove of them cheating.. and so they can be even more frustrating than the 12yo kids. To resume: whitelisted server doesn't mean having a free-cheaters experience, it only means having a closed community (and this is already changing the traditional DayZ experience) with not "obvious" cheaters (limite mass kills etc.).. but the cheaters are there as well. ;)

Facts: 1) There's no working anticheat, neither official (BE) nor private (Gotcha/Antihax.. whatever); 2) There's many public cheats available, and because of this the current number of cheaters are around 13% of active player (that was calculated in Nov by me); You have two option to try to play with less trouble: find a server with active/good admins, or play on a whitelisted server. Neither of those will give you a free-cheaters experience. On a public servers you will have mass-kills time to time for obvious reasons (the cheater eventually may be identified after the cheat happened, but this won't happens in any case), but on the other side you have more like a true dayz experience, because you can play with unknown and random survivors. On a whitelisted server you wouldn't have much mass-kill (coz most of them would be banned; but some remains, since if you use a bypass and you really know what you're doing you can mass-kill or teleport ppl without giving ANY chance for the admin to find you), but on the other side you'll be stuck to play always with the same ppl, and gives you a different experience after a while (i find it someway boring), and there still "smart" cheaters (as i call them) there, they are those ones that won't remote kill you, or spawn stuff, or teleports, but they uses an ESP: they passively cheats with "radars" (call em wallhack..) having an huge advantage over you, without you knowing they are cheating. Conclusion: there's NO WAY to have a cheater-free experience in DayZ, as it is probably one of the most "hacked" FPS (due to its engine nature) these times. Live with it, atm there's no solution. Nor that i expect the standalone to be free of cheaters (you still have ESP, autoaim, wallhack, ecc.; probably only the script-based cheats will be eliminated/reduced).

You're hosting it on windows (on an emulator), you're not hosting it on linux. It's like saying, i host Arma2 on my monitor.. nope, i'm hosting it on my PC where the monitor is connected. What we're looking for (and it will never happens.. nor for Arma2 at least) is a hive PORTING to be run natively on linux. -

I know Bliss is out of date, that's why i'm asking if it's gonna change soon or not.. if they doesn't support the new maps we may think to a different solution (Dayz.st solution) or DayZ.st should list Namalsk map as not fully supported anymore.. so ppl we'll be aware of it. -
Posted this in Dayz.st thread as well: Last Bliss instance is more than a month old.. is it still supported? Namalsk is doing bad, i've insted time to customize it, and to build a userbase over it... but .. kill messages are not working, server messages are not working, i can't customize the gear spawn, the custom buildings are not working.. dunno if it's time to switch to another map or what, if it won't be supported (by Bliss) anymore it would be better to tell us now, instead of let us hoping "one day...". ===== Honestly, withot having the control of weapons and building it just doesn't fit my server anymore, but before deciding to switch to another "proper" DayZ map and basically fuck all my user-base, i would like to know if there's a talking ongoing with Bliss or what...

Coz i do other stuff.. i can do everything myself, i may need like thousand hours per day, that's why we live in a society. I guess you dunno how the "life works".. it's not about skill, but about time. I could do it, but im not interested to do it, coz doing map for dayz isn't my hobby.. not atm at least. That's basically confirmed what i said.. too many kids around here. /ignored
