    I'm gonna stop anyway or i'll get banned for being OT. But before leaving, you must know that everytime i'll read your nick i'll think about a kitchen joke. Status: I am going to slowly inch myself towards your stove, and then cook your delicious eggs with beacon. After, I shall take the dishes to wash, and leave the lunch rest to those adorable, hairy dogs.

    I played for a week as Survivor, without shooting to a single other player (including bandits). From when the bandit skin has been removed i had to kill four people within 2 hour of gameplay... because anyone is shooting at anyone, and you're forced to do so. Now i'm doing exactly what the others are doing: i teamed with a community ("outside" of the game, since in-game you don't have any community "tool"), we have our TS, and we started to kill EVERYONE on sight. Most of the time we don't even go to check their equipment, since our is good enough, we only kill em because the gameplay is changed into a traditional FPS with a bigger map. Finding food and water is a joke, it's everywhere, it's only a boring affair; avoid or kill zombies is another joke, and again it's boring because you can crawl and go where you need to go (frustrating more than scary/fun); so what you do? Easy: you "upgrade" your weapon like any other game and you start to shoot other players, more kills you do more skilled you are.. if you die, no problem: after 2 hours you have your gear back. They have nullified the biggest and most interesting part of this game: the interaction with the other players. Yes you still see some ppl asking to team up in chat.. lol, most of them are newbie, after max 1 hour of playing they'll be "Bandits" like anyone else, since it's the only way to play right now. Is this good or fun? Nope.. first or late we'll be bored of doing this, there's nothing to evolve into.

    I talked about the 24 hours respawn, because (at least, that's MY idea), the most important factor that differentiate a videogame from the real life, it's your (single) life. You have to account this when you try to replicate the real life social behavior. We cannot imagine to give to each player ONE single life... for obvious reasons, but we need to add that "scaring" component someway. Loosing your loot is not enough, first because you can find most of it fast enough, second because you respawn already with the necessary tools to engage a death-match (pretty like a traditional FPS). The map is big, but not big enough to disincentivate the multiple spawns: you only need few minutes to reach one of the biggest cities, so you wouldn't be scared (read: bored) of doing it many times per day. Some idea: - Spawn without a weapon. The downside is that we might then have spawnkiller trolls, since the newbie cannot defend himself. But that's what would happens in real life tho. - Respawn only after 24 hours. With a grace period for the newbies: in example your first day you have infinite respawn, but then you need to wait 24 hours when you die. - Incentivate the surviving. Giving a benefit to those that lives for longer. In exampler a steady aiming (due to the experience, for each day passed inworld), more blood, more resistant to the low temperature, you can run faster for longer you remain alive (training) .. i dunno stuff like this that would give to the player with some more brain a GOOD reason to stay alive. ....tbc...

    We need a 24 hours respawn: if you die you need to wait one whole day for another "life". It still so much far than having a single life (like in RL), but it would probably makes the situation better. First of all those CoD kids will go away.. because it's not the bandits that are ruining the game, it's about those brainless die-respawn-die-respawn chaps that are making it totally unrealistic.

    Right now everyone is killing anyone.. it's even worse than before. :( The only plrs you see walking together are those ones belongs to the same clan.. or that are already friends outside of the game. I feel like playing a single player game.. there's no way to approach another player, neither you can be on alert: if you engage a fire fight you risk to die because of poor netcode, lag, whatever. Maybe they're right.. next time i'll die, i'll enjoy those ppl fighting with the marakovs in cherno, respawning every 10 minutes.. maybe that's the right way to play.

    Talking about the ping/lag issue, i'm fine with any modern FPS (ie: BF3), so i don't pretend any definitive solution, but just to be on pair with them. Atm we're far from those standards. I would love to fire back at someone that engages me, and i wouldn't blame (if not myself) to die if my opponent is more skilled than me, but i can't see me dying because of a poor netcode, that's not fun, there's no challenge, it's pure luck.. if i wanted a lucky game i were playing the casino arcade games. Warping zombies and unrealistic behavior too.. they'll be fixed, i hope soon... So again: until they fix the game, we can't talk about the "quitting" issue, because atm quitting is not a strategy/exploit.. it is almost a necessity, unless you're a rambo-player that likes to respawn 50 times per day.

    Disconnecting to avoid death

    Before thinking to fix this issue, you should fix the game before, and i guess it will take a while. While it is lame to disconnect to avoid to die, it's super lame to die because of a game bug. Ppl disconnects because: - Fair PvP is not possible. Lag plays an important role into this and win/loose is a lottery. Did you ever died suddendly while shooting two magazines at your opponent? Or the opposite. - Zombies with impossible speed or acceleration, zombie that passes through the walls, that can attack you behind a door or even through the floor. Ppl dies because of the game, not because of their lack of skill, so they disconnects to not end into the frustration of being killed by someone warping the map and killing you without you can do anything about it. We'll wait for those fix... then we think how to avoid those other problems.

    I think the character should stay in game H24 (even if you disconnect). If you need to sleep (in real life)...? it's your affair. Sleeping in a zombie apocalypse is dangerous. :D Do you have a job? Do you have school? A girlfriend.. whatever.. your problem. You lost everything the day the death walked the earth. This is the only pratical solution because it doesn't try to find a solution to an impossible problem (deciding if someone disconnects for a legit reason or not is only a matter of interpretation), but it eliminates completely the problem. You don't like it? You bunch of cowards. :D (don't reply we'll need alot more servers because of the characaters persistence.. lol.. it was only a provocation)

    Open the context menu.. leave it open and then move around the vehicle, you'll eventually find the right spots to repair and refill.

    Ye.. but if you're chase by tenth of them i wouldn't risk to start shooting, even having plenty of ammo and the right weapon. In open fields it is extremely hard to shot them down without being attacked, because: lag + crazy zombi path + crazy zombi acceleration. You'll loose tons of blood. It's much better to run run run (and use the "hill method") until you outrun most of them remaining with only few to shoot.

    Dying needs to have consequences

    Majority of players are playing in those coast cities doing death-matches.. so they don't care to die. I agree, there's nothing to loose atm. Instead of penalize who dies, i believe they should incentivate more to staying alive. In example more hours/days you stay alive, more strong you become. or you can run faster, or you can aim better... and stuff like this. This one of the ways to limitate the deatmatch we're having now.

    Not true. There's no permadeath.. permadeath is real life' date=' here we have infinite respawn, and with all the necessary to kill other players without much troubles (because of the realistic bullet damage). This is the MAIN problem of the game: since you can play over and over again, you do "stupidity".. or to be exact you do things that you would never do in real life. Is it bad? Maybe not, it's a game after all.. but there's certain players that may likes to play an immersive game. These players are now "forced" to play mostly alone, or with real life friends, because most of the other players are doing this death match. With the bandit skin we had a chance to recognize those players, and so when you encontered another player with a survivor skin and with NO basic gear (you may recognize the backpack.. the rifle..) you know that the guy is mostly like a "serious" player, that didn't spent the whole time doing nothing than shooting everyone, everymoment, everywhere... for no reasons. Without the bandit skin now it will be a single player game.. you just live at the north city with the oter 10% of players, while the other 90% is trolling in cherno doing rambos, respawing on the beach thousand times.. forever. Great way to ruin a such great game. As explained above, ppl not act like in RL, because they are not risking their life. They can respawn infinite times. What i have to loose if you kill me? After 5 minutes i will be there again with my makaraov.. and again.. and again.. and again... for a matter of probability you'll die first or late. Do you call this real life? No, i call this childish playing. Not that easy? From how long you don't play? There's ppl spamming in chat to arrange the "duels" in cherno... and most of the players in any damn servers are sitting there sniping.. without even trying to loot the victims, just because they know that in any FPS you need to shot the "enemy". I know i can leave cherno, and in fact i do, but at this point.. as i mentioned already.. i'll play a single player game.

    Yuppo slower, do NOT increase the number (it's not a challenge to sneak it.. but IT IS boring, so more in number won't help much), but make em dying only by head shots! This will be much cooler and realistic.

    I hope they'll never remove the bandit skins until they'll find an alternate method to avoid kid-style playing. Actually the "transformation" isn' working that bad, in fact as see in this thread, there's ppl turning into survivors doing good.

    Exact, it's not just about the skin, whenever the skin were (someway) helping to avoid those CoD style playing. But before deciding to remove them, they should deploy an alternate system to avoid to transform the game into a deathmatch. You really need one day to collect MANY weapons, almost any tool, the only rare things are the M249 and the NV... the rest is damn easy to find, especially the food. So saying: we kill ppl for food is only a stupidity, you kill ppl because this type of game doesn't fit you: you want the action, you're used to play those traditional FPS, you get bored so fast. I see ppl spawing and go intentionally into the "action" in cherno, to do some "duels", then respawn again and again and repeat it forevere. There's must be a way to incentivate the "surviving" behavior.. like increasing blood reserve for the hours spent alive, and these such things, otherwise with this infinite lifes the game will never turn into the reality (a marakov is enough for a deathmatch).

    How To: Survive the Coast

    Surely thanks for the effort into making some videos.. but those are just terrible! I didn't looked em all.. but the start made me quit it pretty fast: running for no reasons + attract intentionally the zombies + shoot at em wasting your precious ammo? Man this is not CoD .. it's because ppl of ppl watching this videos that the games is transforming into a run&gun .. like any other FPS. I know ppl have no patience at all.. but there's so many games out there where you can do that, why trolling in a game where the FPS component isn't that great?
