I agree, i own it and it's too OP because of the AWS (it's almost like cheating, especially on this map with trees everywhere). There's already the FAL with NV only so i think the better solution for the L85A2 would be to remove it completely from the weapon list.

Bump to this thread, this is the shit that is ruining this game. Not only we need to take care about users cheating, but now even about admins abusing their power + cheating. PS: can a GSG team member comes here to post an idiot excuse please? Just to have a laugh... lol. -

The zeds aren't that easy, they are just "few".. to make them real, they should be eventually slower (at least not having that crazy speed and acceleration), but they should be like 100x more in the cities, also they should be all around the map (few) including the forest, etc. But unfortunately due to the limitation of Arma2 this is NOT possible (you would need a supercomputer to handle those many NPC on the current engine) so we ended to have not-so-scary zeds that are a little OP'ed if consider them individually, but are so low in number that most of the time you have no troubles at all to kill em or to outrun and avoid them running. Do you have an idea of the horse scene (last episode of the first serie with the tank..) of the Walking Dead tv serial? ...that's now the number of zeds thats we would ideally meet in cherno... but it's just a dream. :) -

He cant' really do anything than that when he's showing in "real time": the HIVE would be DDOS'ed in no time just to ruin the show. Not the best situation to promote your product... -

Do not understimate these guys nerdish capabilities.. i've seen crazy things dones by "pro" videogamers (as they call themself) to maintain their "pro" status (like literally PAYING PEOPLE to farm for them.. and stuff like that). I would say that if someone is crazy enough to login every 6 hours to do such things, i feel so bad for him to leaves he hiding the vehicles... but i would prefer to see a definitive solution: 1 hour cleanup should discourage even the most "dedicate" exploiter (maybe?). My opinion is that you shouldn't go there at all... but i understand that there might be technical limit to prevent it, so 1h would works better (or even do not save at all the position in the DB while you're off-map is even better). -

This isn't be clear yet.. i guess the he meant: you have 24 hours *now* to move your vehicles, then they will be deleted. But after this they will be cleared cyclic at random "time".. so basically you may be able to place a vehicle off-map, but you can find it disappearing, even if pop into it every 24 hours. I hope that's the explanation or it wouldn't make sense.. as said: i can just leave my alt at the camp, and use it 1 menute per day, just to enter into any of those "parked" vehicles. -

He always do public "shows" (interview, etc.) on private/closed servers with a limited amount of trusted users, usually doing PvE. -

@devs said they cannot block em (it is a mod after all, not a cracked game), but to not ask about them here.. in other words: if you find hacker, bugs, whatever on those servers, to not come here to ask for help. -

I have a second copy, it's much less than 30 buks: you only need OA. PS: clans pays MUCH more than 30 buks.. and each month, look at those renting multiple servers. They surely wouldn't be scared to pay $15 for another OA copy (or even $150 for ten of them... while some are doing already, using alternate accounts as "offline tents"). Do not understimate clans dedication (and money "wasting"). -

Out of curiosity, i've just tried.. and there's 5 alive right now. I'm from Europe too, and i usually play on DE400 and RU99 .. both having an alternate HIVE. -
Only when we'll move to beta. While in fact today should be exactly the opposite: to test "everything" we should have access to everything, so the loot spawn should be increased to crazy levels (like any other dev would do during an alpha stage, enabling the "in game cheats" to leave the testers using all the features from the start).

Having a poor game design as a feature would be ridiculous, excuse me the frankness. Any situation that leaves your character without the user control should be avoided at ALL COSTS, never and ever your character should exists in-world when the operator cannot control it, unless it is under shock or dead. - A timeout on logout MUST have an option to abort it (i may think to be safe, then i decide to logout, but while logging out i hear a shot.. i then have to abort the logout and check the situation); - A timeout on login MUST NOT exists at all (you expose ppl to be spawnkilled, not only the server hoppers, but anyone; it would be considered a poor game design or a bug, rather than a feature!). Remember: we do not have a magic sphere to know who's really exploiting the game, and who's just quitting normally or login normally, we cannot punish anyone, introducing a stupid solution, only because there's exploiters. -

@DEV: need clarifications. The h24 thing is just for the first time (now), so you have 24h to save your stuff or you'll loose it. But then the stuff off-map will be cleared "immediately" (or randomly) even if used once within 24h right? Otherwise i may just leave an alt account there and use it to move those vehicles once a day. -
Not the worse tho... they are pretty fast offroad, certainly faster than normal cars. But they have only one seat and they are pretty loud.

If you type "HIVE" in the filter .. you'll find plenty. I regularry play on 3 of them, together with the official one of course. -

Freeze on login has been suggested many times.. and it won't help at all. Neither it helps for the server hoppers to reposition (you just need to position a little further); neither it helps to server hop for loot. A fix must be definitive.. not fix only half of the problem, while potentially disrupt the game: being freezed while login? It's the thing that ANY game prevents because you can get spawn-killed. -

Is anyone watching at KAI streaming right now? A guy (devboss) is actually giving weapons to ppl on demand! Without even accessing to their accounts but adding the weapon someway from the main game DB. Please tell me he's actually a developer.. otherwise this game is much more hacked than i tought.... -

That's what i do.. when i want to troll around or when there's trouble because of servers problems, patch bugged or such... i use my "rambo" account; when i want to play "serious" (with team mates and such) i use my "primary" account.
