    There's private servers with helis.. so it's not necessarily hacked.

    Nope.. most ppl are killing other players just for the kill, you see tons of snipers that doesn't even care to go to loot the bodies they shot down, you only loot em when they are on your way. Gear is too common: it's easier to collect it from the buildings, than kiling other players for it.

Stop spamming ppl IDs here on the forum, because the first ****head can come here on the forum posting a video about a cheater (even himself) but then give the ID of another player he doesn't like and then that player will be banned instead. There's a whole list of players ID's in the bug forum section, i can just go there.. collect em and start to spam em here in the cheat section just for trolling. And not, i do not defend the cheating/hacking kids, but you should turn your brain on before doing dumb things that may be even worse than cheating.
  5. Dunno about him.. but i play in clan and when i die i collect back all my stuff almost instantly (a matter of 5 minutes: the time they keep me up with a vehicle again). So i'm not scared to die, this is why i do rambo things... like running with a bike in the middle of the airfield to attract the snipers to shoot at me exposing their position to my mates ... lol. I recognize this is trolling and it's what is ruining this game.. and i don't care at all, the devs decided that the game should have turned into this (not the players.. since they didn't applied a game mechanic to correct this trolling behaviour. like removing bandit skin; do not penalizing enough the deat.. and such), and so i'm playing it like this. Dying is not-existant for certain ppl (clan players), collecting gear is extremely easy (matter of minutes) ... it's all about deathmatch. Do i like this? No. Why i'm cointinuing to play like this? Because there's no alternative (i don't like to respawn every 10 minutes being killed by a noob). What im looking for? For a more mature gameplay.. if there will be one... this is my "butthurt": being "forced" to play CoD with Arma2 engine. :)

    Where the helicopters?

    You find them on private hive servers, one of the reason of why im stick playing on these servers recently. It simply amazing scouting with a heli when you have one, or follow ppl with one around to map to find their base camp to steal it. Yesterday we found a enemy clan in Berezino with a choppa, they were five of them, they touched the ground to loot the military camp .. we known about it and we awaited the right moment to ambush em.. one of us died, we shoot down 3 of them, the pilot managed to escape leaving his mates on the ground while the other aboard were minigunning us .. they saved the choppa, we saved our lives. Exciting moments.. unfortunately they are lost on the official servers (and i dunno for what reason...).

    Things have have been done now... i don't think i will ever come back now to play as survivor, the game turned into what's right now and it would be hard to "transform" it back to what it was weeks ago or such: 90% of the players will have the bandit skin and i will continue to shoot on sight.

    Seems pretty obvious... but i'm enjoying the private servers so much now, for this simple reasons: there's no disconnectors at all (i mean ZERO), the reason is due to the fact that you won't have much more servers to connect to then.. since you're forced to reconnect to the same server in the same position .. first or late. The game is so much better ... o so many level.. that i dunno where to start to describe it. :) Problems: the amateur servers are a pain.. (cheaters, kid admins.. and such); but the "serious" ones (ie: admined by clans and adult ppl with a constant presence of admins to take care of cheatears and such) are a great place to play. Now i don't want to invite ppl to play on the private servers (having many servers to chose from with a centralized DB is essential), but i wish to have the same type of gameplay on the official servers one day... disconnectors (and i don't mean only those that tries to avoid to be killed; but those others that reposition on a different server to pop at your back to shot at you) are ruining this mod, right after the cheaters.

    I don't find much fun to loose the gear because of hackers/cheaters/bugs ... yeah it's alpha, so none shouldn't be attached to their gear, but you can't say it's fun! :)

    The game is a little more enjoying because you feel less the "pressure".. whenever you don't care at all about your gear (i usually don't), you can't simply ignore the fact that you spend a couple of days to have that NVG or AS50; on private servers this doesn't exists: you know you have many characters on many servers (more like regular games) and you do so much more things ... it's more common to find vehicles, you finally have a chance to repair and use a helicopter (last night i had great fun with it) ... and such. I must admit that i don't play on official servers (mainly because of the latest issues with patches) by 5 days already..
  12. Exporting reg keys, whenever it is easy for experienced users may sounds overcomplicated to a normal PC user.. this is why i suggested to use the separate steam accounts when possible.

    Men.. more than half of those streamers are helped by the cheaters, for some of them is pretty clear (you see it...), for the others: they do it offline. How do you believe that they are constantly killed but then having back: cars, trucks, helicopters, and any sort of weapon within 10 minutes after respawn while the screen where misteriously black because (official reason): "i were chatting on skype and i didn't want to share the desktop". :)
  14. Sorry to say.. but this "guide" is unnecessary complex if you use Steam. The first part is correct: you need to purchase only one copy of arma2, then each copy of the expansion (Operation Arrowhead) for each separate account you want to use. - Install Arma2 and Operation Arrowhead normally and play it one time; - Create a separate Steam account; - Buy Operation Arrowhead expansion (only the expansion) again with this account (You don't need to install it again!); - Play it one time; - You finished. Anytime you want to switch between the two accounts, just login with the Steam account you wish to use and launch Arma2:OA: Steam will take care of updating the correct CD-KEY itself at the A2:OA starting. You only need to export the registry key if you don't use Steam. I suggest you to create two Arma2 profiles to differentiate the ingame nicknames.

    Is losing everything... Enough?

    Spawn (~15 seconds) > Respawn until u spawn in Cherno or Elektro (~2 minutes) > Find a Lee Enfield (~5 minutes) > no need for food/water (you'll envetually die before u need em) > start the deathmatch. Penalty suffered for dying: less than 8 minutes. Repeat forever (or until you get bored). The other option is to go to north.. but for what reason? To collect gear that you'll never use or that you'll eventually loose because of a bug or a cheater? A waste of time! Stay in cherno and shoot on sight collecting kills. ^^^^ This is not what this mod is made for ... but "unfortunately" the players are just that: videogamers! :)
  17. Yup, no-PvP server (no hive), it's a good way to play differently between a deathmatch and another. PS: you can still kill other players, but just one time (the server will auto-kickban you).

    What ppl are saying is that they are lame to do what they do... but you're even worse, coming here to accuse someone of lameness, while you're exploiting the game server hopping. It's like a cheater posting a video of another cheater admitting he's cheating as well. This is dumb on many levels (but enternaining to read i must say).

    Did you realized that this is the same fun the cheaters are getting? (ie: killing anyone on the server with a nuke) Do you believe this is good for a game? I tell you: it's not.

    It is a weapon that doesn't fit this game/mod ... it's like saying: let's introduce the tanks or even nukes .. they are vehicles and weapons after all, but they will heavily unbalance the game, this is why i hope the L85A2 will stay out. PS: before you reply i had the weapon (pre 1.7.2) and i admit it was OP, especially when played in team: two guys with thermal to spot players and others to snipe em.. almost unbeatable.

    It seems i cannot aim anymore.. or to be exact when i press the right mouse button it "zooms" like i'm no aiming. Did i activated any strange option? :-/

    I'm Now a Deathmatch Player

    Before playing in a big team.. i used to play completely alone, and you don't need an extraordinary intelligence to collect what you need within minutes: you rush to the first big city for the essential tools (if you die, no problem, you can respawn again and again until you succede).. the average time to collect an alice backpack, some navigation tools (maps, compass), a side arm (revolver, colt or just a makarov), a primary weapon (usually an AKM) is around 20 minutes, again twenty minutes << and you're fully equiped to engage another player in PvP. You move away and you start to navigate trought the deer stands.. they are so many and everywhere, there you can collect anything you want (including sniper rifles.. and mil ammos). In 2 hours you have anything you need, except for some tacti-cool tools like the NVG (i intentionally used that term since the NVG is cool but not essential after they tweaked again the night lighting). To resume: dying alone, means having to respawn again, and pass a single day to collect stuff. Dying in a team means spend like 10 minutes to meet again with your friends and restock. This is not enough as "punishment" for dying.. this is why most ppl are doing brainless things, because they are ready to PvP again in max 20 minutes. Give them a VERY GOOD reason to preserve their digital life (i would remember you that in RL you can die only one time.. that's why you do not do stupid things) and you'll eventually have a more mature gameplay, because at the moment the "perma-death" is a joke, and i agree with who said: "this is a shooter with an elaborate/longer than usual gear-collecting procedure".

    stealth abuse

    1 hour timeout if you change server (you cannot login in the previous server for 1 hour.. so you cannot reposition to have an unfair advantage). Having multiple camps on different servers.. and continuosly hopping server by server? This is not a fucking SciFi movie, there's no teletrasportation, you're not supposed to exploit the game mechanics jumping crazy on another server to stock your tent, then come back, then do it again... Mr.Scott!
