Interesting. I did not find any entries for "RUVehicleBox". Could you elaborate on why this the ammo box entries should be bannable? I am now getting conflicting answers about this.

I would never kick anyone from my server for using these items. Can they be annoying when used to block off important locations? Absolutely. But that is what a toolbox is for. I spent 45 minutes once cutting my way into a campsite that a clan obviously spent great care in protecting. Setting up wire and such around your camp not only helps protect it and warn people that the area is hot, it also looks cool and can be used to simply show that someone was there. I once found something that looked like a modern day Stonehenge built on top of a mountain out of sandbags and hedghogs as a makeshift heli landing pad. It looked awesome and helped the pilots find their landing site while at the same time, reminded me that other players visit the same mountain I just trekked all the way out to in the middle of nowhere. And bear traps... they are fun for leaving outside of a tent when you find it is full of hacked/duped gear.

Wish we had the GUID's of these asshats. Would love to add them to my BE Ban list. What a sad crew. Hack boxes are nothing new. At least when most scripters bring them in, they put them in palces where everyone can access them and makes it kind of a level playing field. But its up to admins to get rid of that shit. These guys scripted in all this crap for themselves obviously and are trying to have an unfair advantage and, and if some "other clan" put it there, they did nothing to clean it out. They just hoarded it for themselves and probably server hop with those weapons, trying to look like tough guys.

Server is getting a much needed patch tonight. Will take care of the weird issues that started happening all weekend with players who got killed respawning with all their gear, players who didn't get killed spawning with nothing, and the vehicles not respawning for the last two nights. Thank you to the people who brought these issues to my attention, and to Vilayer for the assistence.

Also I'd like to point out that we added about 10 players to the ban list over the last couple of nights, most of which we caught in real time due to vigilant log monitoring. Since the server came online earlier this week, we have had over 300 players join up so far, so I like to think we are keeping a good ratio of legit versus script kiddies.

THe vent I have currently is small and kind of sucks. I will be getting a better one tonight most likely and will open it up to the public. Vilayer only offers TS3 or Mumble, so I will be going with a different host for the Vent. Also after today's random server crash while it was maxed out at 40 players has me rather displeased with Vilayer and has me considering a new host.

For the last 2 hours, we have had someone teleporting to players and killing them, even shooting through walls. We have no idea who is doing it. Battleeye is not catching it. The log files show nothing but streams of garbage that tell me nothing about who I should be banning to keep my server playable. What can I do about this?

Yes I knew to monitor those logs, but there are very few entries within them and nothing very suspicious looking. Perhaps my logs are not functioning properly? Also multiple people reported a specific player of telelporting to them and dropping hacked weapons such as G36c's, and then when he got killed, they said he nuked the whole server twice in a row before I logged into the RCON to try and catch him... the player's name is absolutely no where to be found. He is not listed in any of the logs or in the player database for my server. It's like he managed to circumvent Battleye completely. How is this possible? More importantly, how do I protect my server from this?

Gogster, yes I do. My server is on VIlayer Hive, and is running the most current version to my knowledge.

Actually it's not, but thanks for the tip. Yeah, I wa sonly in there for about an hour ealier this week. I was pretty well geared, and got killed. The bandit who got me bragged about all the stuff he took from me. One of the SLAP admins with the intellect of a 12 year old started flaming him, telling him to shut up, and then banned him for no reason. I typed in side chat "Aww, shame that you banned him. I was hoping to find him and get my gear back". 5 seconds later, I am banned too. Just a gross abuse of power. Come on in man. Server has been doing very well for the last couple of nights now, with the exception of 1 hacker nuking us twice. Trying to do all that I can to protect the server.

Now he just nuked my server twice in a row. WTF is this shit? How are we supposed to admin our servers when these logs are completely useless? I see nothing suggesting hacks in the log. Players are saying its a player named fluffykins yet no one with that name shows in the database. THey also say he is dropping weapons like G36c's around, and I can find nothing about that in the logs. This is total bullshit.

Purchased a Lingor Island server from Vilayer yesterday. So far so good. No complaints. Loads fast and pings smooth.

Same happening on my VIlayer - Lingor Island server. Restarted this morning and had a couple players say the Heli they had is now gone.

Server has been going strong for almost 24 hours now. Thanks guys. Sorry to the crew that lost their Heli at server restart. Not sure why that happened.
