I always bury the bodies, mostly out of my own delusional respect for the fallen. I like to immerse myself that way, makes me feel good.

Mostly true, except for SD weapons, they do a little less. I don't believe it's any stronger, but I wouldn't know, I've never touched it.

Make sure the Arma 2 beta patch it up to date, then retry connecting. Also, if you're trying to connect to servers outside of your DayZ version, it can disconnect you from it. Hope that helps solve your problem - if not, I'll check in again.

I hate to say it, but that's kinda what you get for being brand new and running straight up to the NWAF without any supplies or clue what was going on. Stick to the shore, my friend, at least until you get a better feel for the game.

My biggest complaint is how pain works in this game. Okay, I understand getting hit by anything will be painful, but when my character starts shaking like a heroin addict after EVERY SINGLE HIT - I mean, come on! I've popped so many pills in an hour's span, it'd make Dr. House's head spin!

Also, do a Google search for "Arma2 beta patch" and make sure you have the most up to date one. Sometimes Six Launcher doesn't update the latest one.

I'm sorry, but this made me lol. I'd suggest getting one of your friends (preferably freshly spawned) to scour the coast for a boat for you. They then to be around Solnichniy, or at least they are for me.

Knockout chances are randomized by hit, not a set percentage per gun. The DMR and M24 do both take 2 body shots to kill if they have over 8k blood.

Not all servers have a daily server restart. Some are sooner, others are later. Depends on the hosts.
