The world has ended but the people it left behind have not given up. A majority of them strive for a better future while others only wish to further their own existence. This is the only thought that I have as I listen to our leader Igor explain the crimes of the man we are about to hang. Two days ago we finished scavenging the towns and made our base at the North East Airfield. We cleared the airfield of zombies and went exploring for weapons. When a group of scavengers and I approached the doors of the air traffic control tower we found that they were closed tight and would not budge. We found a suitable battering ram and hit at the door until the lock shattered. When one of the younger scavengers turned the handle he was met with a barrage of bullets from within the tower. They ripped through the door and then the young man and sent him flying backwards into the grass. The other scavengers and I then proceeded to aim our guns at the opening in the doorway from where the bullets came and opened fire. We stopped firing after about 2 minutes and the only sound that we heard was a small cry that said, “Please don’t hurt m, I give up!” I raised my weapon and stormed in to see a man in his mid thirties with an M4A1 by his side. From the blood on his clothes it was obvious that he suffered a wound from the stomach. I hooked my foot around the M4 and kicked it behind me to the men outside. Since I knew some medical procedures I was able to keep him alive and remove the bullet. I sent a couple soldiers in to retrieve the wounded man from within the tower. When they exited the tower a majority of The Republic was already there waiting. The scavenger who had been killed by him was known by everyone as a kind and gentle-hearted fellow who deserved more than that. The two soldiers carrying the murderer pulled up their hoods because a number of our soldiers were throwing rocks at the man and spitting on him. He was hated by everyone and his face was that of a dead man. We spent the next day making a makeshift gallows so that this man would pay for his crimes. In the meantime we kept him inside the jail cell within the main office of the airfield. As I watched our men busy at work my curiosity got the best of me and went in to see the murderer. Two armed guards were in front of the cell and when I approached one of them recognized me as a squad leader and said, “Hello Mr. Mallenskii!” I let out a small chuckle and saw that the man was very bewildered. “Please, call me Lex.” I said to him. “Can I see him?” I asked the soldier. “Yes Mr-, I mean Lex.” He responded nervously. I then walked into the jail cell and see the man sitting on his bed staring at the ground with a face of regret and sadness. “Hello Mr?” I ask him. “You can call me James, what should I call you?” “You can call me Lex.” I responded. I then sat down next to him and asked him about who he was and why he did what he did. He told me of how he was a baker in Chernogorsk and that his family was executed by a group of bandits. He was the robbed numerous times by thieves that beat him mercilessly if he refused. He told me how he had given up on humanity because of the things he saw people resort to. He said that he thought that we were going to kill him and that’s why he shot. “I didn’t want any of this to happen, I just wanted to live my life.” He said as tears began rolling down his cheeks. He then looked at me and told me how sorry he was for everything. He pleaded with me for his life to be spared but I think he knew from my expression that there would be no mercy. He was a murderer and there was going to be consequences. The next day I watched from the balcony of the tower as Igor stated the crimes of the man known as James Harrison. The moment before Arthur Delroy pulled the lever the condemned man looked up at me and mouthed the words, “I’m Sorry”. Luckily his death was instantaneous, the floor gave way underneath him and his neck snapped. The crowd cheered for the fact that the scavenger was now avenged but then dispersed to back to their regular activities. Yes, I've pressed okay. And made sure to do all of that. It might be something wrong with the files, but I don't know where to start.

Hey, I'm an experienced Day Z with a lot of time in the game. I just created this forum account. But, I need help. My settings always reset and it's very annoying. So let's say I make a profile. Give him a face and then change my video settings. Everything goes back to default. Any help here? Thanks.
