  1. Bla_Ze, I actually did address the ping issue already, which is the only thing I can address seeing as, and I'll say it again, servers sometimes go down. I personally think it is you that's being intentionally obtuse, and extremely narcissistic I will add. Setting the max ping is my prerogative as an admin. You're playing on a Dallas server from Europe; I'm not owner of too many tin foil hats but, with all the lag everyone has been experiencing lately, I'd figured the high pings would only be causing more issues. I'm simply doing what I can to make the server playable. I set the ping, got off after the server crash, realizing I would not be able to get my things back, and left the computer shortly after. Checked the forums and saw the issue with ping, logged in remotely and reset it. You yourself pointed out the server didn't crash "just after you killed me" but nearly ten minutes later. Your accusations don't line up with logic. If the point was to keep my murderer from looting my stuff, why not just lock the server? Why intentionally kick off friends with a purposefully low max ping -- friends that are also running back, and staying on the server after I had left? No one is out to get you Bla_Ze. In fact, I'm on your side, trying to provide a server where these things do not occur. I'll just take my leave from this thread at this point though; there is no sense in repeating what has already been said numerous times.
  2. Well I'm not going to continue pointing out how silly it is to assume that every server restart is about you, especially when playing on a beta patch on top of an alpha mod. I'm sorry you feel it was unfair; as I've pointed out, I was playing the game just as you were, inconvenienced in the same ways. Servers restart; servers crash. My host does a good job of keeping them minimal but no host can provide 100% uptime.
  3. So after dying, the admin waits seven minutes to restart the server? Why would a corrupt admin with access to the server wait almost ten minutes to shut the server down? Why wouldn't they lock the server if they wanted to keep you from looting anything? Your claims make no sense, Bla_Ze. I would assume that your friend, Tobblish, would have already relayed the fact that another regular player in the server has already claimed killing you for foolishly firing your weapon off without regard. Since that is not the case, you can view the thread here (http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=9599). You and your group can put away your torch and pitchforks.

    Dallas 20

Tobblish, I'd apologize but I am not aware of who you are or what you're talking about. Are you sure it was on Dallas 20? There has been zero admin interference or abuse on this server and it will remain that way. I'm happy to read whatever it is you have to say but, again, I'm confused as to what you're referring to. Edit: After reading your edit, I can confirm that I did get killed today but had to respawn like anyone else would have had to. If that was you that killed me, it looks like you -- and friends -- managed to loot that camp so I'm confused what the issue is. Again, are you sure you're not confused about the server?

That may have been by accident. I normally set a MaxPing of 200 but I'll remote in and check now; I might have mistakenly entered 100. Thanks for the heads up tsurotu. Edit: Logged into BE RCON and set the ping at -1 for now so there should be no cap at the moment. Let me know if it gives you any further issues. And thanks for reporting the issue here. I have never seen any complaints about the server but I actively browse these forums just in case. Thanks for bringing attention to it for me to address.

You know, you might be on to something darkhawk. You probably should keep from trying to sell your services online because you type and speak like a prepubescent child and your attitude matches! You'll notice this is my first post; hopefully that squelches any derogatory straw man you can fabricate about why I'm posting here. As another person pointed out, there is massive demand for this at the moment. The first to figure out how to do it properly will have pretty nice flow of income for hardware upgrades and expansion. Choosing to sell your wares in private messages is the digital equivalent to the the guy in the alley, offering items from the lining of his trenchcoat. Sure, the advice from others in this thread is unsolicited but it would be prudent for you to calm down for a moment, taking the time to evaluate the quality suggestions of others. However, since you've decided to go on the offensive with a volley of ad hominem remarks, let me give you one last piece of advice: don't reveal who you are or the name of your company. I can assure you that darkhawk224 and his juvenile attitude has lost at least one potential customer today. Don't make it worse and give us more information.
