Yeah, I'm honestly thinking you're right. I've scheduled restarts every 6 hours now so we'll give it a day or so and I should be able to report back tonight or tomorrow morning on whether or not it's fixed. Thanks again for the suggestion!

You know, the last time I spoke with my host, he had scheduled 6-hr (or 8-hr) restarts implemented. We just moved though and I'm not seeing anything scheduled within the control panel. This is actually a really good question; thanks!

Is it possible, server side, to remove the ability to place waypoints? Does 'Mercenary' difficulty offer this? Edit: Changing 'wpHud=0' or choosing Mercenary difficulty takes off waypoints from the hud.

I already stated we changed to US 90 on June 6. I must have guessed incorrectly that you would be able to comprehend having some consistency for server regulars given that you have a small community. I'll change our server's ID since it seems like the logic of it all is above you.

Loot farming is not something you can be banned for. You put yourself in constant jeopardy by staying close to major loot point.

This mod is in alpha state Jon. This is not a AAA title being released by a studio after having gone through all stages of development. This is a free mod and this IS the testing. There have been talks of a standalone component later possibly and, supposedly, this already works well on top of Arma 3. His mod, his rules. He gets to decide how things are used in order to fully process and utilize the data coming from the servers. Things like persistence aren't free but the mod is. This is his creation and these are the terms of use. It's as simple as that. Personally, I don't believe the persistence adds anything to the experience and that servers (communities) should be operated in the same fashion as Minecraft. However, these are the conditions for hosting a server and you're certainly not the first person to have a differing opinion. To be blunt, however, that's not going to deter hundreds upon hundreds (if not thousands) of servers from popping up because the mod is just so much fun. As for administrating your server, you still have every right to ban or kick people who use racist, bigoted, or just generally malicious comments. You still have every right to pursue and protect your server from individuals who may glitch, cheat, and exploit the rest of the community. I don't see what the problem is that you have about administrating a server.

Yeah, I also understand the workload is exponentially growing for Anthony and Adam. My group and I, along with just about every person that has played on our server, absolutely love the quality of the server itself. As danile666 noted, support was nearly instantaneous when I first purchased. It has degraded over time but not to the point that I'm overly frustrated, but rather simply concerned. I too have questions. As for server time, I'd honestly prefer a PST (UTC -7) time frame in lieu of our current -9 setup so I don't see that being a problem in the move to Seattle. The thing I AM worried about is the seemingly constant pricing changes. I was happy to sign up so quickly with Anthony and I understand I may have paid a little more for that at the time; I just want to be sure that I'm locked in at the $35 price we later talked about. Again, I can only say that, despite maybe taking on a larger than anticipated work load, Anthony knows what he's doing with the servers. They can sometimes go down unexpectedly but that's any server for any game ever; when it's up and running though, I have not found a better server anywhere. I am excited to be closer to the hive as he pointed out in an earlier post. We'll see what else comes from the move and second month as a customer.

Yeah, currently Anthony and HFB have me on UTC-9 as I was the first or second customer. I was told that I would be moved off my current box at the end of this billing cycle. I'm not sure of the reason but I would hope my server and settings would remain the same, having agreed on these settings originally.

For the first dozen or more customers, we have not been given access to a control panel. I asked to have beta applied to the server but was told they'll just do it when it's required.

You had no intention of simply asking questions or bringing up suspect incidents. Every post you, Tobblish, BASE, and Zelgaden have made has been made under the the umbrella of confirmation bias. You've already come to a conclusion in your mind and there's nothing that can be done to change it. I've been the only one to admit any sort of error or mistake and addressed it immediately. The rest of you are apparently infallible and omnipotent. I'm not as divine as you, so you'll excuse me if I get bit frustrated when I get off the server that I pay for, after spending time addressing issues from other server regulars and generally doing what I can to keep illegitimate players out of the serve, just to come defend myself against the claims of those blind to basic logic. As for being civilized, I've gone to lengths to invite you and your cohort into a private session which you've ignored. I'm not required to continue responding with civility when faced with incessant idiocy. Enjoy your game hero; enjoy it somewhere else.

Unbelievable. You and Tobblish attracted another player and died. Zelgaden and BASEGOD can't read and apparently don't know how to save tents. In both cases, your accusations stem from nothing but this attitude of entitlement and narcissism. Every server restart is apparently the admin out to get you. Every tent you come across is apparently the admin's camp. The alpha mod is apparently all about keeping a handful of clowns from getting their hands on a truck or a special gun. Never mind the fact that waiting 10-20 minutes would be incredibly foolish if the admin actually cared to abuse his powers. You are everything that is wrong with this mod. You act as if that tent you looted or person you shot quantifies significance in your dreadful life. I, however, don't value these in-game "achievements" or items as you do. I expect to die and I expect to have my camp discovered. The beauty and fun of the game is in writing a new story for each new life. Your claims hold no water and say more about you than it does about anyone else. Part of me hopes you have to admin a server one day so you can experience the frustration of others dragging your name and efforts through the mud; however, that would mean you have access to do the very things you're so quick to assume others have done to you. BASEDGOD, it is entirely possible that someone with the in-game name "reersh9" was killed at your camp. I've never seen another person with that handle, so I can only assume your friend cannot read or you've got a woody for a witch hunt, neither of which really concern me at this point. Simply put, my GUID was killed Monday night at Pobeda Dam, logged off, and spawned fresh Tuesday afternoon. Whomever you killed was not me. In fact, I've never been shot in the face looting tents. In the event that someone does investigate your baseless claims, they will find information that corroborates my statements. Do you know what happened to the boy that cried, "Wolf?" He had to find another server to play on. So do you.

I'm not going to continue arguing the fact that I have only played for less than an hour since dying last night, with that time spent in Balota this afternoon. Your friend is either illiterate or lying; in either case, actual logs and investigation from someone with access to character data will corroborate my comments. As for your tents, you just admitted that all your stuff was still there. Admins do not have the ability to "reset" the server. Tent/vehicle information is not saved locally. You likely didn't save or the hive didn't update. In either case, you're both welcome to find another server to play on as you have no clue what you're talking about and you continue to perpetuate falsehoods and misinformation.

What? Are these seriously MORE accusations of admin abuse when you are admitting that the server goes down a SIGNIFICANT amount of time later? Again, I could understand the suspicion if the server goes down immediately but you're saying that an admin shuts the server down 10-20 minutes later? At that point, you've had plenty of time to loot any items, move gear, save vehicles and tents. Also, I just now jumped into my server today so Zelgaden could not have just shot me. I died last night and I spawned by Balota just this minute; you and this other band of misfits continue to fabricate bullshit. I would love to have access to the character creation database and show you that I died last night, logged off, and just logged on within the past hour. Stop lying. Let me make something clear that I've restated multiple times: servers restart. In fact, servers restart a lot! Feel free to rent or provide your own and you will become aware of just how often they can crash or require a manual restart. In any case, if a server restarts almost a quarter to half an hour later, you can rest assured that the admin is not interested in keeping you from playing the game appropriately. As for joining the server, if you -- or anyone else for that matter -- cannot keep from fabricating obvious lies, you're welcome to NOT play on Dallas 20 anymore. It's completely unacceptable to have you and a few other prepubescent narcissists falsely accuse and harass me despite my every effort to keep the server clean from those that would compromise your gameplay experience.

The server admin did not kill you. His "bois" did not kill you. The admin has every right to set a max ping and every right to a mistake once in a while. The admin logged in away from the computer to fix the ping issue when he found out about it. Tobblish, your child-like narcissism is getting in the way of rational thought. If I had any interest in keeping you from looting my camp after killing me, I would not have waited 10 minutes to restart the server and THEN keep it open for you to join again. I had no way of knowing who was with you and who wasn't so accusing me of specifically targeting you and your group makes no sense. Lastly, many of us lost items at the camp but you don't see us whining incessantly like prepubescent school kids. You died. Admin died. Blaze died. We all lose. You just choose to lose without displaying any level of maturity. I've repeatedly addressed all issues you have had; you are simply too stubborn or blatantly unwilling to read the explanations. Feel free to provide your own server and let us know about it. I'd love to finally see a server that is not affected by drastic differences in ping while maintaining a record of 100% uptime.

I can confirm that the skin is part of the BAF pack. The ghillie and camo skins look very nice in high resolution and I've heard that both packs have very fun missions. Ten bucks wasn't a horrible price to pay for that.

I guess it would have to be extremely slow and still negligible, something like 100 and hour.

Tobblish, I think I'm fine with you not joining the server anymore. You're only interested in attacking me and others at this point. That was why you registered and posted on my website and why no amount of facts or explanation will help to sway you and the rest of your lynch mob. I've tried to be as cordial as possible but you have met that only with ridicule.

Thanks tsoruto and thanks for hopping into D20. Server rules, I'm pretty sure, are listed when you join but, just in case you miss them, can be found at www.metaredux.com. You can also find the info for the server's voice comms and other useful info. I have done what I can to address the concerns with the server. The ping issue was an honest mistake, fixed as soon as I was made aware. Thanks again for bringing it to my attention.
