Did this fuck just spam DayZ-Forums with real medical advertisement?

Stealth kills with hunting knife sound cool. I'm sure they will implement something like this sooner or later. Just wait for it, it's just a few guys working on a game played by thousands. There also are silenced weapons, so no need to "dinner bell" people right in front of you ;)

Removing ammo count? NICE!

"fixed graphical glitches" MY ASS
Renfrew replied to austendude's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
I totally agree with this. For me and many others it's just some unlootable corpses on the ground, so fuck them. It would neither kill the atmosphere, nor do anything else bad if they were removed. This worked for me (at least temporarily): -
I'd try changing servers a few times. As it seems to me, spawning on different servers on or near the same location actually lets you respawn at the coast. Sucks if you want to stay at your sniper position, but could help you get out of that container.

I was banned on my Private Dayz Server
Renfrew replied to HamsterGames's topic in Mod Servers & Private Hives
How to be a complete moron: Step 1: Buy game required to play "Realistic Zombie Survival Modification". Cost: ~25€ Step 2: Install everything, get ingame and find out you were too stupid to understand what "Realistic - Survival" means (staying alive in a terrific scenario like a Zombie apocalypse with very few means that are hard to acquire). Step 3: Find a way to work around the core purpose of this modification (getting a private server and scripting to spawn weapons, OLOLOL) Step 4: Forget to disable Battleye - get banned for cheating on your own server. Step 5: Complain on the Forums, be a total douche about it, curse at others for not helping you about fucking up the games purpose, be laughed at by everyone reading it. Step 6: Cry like a pussy at night. Nice thread, I certainly laughed my ass off. Now please go die in a fire, OP. Kthxbye. -
There are some servers that seem to be hive-independent. That means they do not save your gear or stats, they simply play by their own rules (check start inventory on such servers, it might be altered). So don't worry if you are greeted with the gender question when entering a server, it might just be a non-hive server.

I use the 1.7.2.5 version of DayZ and it still happens to me. It takes 2-4 times of server switching and *bam* you are back at the coast. Sucks big time, especially when you are further inland and on some mission with your buddies. A friend of mine tried soloing NW airfield and got set back to the coast after switching servers a few times. It might be connected with that, but it rather seems like a general bug to me.

I reinstalled Steam and the game (ArmA II + OA, I own the whole ArmA X pack for Steam) from backup files I made before. In my installation of DayZ it says to start ArmA II and OA once before continuing, so I did that. ArmA II started up just fine, but OA gave me the same error. Here is how I fixed it: Go to your library in Steam, right click Operation Arrowhead and go to Properties. Then Local Files and Verify Integrity of Game Cache. Let it run, it might give you some bullshit about not having worked or whatever. Ignore that. Close Steam completely, start it up as Administrator again. Login and run Operation Arrowhead. Should work fine now.
