Signed off on a Old Bike... What do?

And if some one has taken it?
  4. Hi guys. I am a somewhat seasoned DayZ player, except in the area of vehicles. I found an old bike and was derping around with my friend in the middle of a field I accidently started drifting off and started gliding along a player who was running in the opposite direction. I freaked out because I recently got a gillie suit and did not want to die, so I, without thinking, immediately signed off. I did not even get off the bike. The bike was stationary when I logged off. So my problem is, what is going to happen when I log back on? Will I just be in the same spot? Will I die if some took the bike and is going 30 down some road? Will it change if I go on to a different server from the one I was logged in to? Also a side note, whenever my friend joins a server, he instantly becomes passed out. Everything is fine (Blood, water, food etc...). He is passed out for about two minutes every time no matter what server he go's on. Any help with either of these two issues would be greatly appreciated.

Is there any humanity in DayZ

Do you guys ever feel like the bad luck Brian of DayZ? I was just on a server with 3 people and was running through buildings in Zelenogorsk. I knew know one was in the city because the zombie count was zero as I approached it. I was running through one of those giant long farm buildings and out of no where I see some bandit peak his head around the door and unload a clip before I could even react... I was pretty set too... Map,Compass, AKM 4 clips, food, water, everything to live of the wild. but nope. on a server with 3 people.. . and the map size of Chernarus... the guy finds and murders me... Sometimes I hate this game.

    A safer Chernarus (kind of...)

I really love the story aspect of that helicopter hunter! My only added thought would be instead of just adding more and more zombies, possibly make them stronger. Some more mutated one's that look drastically different and take much more shots to put down. Also I thought of Minecraft when posting this Mr. mZLY. I did not mention it in my post but I know this idea/theme has been used or thought of quite a bit. That is why I asked for some other ideas besides taking back Chenrarus. I own and play Minecraft, I would not say Minecraft is not really like DayZ... At all... However in Minecraft there is not really an huge game goal except to get to the the Nether or "The End" and kill the dragon. Besides that the rest of the world is just for dinking around in and building. Like I said though, I am still wondering if anyone else has a different idea for this no bandit mode.

    A safer Chernarus (kind of...)

I had that thought as well. I definitely will keep thinking on it and when I have the time and energy propose a full blown idea. Good to know there are others thinking like me though...
  8. I have been playing DayZ a lot recently and dreaming up some ideas. I know a lot of you are VERY turned off by the thought of a no bandit DayZ because it is a core game play mechanic, but I would like you to keep an open mind for this one. Don't get me wrong, I love the bandit aspect of DayZ, but I think it would be cool to try out a all-survivor server. However there is one big flaw with this idea... Imagine if people did not, or could not, kill each other in DayZ anymore. What would they do? Explore? Get the best guns and vehicles? Stop playing? Most would probably do the latter. But for those who did stay, they would probably go out and explore every inch of Chernarus with a few random strangers. It would be entertaining and cool, but for how long? At some point, you would do every thing you have wanted to do. You will have flown the Helicopter back and forth of Chernarus. You will have conquered that castle in the middle of nowhere and made it your stronghold. You will have found those 15 Sachel Charges and used them all at once on one building just to see what happens. But then what? With DayZ in its current form, we are all way to concerned with survival to think about anything else. But what if we were to take away that element of fear and add it with a new element of hope or determination? My thoughts are on this: A common goal all players on a server work to achieve. Something large and not easily done in a few days of work. However at this point... I became stumped. The only real idea I had which would work somewhat interesting would be players working to take back Chernarus, City by city, castle by castle. Some could go out to farther north to harder areas (Such as the air force base) to collect more rare loot, while other smaller groups go and try to weaken a nearby city's zombie count. And maybe at night a server could have to deal with excess zombies who are more easily agitated. This would make players have to decide "Should we bunker down in our place with no lights and hope we are not found? Or should we cover our place in lights and hope we do not get swarmed by an amount we can not handle?". This is just a thought I had. Obviously some things would still need to be thought out more (The whole random players joining any server, night and day cycles, etc...).However I think if we went away from the horrible "kill or be killed" theme and to a more positive "All for one and one for all" idea, some interesting things could happen. I apologize if this might be hard to read, I know if i put more work I could make this post more fancy with hidden spoiler boxes and what not. It would probably come across better, but I do not have that much time or focus. But what do you guys think? Does the idea of a server of just survivors sound good at all? And if so what common goal could these people strive towards?

Maybe more players like us should start wearing these tags... I will keep an eye out for TWM in the future.

There are few like us..... We may die many times but try to stay human. If you ever see Squaremilk or FM_bomb_Saw send a message. We will lend you a hand if needed.
  11. I have been playing this game on and off for a few months now. My friend and I are usually always together and I have yet to find a SINGLE person who did not instantly start shooting us... We just recently got a bike and motorcycle and I went out to get fuel. Needless to say I got gunned down on a server with about 3 other people no where near a coastal city... With the most recent update and removal of Global Chat I know people have become even more hostile but... Is there really anyone out there who does not try to shoot people on sight? I am not looking for people to meet up with or work together with, I just want a sign that there is some kindness left in Chernarus.
