  1. Couple of quick questions. I know double clicking on the map (with notes selected) will allow you to type a note on the map. Once it is set there, how do you delete it? Also, I set a note on the map while under the direct comm channel, so the people in my group around me could see it. I'm just wondering now, can anyone else see it if they get close to that area, or close to me? Not sure what the note is tied to exactly, my location or the object location.
  2. I've been using the latest beta patches for a while now and I'm glad direct communication is working, but I still find myself using Vent to speak to my friends more often than not. Not because it allows us to speak without others hearing us, but because direct communication is usually too quiet to hear. It's a bit on the quiet side when we are standing next to each other without any interfering noise of movement or gunfire. Add in any other noises and it just gets drowned out. I've maxed the sound in-game options and have music shut off. Any other suggestions?

    Direct Communication?

Ok, I see now that it is bugged until the next Arma II patch.
  4. I'm pretty new to the DayZ mod (and ArmaII). After a few failed communication attempts with other players, I finally met up with a buddy in-game who I was talking to outside of the game (on Ventrillo). We tested the Direction Communication channel and found that it wasn't really working for us. Direct Communication chat was not seen, and when we used the in-game voice chat it was *very* quiet, even with us standing next to each other. We tried to adjust volume options in-game but we couldn't come up with anything. Any suggestions to fix the voice chat or get the chat to show up? I'd hate to use the global chat channels to talk to someone right next to me.
