So its impossible to reskin pistol, so it can be secondary weapon? Or change weaponclass or some other parameter, I don't know the arma 2 engine scripting, to secondary? I don't see a problem there.

Hey guys, Didn't see a thread about it, anyways, I'll raise this again. Why melee weapons in DayZ aren't put in secondary slot? I bet they would be really popular for clearing zombies, and I can't understand how this would break the game and I also bet this would take like a single line of code to be implemented. So why this isn't done?

So a short story, my last 10 connections to server were: 1)debug plains 2)debug plains 3)debug plains 4)run out of debug plains 5)connection lost 6)Something went wrong! disconnect 7)connection lost 8)Something went wrong! disconnect 9)shore 10)debug plains So my question is, am I doomed or something, or is there some way to avoid all this random teleporting around every time i log into server?

in case someone googles "Green URAL parts don't show up for repairs", the issue is unsolvable. We found ourselves new Blue URAL and it had no problems, so Namalsk just has green one bugged at current version.

i think thats very good, that realistic zombie pull range. Now, when theres a poor new guy running around in cherno or elektro, dude with as50 will weight down pros and cons of shooting that poor harmless bambi and pulling all zombies on himself.

yes i have a toolbox, cos, as i said, two of the tires show up, just other parts dont.

we left it now, searching for replacement parts, vehicle. Can anyone give us more possible solutions? Engine and fueltank is broken too, and they dont show up.

Hey guise, We have this wierd issue in DayZ Namalsk map with yellow ural. We just hit a wall, engine, front wheel and fueltank is red, but when we get out and try to find it in repairable part list, there are only 2 yellow tires, other options dont show up. We have spare parts. Any ideas what to do?

Sup guise, A wierd and likely dumb question poped in my brain just now. There were few encounters with players that im a bit troubled about. I'm more of a cautious lone wolf - got rules on engagement, dont KoS unless 100% sure that the person is a threat. Problem is there were two times in my early days when me and some player were in close proximity, he and i were aware of each other presence, but i killed them because they didn't interact with me over direct chat, nor voice neither writen messages. Is it possible that they were SCREAMING: "FRIENDLY FRIENDLY OHH MY GOD DONT SHOOT ME, ILL GIVE YOU HELICOPTER, RANGEFINDERS, AS50 TWS ETC. JUST LET ME LIVE!!!!", but i didn't hear them because i was not in direct communication channel?

Well yeah, those are solutions but cmon, making doors like in l4d2, just with addition of ability to repair, maybe barricade them more, like nailing additional planks from wood pile with a toolkit, would be great and realistic. Maybe even add this to the pvp gameplay (barricaded doors would need a shotgun or couple of 5.56 rounds or mag of 9mm to break 'em). Would this be really hard to make? I could take a negative answer for arma 2 engine, but i have done some of game development, and i don't really believe in impossibilities. It's more of a question would players like this, wouldnt this break the game and arent devs too lazy, I'm sorry, busy to make this.

Sure this was mentioned before but how hard it would be to make doors a blockage for zombies, which they can take down in (some number) hits and players could repair them with toolkit and wood pile? Or make them unbreakable barrier for zombies? Would any of these brake the game and , again, could arma 2 engine support something like this?

u sure about that. i mean those servers are marked as non private, and dont have word private in their titles. this is bullshit ;/

So basically yesterday my dayz character started to reset every time i join new server. I get long error, something with words bin, .cfg and various item names (gps, m9mag, etc.) after game loads, i click ok and i join the server, straight into character creation screen. It was all ok, didnt patch anything, my pc runs game at 40-60 fps, mid-max settings. Any ideas?

just thought about this and you pretty much nailed it. One addition though, bunkers could be built anywhere outside town. Basically starting a first tier bunker would spawn it underground with visible doors. Selecting with middle mouse button would make opening door and climbing down animation. Inside there would be room/several rooms (depenting on tier), with tables, chairs or other objects (depenting on tier). First tier doors dont cover up. Other tiers could have possibilities that there is no visible door, you have to know where it is, middle mouse "enter bunker" option only appears if you point your mouse at correct spot, where doors would be. I dont think its a problem performance wise, its just another small building underground. Ofcouse there are some clipping issues that should be worked out, so first tier bunker shoudnt be hard to make in the beginning of implementation, in case it spawns badly (visible on the ground, doesnt spawn at all), so you could easily make new one when last one is destroyed.

i think this arrest was absurd from the beginning. Its god damn EU, almost like one single country, and Greece acted like China or some random crazy ass country.
