I'm still able to kill with 1 shot when using the m1911 & Revolver. no not headshots, bodyshots. yes i have 1.62.0.93593 beta update installed and i was using 1.7.1.4 patch. and no i don't realy want a fix :D

Rocket is looking at a way to roll back the nerv by adjusting the health system - the nerf had nothing to do with DayZ or Rocket btw in other words the nerf was not intended for Dayz.

It happens all the time in other games (mod for the pedantic) that are in alpha/beta stage.Isn't it the 1st rule of Dayz? Not to get attached to your items.

or at very least reset tents - of the million + how many are empty? i'd imagine at least 50%-75% - instant tent fix as its the tents with a million+ number that have the problems.

was that guy seriously saying you shouldn't have to read a manual (of some kind) to play a game?!!!! wtf has he only played pong and space invaders? "DAs not so 1337" holy hell the game is far from complex, run from or kill zeds, eat food or water to stay alive, bandage yourself if bleeding or take painkillers if shaking or morph if realy messed up. press the keys listed in the options menu to move etc. maybe look a few basic mechs re inventory / backpack. how much friggin easier do you want it?!!! Go back to pac man!

Hackers? Whilst playing the server admin types "Stop hacking beep you beep or i'll close the server" (not to me to the whole server and whoever was hacking. He also repeast the same verbally over the mic. Later in the North East airfield i'm "sniped" this dosen't sound odd except it has happened 3 times in a row in as many days on the same server. So what you say, you were sniped fair, so i thought the 1st time though i was in the tower and the windows didn't break, the second time i was on the roof so that seems legit, though before the 'You are Dead' screen appeared i was able to look around in zoom and saw no one so if it were a legit snipe it would have been at least 1km to the nearest forest. The 3rd time it had to be near impossible to shoot me unless in the same room as i always tuck in the corners when searching and i was in the aircraft hanger corner!! The 3rd time I also had a aghillie and sat on a hill for 10 minutes with binoculars and saw no signs of anyone at all. On my next char i wedge the W key down (anyone else do this? :) )and watch netflix my intention toi find my dead body and retrieve the AKS 74 u andshoove it up the a55 of the "sniper" only this time I miscalculate and end up in North East airfield (oops recognised the wrong areas...) so as I run around I notice the hangers aren't "there" well they are but all demolished same with the firestation, i think "hacker" and run expecting to be "sniped", i dodge left n right and then finally get between buildings no chance of being sniped just before i reach trees... guess what? i run and all of a sudden fall over dead, no sniper woosh of bullet this time but instant death - 4 deaaths in a row, same server all at airfields all unlikely deaths (copter camping server members guarding their chances of the chopper spawn??) Anyone want to shed light on this phenomenon and have other theories?? See no players (i binocular the area for 5 to 10 minutes before going in) yet i'm getting killed in impossible scenarios.

eh that sounds like a major issue..... maybe playing it for longer will reveal the exstent of problems the majoriety are experiencing unless you are lucky to play on the same 'perfect' server every time you play. -

Coming from the guy whoose previous message was:- "In regards to some zombies agroing and others not, it is dependent on if they are facing you." duh realy? and what about the 1s where you can run around and around them or the zombie i just vaulted over that was laying down? it made a grunt and then nothing. And saying i have no problems then in the next sentance "except for zombies stuttering around" is stupid (for want of a better word) as surely the stuttering IS a major issue related to desync. I see many posts like this. "I have no probs with this version, great patch... except for...... " then they list a whole string of "minor" problems that others see as serious probably due to the amount of time (or lack) spent in the game. Don't get me wrong i agree there needs to be a little less confontation and more constructive discussion yet i fail to see how many people reporting the same problem no matter how its said as worthless, as it confirms there IS a recognisable, repeatable error that is in need of attention. The current main points being discussed - desync issues (from lag, fps drops, unresponsive zeds, unable to pick up items or swap them from toolbelt to main and visa versa etc shown by :- debug window disappearing, yellow & red chain icon), - tents still being borked - unresponsive zeds (linked to desync), - weapons being nerfed (had no one reported this as Rocket said he would have not been aware of this effecting dayz, now he is looking into this with possible changes in the health system to counter the gun nerfing rather than changing arma2 directly), - graphical glitches (i have experienced this and it was "fixed" by adjusting video memory though other adjustments that reset from video options (black screen stateing "Receiving") will also 'fix' it), - inability to gut animals (some can some can't, i just experienced this so possibly due to desync). So what makes your reply any more (or less) useful? By pointing out others imperfect reports does not make yours perfect and in many ways makes your "moaning" about them on par with those you sort to ridicule. Lastly listing your specs is pointless, arma2 is way (2 years+) past that. -

as i said in a previous post i am running 1.62.0.95839 NOT 1.60.0.XXXXXXThe 1 possible thought was my char and the m1911 were started/found pre update (though after 1.62 release) - i specifically tried 3 servers and shot 80 zombies with the m1911 to make sure that what i was saying was fact that i was able to kill zeds after the update with 1 shot using an m1911. This char is now dead (thanks dmr 1 shot) so i cant fraps the proof. All i can say is 80+ zeds all non headshots, 1 shot kill with m1911. bug? most likely - why else would i have "reported" it? -

seems like they hate it also.And those who agree with the changes are baseing (justifying) their conclusions on the enemy wearing flak jackets, zombies don't have those do they? if so where's mine? -

Thank you (i'd almost shout thank the lord ;P ) for constructive critiscism rather than just blowing my question off as me not knowing arma2 nerfed the weapons and not dayz (as others have implied.) re: other arma related game/mods experiencing the nerf, i'd guess that as a yes. in other words yep, irrational as f* :D I truely hope so, the nerfing is too extreme. At 1st i considerd it to be a good move as in scarcity of ammo because you need more. This was when i had an akm and 15 clips for it, a G17 and an m1911 and the largest back pack (1 above alice), a tone of stacked food, 8 morphine etc etc Then i was sniped at my "base" where i'd collected a small arsenal but having gone 'naked' lonewolf again it now it seems a "bridge too far" I'd suggest pistol (if not rifles to) need about a 25% boost, not to original power but so 2 shot kills per pistol & certainly 1 shot to the torso per HIGH powered rifles ... OR.... maybe leg shot detection would be another option, shoot zeds in legs they go down at least. Could that balance the nerfing a little? I know this is possible as often you'll see zeds drop to the ground when shot from a distance of 150+ meters. -

No its not, Are you telling me that nearly half a million dayz players didn't factor into the recent patch? come out from under your rock for a minute, arma2 a 2010 game that was "fine" for all those years suddenly nerfs the crap out of weapons over 2 years later !!!! and you tell me that has nothing to do with DayZ?half a million players compared to what? 20,000 arma2 players? hmm i wonder who gets the attention.... Aside from that nowhere did i refer to the current nerfing as being attributed to dayz, what i did say was the current state of dayz can not successfully accomodate this nerfing. -

THIS is what i'm saying - (guns are nerfed too soon for the curreent mods state) as long as you have a decent main weapon the game is ok now but if you haven't you just aswell forget bothering to fight zeds unless 1 on 1. It is fine for a clan or group but the lone wolfs game is now broken. -

Are the majoriety of weapons worth having anymore? The game IS too clunky too work properly with the current direction this nerfing is leading toward. So much more needs to be fixed before trying this. I see the intention of nerfing weapons so zombies are more of a threat that i agree with ... on paper, just like this arma2, on paper it sounds the best engine but in reality/practice it is flawed to all hell. (inb4 the people who are going to say gtfo if you don't like the difficulty (as they convenantly forget they have vehicles full of weapons that actually "work" akm, dmr etc that they run to anytime they are killed.) The mod in its current state has too many issues - desync/lag, numerous clipping problems and the obvious knightmare that is arma2s inventory system. TRUELY Fix those then start tweaking the difficulty. (though i guess you are flogging the last mileage out of the mod before standalone?) Every patch has slowly stiffled the limited abilities of the engine. In short the weapons nerf is far too soon for the current state of the mods development. Side note. Those in clans/groups are enjoying the current patch direction (i would too if i had vehicles and near endless supllies) BUT those who lonewolf style are having an extremely difficult time, I'd be for this IF people actually did group up, maybe it will happen over time but having been sniped at North EAST airfield and shot in the back whilst carrying an AXE (he gottsa has that axe!) I doubt it. -

Yes, its not just you, this was reported (and discussed to death, check the previous patch thread) when the random distant view zombie was added in patch 1.7.2.3 (commonly know as eagle eyes).Its nothing new for 1.7.2.4. The downside conclusion of this addition was it had as good as negated the need for stealth tactical play due to there being little point spending 15+ minutes stealthing past a horde of zeds when 1 way off in a field WILL eventually spot you regardless of how discreet you were. Thus people were (are) abandoning the stealth aspect and just benny hilling (the term for running like a headless chicken with a stream of zeds following you regardless of gaining more followers) round and round and cheeseing zeds by running through buildings or other "cheesey" ways of loosing them that break the whole stealth mechanic of the game. -

no, bugged zombies on all 3 servers over a 4 hour period? every single 1?go on you can accept it, just say "i accept his experience, 12 hours ago, was that the m1911 killed in 1 shot" try it it won't hurt :D I killed almost 400 (79 headshots) zeds (not 1 murder i might add) on that char so i'd say i would know the difference - 300+ were pre 95389, the last 80 were 1.7.2.4 & 1.62.0.95839. The only explanation could be that because the m1911 was found pre update (as my char) it had not "gained" the new settings. -

Thanks for reply. but.. I am running 1.62.0.95839 (as I've said 5 times now) - I use six updater for arma2's updates so nothing is left out, i apply dayz version and i use commander as a back up i also can read and i'm not blind :) Cant people just accept my experience of the m1911 has been 1 shot kills. (no not headshots, tested over 80 zombies as many body shots as possible and on 95839 serverS (3 different servers) with patch 1.7.2.4.) end of. -

Anyone having realy laggy low fps since battleye update? I cant presume its the cause but since having logged back into the same server and its now meh. No matter what settings with all other apps off, before i could have settings at very high, firefox open with 3 or 4 tabs (dayz maps & dayzmod.com etc) AND watch a stream from netflix or twitch with 60fps avg. -

Iam fully aware of this http://dayzdb.com/ne...es-in-arma2-162 , I am not lieing, I can read version details and I am not blind so exactly what are you confused about when I say I have shot zombies using a m1911 anywhere on their body and they all were 1 shot kills. I have updated & logged to 3 or 4 servers and killed another 80 or so zeds with the m1911 & akm to make sure, all 1 shoty kills - FACT. My char and weapons were pre patch/update but this should not matter as I am & was on the current version this morning to make sure as I read the m1911 was nerfed last night yet was still 1 shot kills and again today after update. Why would i lie about this? just accept that i have experienced both akm & m1911 still 1 shotting with ARMA2_OA_Build_95389 & patch 1.7.2.4 on servers running 1.7.2.4 & update 95389, now its not difficult to understand is it? -

eh why didn't youtry to avoid a fire fight with a "gang" of 6 to save bullets and your life? its not Call of Medal Battlefield Honor Duty...... i guess eventually people will play this mod/game as if in a real apocalypse scenario where co operation would dramatically increase your life span rather than flipantly shooting at each other and murdering for absoulutely no reason. (In b 4 someone says "i wanted his items, i have xray vision and knew what was in his rucksack and although i shot him with a dmr from 100's of meters away i just had to have that superior enfield" yeah yeah if you weren't starving or needed meds for a friend then any other time is just a bs excuse. -

Just had this happen to me, been playing ok for 3 or more hours - have just managed to get into a server after being kicked 3 times in a row on 3 different servers. I was originally on a full server when i was kicked i think most of the server was aswell as there were only 5 or 6 people on it when i joined there were 33 and no doubt this had gone up as i joined around 9am. -

1911 are still 1 shot kills on zeds. aks 74 - 2 shots. akm - 1 shot. g17 - better off using the torch in an attempt to burn them or just blind them basically its cr4p, 5 non head shots. edit update for those who think i cant read. Current patch 1.7.2.4 & ARMA2_OA_Build_95389 and m1911 WAS still killing with 1 shot (and no not headshots). Having killed around 80 to make sure i can honestly say it was 1 shot kill anywhere on the zombies body. same with AKM 1 shot kill. I don't think its a server related as I tried 3 or 4 , i'm sure they all weren't stating 1.7.2.4 and recent update for the hell of it. My character was pre update and the m1911 was also pre update though I can't see how that would matter. nvm no doubt this post will get more people calling me a liar or similar. :) -

Seriously concerned about logging in the for the 4th attempt at getting a day light server (1am here) I'm using DAYZCommander but I guess its flawed as in just because the server is listed as daytime if its isn't commander has no way of distinguishing between the 2. Now theres external tweaks (Dayz screen, version etc) will we possibly see a Server UI overhaul? Vasically commander style but native and less flaws :) such as having to restart arma2 if you couldn't log in or need to change server when using commander as well actual day light recognition?
