Feasible way to tenfold the map size and server capacity
Shiro-Austin replied to Grodenn's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I am very interested with this idea, and I shall give you beans for it. However, it is not the kind of thing that I believe would work in a large first-person shooter such as ArmA. I am only an aspiring game developer so I am not actually sure if this is possible or not, TBH. I would love it to be in the game, but I feel the hit to performance, especially on weaker PCs such as mine, would be catastrophic. Thanks for the good read though Shiro-Austin. -
I have met up with Adam, what is your skype, I shall add you? Or you add me Shiro_Austin

Hello Adam, I died recently and would love some gear, and am happy to help you. I am a decent pilot too. In usual groups, I am the medic/pilot. Kinda like a MEDEVAC. If you are interested, contact me on skype: Shiro_Austin, or Steam: Shiro-Austin.

I'm a noob and need a friend.

I can help you there buddy, add me on skype Shiro_Austin, -
The main problems you have are your CPU and graphics card, consider upgrading your CPU to a i5-2500k, and the graphics card to a ASUS GT520 Silent. The CPU is roughly £160, and the graphics card around £25, that should bring you up to 30, and with a extra gig of RAM, you might get 40-50

A big thank you to those who make the game playable

I shall PM you my details now -
I definitely agree with this 100%. It fits into DayZ perfectly, and if done right, could completely transform the game.

Disable the abillity to remove plants from arma 2 [CHEATING]
Shiro-Austin replied to mrbean's topic in DayZ Mod Suggestions
I agree this is unfair and cheating, but it is very hard to take this away from the game. The ArmA 2 engine is so ridiculous easy to modify, meaning a lot of hacks etc. The only way to fix it, is so that people cannot play if they have any modified files other than the DayZ ones, which could cause more problems. -

This is fairly off-topic, can a mod either get this deleted or moved to the Off-Topic section please? -
looking for an l85
Shiro-Austin replied to aglax888@hotmail.com's topic in DayZ Mod General Discussion
As spotting weapons they are ideal, for the NV sight and Thermal. But for actually shooting, good luck shooting anything that isn't right in your face. -
I certainly do think that can openers are not a good idea, simply for the same reason other people have pointed out. You can open cans without them. Food expiration for meat is good, but not for canned food. Also, don't make the food expiration too short, a few days maybe. Also, stale food should not hurt you, maybe just restore 400 blood instead of 800?

I don't like it much because of it's low damage. I prefer the M4A1 CCO SD a lot. Although, the MP5SD6 is great for taking out zombies, I want to be able to defend myself against players too.

DayZ blood packs in the north?
Shiro-Austin replied to Darkkis (DayZ)'s topic in New Player Discussion
I do not think there are any blood bag spawns in-land. Fairly sure they are only in the hospitals which are in the big cities along the coast, like Chernogorsk/Elektrozovadsk -
We should play sometime :D You have my beans good sir,

DayZ Commander Update Problem
Shiro-Austin replied to Shiro-Austin's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Wow, the replies are so quick on these forums, you guys are amazing! I tried installing it manually, went wrong somewhere. I kept getting infinite loading screens :C So, I went back to DayZ Commander and it said the download was available, so I downloaded it. I'm afraid I can't test to see if it works because I'm off to work now. ~Shiro-Austin
