What do you do when Zombies attack?

What do I do when zombies attack me? I start cursing out loud because they are glitching through the damn buildings, dying and instantly respawning and coming after me again, hitting me from 10 feet away, and spotting me from 1000 freacking yards away, or using their magical zombie eyes to see through buildings.

FAO : Accolyte (Cheater video evidence)

Lol. "he's glitching".....says the pot calling the kettle black.

    Blu trees and grass

Did a search on google and th forums and cannot find a fix. I keep getting a graphics glitch where the tall grass and sometimes the tree leaves are mono color, usually a bright glowing light blue. I have tried several different settings, I have the latest drivers, but it still happens. Some times it depends if I'm in 3rd person, 1st person,ADSing.....but its random at best. Has anyone else experienced this and found a fix?

Are they breaking DayZ as we know it?

I'm not sure of the number of non-american players on here.......but many of you have this weird idea that guns have to be military grade to be effective in killing people (I know we are talking in game, and choices are limited atm). Rocket can easily make military grade guns rare in game, while putting more civilian weapons in the game. Here in good ol Merica, civilian weapons are not that different from military grade weapons, the main difference being semi-automatic compared to fully automatic. A civilian CAN own a fully auto weapon in the states, it just costs a wicked amount of money (the gun itself, the license to own one, and the ammo you'll go through lol). Even in real combat, fully auto is only used to send enough lead down range to make the other guy keep his head down. Soldier don't run around all call of duty firing at everyone on full auto. it's not accurate and it's a waste of ammo, not to mention the barrel gets hot as hell if you fire 4 or 5 mags back to back (which I suggest you try IRL, in the dark, with a couple dozen buddies, quite a sight to see hehe). Personally, I own an M1A, and AR-15, a Kel Tec KSG, XD45, and an XDS. I would take any of those weapons over the M9 and M4 I'm issued by the military. I can do just about anything I want to my own weapons, where as we get bitched at if we mess around with our "work" guns, because anything added isn't technically certified by the military. Hell, I took off the stupid popsicle sights on mine and through on what I wanted. Though I'm still required to keep those popsicle sights in my kit bag lol. Rocket just needs to add civilian versions of some of the military grade weapons. I think that would be great. Not as "good" (matter of opinion) as military grade, but still VERY capable of killing everything and everyone lol.

    less militarised more improvised

We need rope. Charlie Bronson had rope! Anyways, game should be 75% civilian/improvised weapons, 25% military grade. Military has an ass ton of stock piled weapons. So it wouldn't be a huge surprise that a lot of them would fall into survivors hands during the zombie apocalypse. Remember, there are also civilian versions of weapons. Who says you can't find an AR-15 in a house? Sure, it's a lot like it's military counter part but it has only semi-auto capability. Same with M40A5 and R700. Different versions of the same gun, one civilian one military. Obviously the military one has some upgrades such as barrel type and a few other things, but this could be translated into the game so there are still decent guns that are technically "civilian". Guns can be taken care of pretty easily too. People were still using stuff like birch oil to clean and lubricate there guns up until WWII, so I don't feel that lack of technology should be a factor in keeping the weapons in game in good condition. Obviously, ammo would start to become scarce. Reloads are useless if you don't have the means to manufacture gun powder (salt peter, sulfer, and charcoal is one form of black powder) and staying around to pick up brass doesn't seem the brightest idea. If one had a enterprising group of people who found a plant that has the needed chemicals and such, one can make more ammo without electricity and such, it would just a long time to mass produce. Game should be a good balance of end of the world stuff. Enough time has passed so things are scarce but not enough time has past where everyone has resorted to using sabers and muskets/cannons.

    trees and grass edges glowing

It depends on if I am in 3rd person, 1st person, weapon ready, weapon not ready. I know it has something to do with shadows because I tried every shadow setting from disabled to very high. I will use one that gets rid of the glowing around grass in 3rd person, then when I switch to 1st person and raise weapon the trees are suddenly glowing lol. Each time I changed the shadows setting it produced a similar but random result, depending on what I said in my first sentence above. Anyone have any ideas to help with this? Ambient occlusion is off atm, I played with different settings for other stuff, but so far changing shadow quality is all that effects it, and when one thing seems fixed another thing goes to hell.
  8. Why stop asking for more? If the game can handle it, which it can, add more. It just makes it more immersive and realistic. Not everyone will be running around with the same red and yellow fire axe in the apocalypse. They will find other weapons or fabricate ones themselves. Makes it more dynamic and personal. To many people are acting like 80 year old men not wanting to change the game they played years ago (dayz Mod) for no real reason. This isn't changing how people play the game, it isn't punishing KOSers or rewarding heros. It's simply giving people more options in the game to make a character like they want. You can argue as much as you want with me about what I am about to say, but this is an MMO. May not be fighting dark dragons and casting magic and stuff, but people still like to customize their players. The more items in game, the more intricate, the more realistic, the better the game becomes.
  9. not a bad idea. People will abuse system though like people have said. Might be more work than it's worth trying to balance the implementation of the idea and the stopping of those who would abuse it.
  10. Yeah, a compensator wouldn't do anything for a gun like this. Could help if they had one in game for the M4 Though. Wouldn't help with anything but burst firing or full auto though.

A little bit of customisation please.

It would be cool so people can recognize friends and not shoot them in the face on accident lol. Should only be body type, gender, face, and hair. Clothes and stuff should stick to be being found as usual.
  12. deepseamk21

    Suggestion: Rain Ponchos

sounds good to me. The more real life stuff in game the more immersive.
  13. I'm trying to get my BF4 clan into the game, but I won't let them play SA yet lol. I'll let them start on Epoch mod or vanilla dayz first.
