well I went back to the barn after the vid cuts out and the guy brought us an ATV and me and JAN drove off with it and he told me that "greedy" also gave him a bison, and you guys saying its not that rare, ive only found it once at a heli crash, i mostly find FALs, AS50s, and medic stuff

well he gave the other guy the same weapon and its one of the rarest guns in the game, and he just happened to have 2 on him?

So i try to join a server and I always get kicked and it says unknown game version.... I have all updated files so i dunno what's causing it... any ideas?

so I had a fresh spawn, near cherno and noticed a bright glow from the north east and went to go check it out... turns out a HU-EY Crashed (I think) I have a question though, is it a bug that the fire is so goddamn big? and the fire doesn't hurt you either it seems...

So I have gotten bored a and I was walkin around near stary when i came across a guy sitting at the edge of the forest with binoculars, so i came up behind him and unloaded my trusty makaroni into his head... he had a DMR on him and this was my first time finding one so i was like FUCK YEA! then a short while later i find a crashed heli north of stary, but it only spawned a CZ mag and a few tin cans so i was pretty bummed, so i head back into the trees and see a guy running along and he stops to make a fire so i take my DMR and but a few rounds into his back, and lo and behold! he had NVGs! the first time i have owned NVGs in my 3 months of game time so i was very happy, so i log into a night time server to test them out and immidiatly find a crashed heli, and this is the vid of me going to loot It. Its not all that special but the Zeds feel snackish.

tell me, would you walk in a circle for a few hours around a town patrolling it? in real life? probably because its necessary, but in a game I doubt it would be much fun.

i only read the first few pages but didn't read 4 - 11, but while i like the idea, I think there would be a problem. now, there's only 50 ppl on a server right? 15 - 20 of them have to liberate a town... and hold it. there's the potential problem, a town would need guards, people paroling to keep the peace, and 15 - 20 people would have to stay in the town at all times to keep the town liberated right? while i think its cool to role play as a guard and such, I think it would get very boring. If someone walk into the town with 15-20 ppl there and shoots someone yea hes gonna die, but what if hes doing it to just be a dick and doesn't care because he re spawns anyways? I do like the idea dont get me wrong, I just dont see it working, maybe if once a town is liberated 3 - 5 NPC guards could appear that you have to arm yourself? I dunno.

I agree with the whitetigershiro, even if you agrro a zed they are laughably easy to kill, sure they zig zag, but get use to it, they do it all the time and the back pedeling stop and shoot tactic works perfectly fine, and if you have to bullet find a steep incline and they fall to their doom. and you said you dont like shooting a zed in Cherno and having them all come... theres a simple solution.... dont go to fucking cherno or electro. I have been alive for 25 days now, I still havnt found a DMR, Heli crash or NVGs yet I survive.... i have hundreds of zed kills, its really not that hard....

any idea when the update is coming?

A problem that I foresee with this is that people with various degrees of sniper rifles will camp the airfields even more since its pretty much the only place you can land. So picture this, assuming we have to repair a plane, you go through all the work, land it in Balota airfield, and while your coming to a stop, POW right through the windshield and you have now lost your plane.... Don't get me wrong I love you idea (see the first post on this thread) I'm just saying that this would most likely happen.

I logged into a server and my drink icon was flashing so I take a drink from my water bottle... I had to log out for a few min because I had to do something and I came back after 10 min, when i logged back in my icon was still flashing but my water bottle was empty. I had bad frame rate so I tried a different server and then my water icon was flashing again so I drink the second bottle i had. I'm playing for about 10 min and I crash for no reasons (just ARMA 2 OA has stopped working) when i get back in low and behold my water bottle icon is flashing again...... and now I have no water to get me back to civilization....

I have the same problem

does anyone know how much bandwidth DayZ uses?
