  2. Can't play for shit, ran the updater, did everything and everytime I try to join the server I see the lobby for half a second and it kicks me back out to the server browser, the hell is this crap.

    Tent protection

It's protected as long as it's hidden, there is no way to make it impenetrable unless you wall it off with a lot of wire and even then people can server hop into it.

    So BattlEye saved me today

In Arma 2, BattlEye ALT F4's for you!
  5. Easy fix, a ton of sandboxes I've played had this in them. What is this mysterious feature ? A way to revive fallen allies. The game already has blood bags in but really, I find myself not using them, at ALL. I would rather safely hunt animals and eat until maxed out than go in a hospital and risk getting shot for a blood bag that I then need to find someone to apply the damn thing to me. A way of reviving would improve group play by a LOT, who likes to die ? Not a whole lot of people, so guess what they do, they kill everyone on sight, but if you rolled with someone and you run into another group of players that are hostile and then one of them kills you but your friend manages to kill them he could then come and revive you. Now you could add random death penalty that would apply each time you are revived and would stack like, slower running speed, less inventory space(carrying weight if weight is ever implemented in which I hope it is), decrease in accuracy, lower max health. You could also make it possible to cure some of them by doing tasks (Much like Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater for the people that have played it) where a deep wound would lower your maximum health but then could be cured by using a bandage, suture kit and disinfecting the wound. I honestly think that yes the game should be hard (I also think the zombies should be way more of a threat) but the last thing anyone want is dying. Please go ahead and comment on how you would balance this.
  6. 5 minutes ago a hacker just teleported everyone on the server to the north east airfield, there was a bunch of hacked in vehicules there too, Alt F4's as soon as possible. This is killing DayZ.

Please For The Love of God.

It happened to me by mistake, sometime when I alt-tab back in the game it clicks, most of the time it shoots my gun but sometime I have it on the pause menu, and I had my mouse over the respawn button once T_T

Clan locking server ..to farm gear ... ?

I wouldn't give much shits if they weren't connected to the hive. It just means they can safely go to stary and whatnot, farm guns, hop on a full server and then go to town and kill everyone, these needs to be shut down ASAP. This is the biggest problem with DayZ, player hosted servers that are connected to the hive, there is a ton of cheating, admin abuse and lowlives like these people everywhere, IT IS A PROBLEM. There needs to be official DayZ trusted servers that are moderated by the DayZ team.

    UK16 Doesn't exists anymore ?

Well I just realised that it is hosted by Vilayer.com http://arma2.swec.se/server/data/257681 so maybe the host took it down while Vilayer is taking their sweet time to update.
  10. My home server just dissapeared, it has been offline for 3 days now, I had finally got tents to work and then server goes down and never comes back on T_T.
  11. Nah, he told me he's had those blanks for a little while and he's been wanting to do a prank like this though he never had the chance. Dangerous prank though, could have had rust or something in the barrel and it could have hurt me, oh well, didn't happen.
  12. So yesterday I backstabbed my friend for fun (we do that often for no reason) but he reacted differently than usual, usually we laugh it off and I we give ourselves the stuff back. But he just left ventrilo. This morning at around 8am I hear someone kicking at my door so I go check, it was my friend (he's a close friend who lives in the same town as I do) I open the door to find myself at the end of a shotgun's barrel, my friend yells at me to get back into the kitchen. Once in the kitchen he tells me that I should give him all my stuff, I ask him what is wrong and why he is acting like this, he pulls the trigger. Shotgun goes off but nothing but sound comes out, next second I see my friend laughing on the floor as he's struggling to tell me it was a blank. God I thought I was a goner...... Real life DayZ.

    WORST SCARE EVAR! not joking...

Would never scare me, zombies don't spawn in forests. The game becomes a lot less scarier/oh shit i need to survive once you know the mechanics and what to do. I used to camp cherno all day and find nothing, and now, I just book it for Stary on a 1/40 night server and loot and then hop on a full server and go deathmatch, funny how things change.
  14. For example I decide to set my server to be Virginia 20 and only play on that server. If I set down a tent and log off near it and then log back on the same server like 6 hours later, will it still be there ? Will the loot that I have put into said tent still be there ? If I drop stuff on the ground, like a campfire, or just a backpack so I can use said backpack as a makeshift chest, will it be there forever ? I do know that stuff is meant to despawn when the player dies. I am asking this because I do feel like making little player-made settlements that Bandits can raid or just a place where people can call "home" is necessary. I am also asking this because I play with a group of friend, and we generally log off in the same spot and only play when everyone is on. I want to change that, if we had a place where we could drop off stuff, people could be able to play by themselves and if they die, oh well, but if they find something at least they can ferry it back because right now, everyone of us is completely full on food/ammo :( I really don't like being nomad :/ I did look at the thread made by Tygrys (http://dayzmod.com/forum/showthread.php?tid=1362&highlight=tents) but some stuff still is unclear to me so I would like really in detail info about being able to make a "base". Ok well I did some testing (doesn't have a tent yet so I didn't test any of that) I dropped a flare (unlit) and a can of sardine on the ground next to a tree then logged off, came back 15 minutes later and it was gone. So dropping items doesn't save when you log off ( I don't know if they do for as long as you are online though) As for backpacks being used as chests, I assume they would find the same faith as my dear flares and sardines :*( I can't really try to test out tents right now as I don't want to wander off the designed log off zone set by my friends to find one. I really do hope I set some kind of persistent chest system because I really hate to always carry all this stuff with me when I just want a home to go feed myself to.
