You misunderstand what I think,not a server hosting the only whitelist as you say that isn't ideal no. I think a thread in these forums with admins who have whitelisted players and whom they trust, would just create a large list of guid's no names nothing that could easily be copy pasted to the whitelist txt file. Of cousre, hackers will always get through security, but dayz has a good active server admin unity. Then others coming here could simply grab the list of players they don't have (all the servers they don't run) and add them to theirs. Server owners who have added their trusted list could then use other trusted lists and just add them to theirs. Adding CWL or something similar to the server names, allows people to know (if they actually use this forum) if they are eligible to play. Could save a lot of administering because everyone would have everyones lists, some might see this as getting other players for their server but if people want to leave they will anyway. It would give players a much easier way of gaining access to servers because they know they are on the trusted list and just need to search for the servers they know they will be listed on. Just a thought and probably a bit late considering how close stand alone is but; I don't think it's a bad idea all the same. I probably agree with you about doubting if it could work.

I have guid's I'd put forward no problem and without fear of hacking now or in the future. I don't see a bad reason for having a community whitelist, that we the un-hacking create? One or two people to cimbine it, sure but not have sole access to, think of the wikipedia idea. Sure anyone can add to it, but it can be policed. Would just need someone to organise the list with new and removed names. Criteria like posting here more than once, having someone else vouch for you etc. The hive - with stored data - is completely different from a community policed/enforced whitelist, surely?

No admin abuse here either, my team mates are made to run around looking for the Helicopters, I'm not making it easy for them!

A community whitelist, players that are trusted and added to the list by admins would be nice. Regardless of hive it would give all the server admins names to add so that when a private hive goes up there is a potential for anyone who is trusted in the community to join. It wouldn't guarantee a player base but gives all those legit players a chance if they like. Adding something to the server name like CWL would allow us all to know is we are all able to join. That would be nice and good for us all i think!

Hey lewis, what do you mean by implement through the server.pbo? What needs to change within that? I'm assuming nothing if you dont change the target files within the addons in the actual mod folder? I'm probably completely wrong tho! I'm also trying to edit different weapons onto our private hive, it's the server side of things i'm unsure of how to implement.

Hello fellow survivors, The guys in our squad are fed up with hackers destroying our servers, we, like the rest of you enjoy the fear of being killed by bandits, the excitement of having repaired a vehicle and raiding chernarus for all it's worth! We have decided to lock down our private hive server, have it reset so that everything is back to square one and to keep it passworded ensuring a fair experience for all players. We have, as of today, reset the hive, implemented the community fixes that work, like auto saving tents/vehicles to stop duping, helicopter crash site smoke and fuel saving after restarts amongst others. We extend an invitation over the DayZ official forums to players who are sick of duping and cheaters. We welcome squads, Bandits or Heroes to come and play as it was intended by Rocket. Our server runs the bliss hive and has the more popular Veteran setting running. I have reason to believe that two helicopters spawn on this hive, including new areas for vehicles. It also includes the latest battleye scripts and Antihax 0.5. We would appreciate having more players on the server, as a passworded server, getting all vehicles and raiding towns is boring without a challenge. Would people from the UK and Europe be interested in helping make our server a hacker free and busy server? At the moment it is only a 30 slot server, but if interest grows this could be increased we are just fed up with one cheater coming into the server, teleporting all the vehicles and wrecking our server (Within 6 hours of it being online!). Your GFX says to me your running on a laptop? Solution 1, use a desktop PC, Solution 2, if 1 isn't the case, turn down the gfx settings....

I will be sending out the PW shortly, I really thought I'd get more interest, for this who have posted I have had 2 PM's from people so there are more interested and I also have other people who will be joining but are not part of our squad. I am also looking into getting whitelist installed to make it easier to manage players. Nobody else!?
