  1. I agree to all that has been said but tbh I think the timer should be more like 30-60 minutes rather than 5. Same could go for loot in the village.

    If not fixing the night then please have perma-day servers for those of us who just can't cope with the night being so dark. Throwing flares just gets us killed and so does any other light source. If zombies didn't aggro light at all then I'd be fine with it to be honest.

    Rofl..You really think they work perfectly fine? Why don't we make them into torpedoes instead and make them blow anything up on impact..That fine with you too? Seriously though, you are one easy man to please. Everyone agrees that the zeds in their current state are very broken and should be priority #1 IMO.

    I've been hiking long hikes through forests in PITCH BLACK darkness in real life. I've done it many times and any soldier has. Did we like it? No it was nearly impossible at times. I once got a twig up my eye socket while running in the wood in darkness like this. These were only patrol hikes around our camp for a few hours. When we got back, another patrol would take our spot and we would go to sleep. But it was only this dark when you are inside a thick forest on a cloudy night. If it is true that you can see during a clear sky in this game (I've never experienced a night where I saw a damn thing) then I'm all up for that..Remove clouds during nights. Also gives us a chance to exploit that north star more.

    Btw how do you keep warm? Do you need to find matches to play this game now? Any way to enter tents? Did you greatly increase spawn of matches at least then? Thanks for a great update. :)

    Game would be perfectly playable at night if the zombies were NOT attracted to light at ALL. It simply shouldn't affect their aggro at all.

    Hey. Do I understand it correctly that when you have a tent, it is tied to the server you set it up on and if you die, you cannot reclaim your tent, only the items inside it? Are tents also bugged so that half of the time it won't work or as the wiki puts it: ''server eats your tent''?
  10. Am I the only one who gets so vivid with this game that I might get depressed after dying and really have shakes for a while after? I get so involved with my characters story that I actually feel like it's a dream and I am this character.. And when my characters meets an abrupt demise, I just get really emotional. I'm not good with scary games because they are so vivid for me but this game... Here's a long story I wrote to my friend on skype to show him how the game is: Me and my friend navigated for 1 hour to find eachother and you navigate exactly like in the army with landmarks and stuff.. And when we did he was bleeding after a fightand he needed a blood bag. Now I knew there was a hospital like 4 kilometers away and we started hiking there but it got dark and when it gets dark in this game its like in the forest in the army, you see NOTHING. So I navigated somehow through the trees and used everything I could to find my location, even listened to if I was walking over a road or on grass because you can't even see under your feet its so dark.. And in the end my friend kept fainting from blood loss and the hospital was still about 1 km away. I told him to wait in the tree line and I booked it to the hospital. But there were like 40 zombies around the hospital. I crawled my way through and as I couldn't see them, I had to navigate by their moans in my headphones. I reached the hospital and we were lucky and there was a blood bag. I booked it down but the hospital started getting surrounded so I got down and crawled to the edge of the town and out into the trees but there were about 20 zombies in that tree line and I didnt know where to turn. Then one spotted me and ran after me and I ran out into another tree line that was clear and shot him far away from the others so they couldnt see me or smell me (they can in this game if you shoot too close, they hear the sound and chase you if they see you). But he knocked me down and started biting me, I got up again and killed him but was bleeding heavily. I grabbed my bandage and started bandaging myself to stop the bleeding but I died from blood loss at the same time. I got so emotional over this that I can't fall asleep or anything.. It's really weird. Am I the only one? :$
  11. When navigating, I've noticed that I've walked under several electrical lines that were not mapped. Electrical lines are as vital as roads when navigating so I've sometimes been confused with my position because of this. I have never got my hands on a map in the game but I'm guessing it's the exact same as this one: http://avidblur.com/arma2/ This map is also missing a ruler for centimeters, but I'm guessing it's a 2cm map. Being able to measure distance is also a vital part to navigation. I also suggest that new players start out with a map instead of having to look for them. Alt tabbing just ruins my experience and I really need the map to enjoy the game as navigation is my #1 thing to do in this game. The compass can still be found. If I could map 100meters from object A to object B then I could walk there and remember how many steps it takes in order to navigate easier. I don't know how many times I've overshot because I missed a landmark. Actually had a bus stop once that I never found (the one on the small landroad about a kilometer right of the Tapolka Dam).     Thanks for your responses guys.. It's weird to hear that the army plays video games. I was in the army (not in USA) and there were no video games lol. But this is the closest thing you can get to reality in my opinion. I am right handed. Is this dangerous??

    Fast vs Slow Zombies

    I'm definitively for slower zombies.. It's impossible to shoot them at this speed. I want to clip a zombie in the face and get on with my business.. Whether my business is clipping another one in the face or realize that I am royally screwed and book it. There are WAY too many zombies for them to be this fast. If they would simply waddle towards you at 50% speed you would still come out at an economical loss by all the bullets you spent and they might even still get you since there's no way you can shoot them all just standing still. You'd have to kite them. So what if the zombies would no longer pose a serious threat? The players sure as hell would when they hear all that gun fire giving up your position. And the zombies would still pose a threat when you are inside buildings as they could block you in. Also, they could simply circle around you. Good luck kiting then. Increase their damage by 3fold or so as well would balance it.
  19. I started playing this game with my friend yesterday and we've played it for about 12 hours...It's really good and we had a lot of good times and experiences. However, the AI seems unpredictable at times as we witnessed when we were scavenging in a small town with about 5 zombies. We went in stealth mode and tried to grab some supplies but a zombie pretty far away (maybe spawned there since we didn't see him before and we tried scouting really well) just starting sprinting towards us and we had to put it down. That alerted about 20 zombies all around the area that we didn't even know were there.. I'm guessing it spawns all zombies in a 500 meter radius or something when you shoot.. Needless to say, our adventure was cut short. There should be SOME way to salvage a situation like that other than just sprinting and glitching them (like I did in the end but my friend got his bones broken and was devoured). I feel that sprinting zombies are a little TOO dangerous in this game. They should rather wobble and we should be able to sprint away from them but of course attracting more zombies along the way. This could be balanced by adding more damage to their attacks. The danger would be in the fact that when you enter buildings to scavenge the zombies could swarm you while you are inside and therefore blocking your entrance.. Me and my buddy only had just about enough bullets to kill these zombies that we encountered, but maybe not because of the next issue: The zombies zig zag and avoid your bullets like ninjas. They sprint so fast that you can't get a shot off before they are in your face.. That's why I think that their speed needs to be fixed. Now they could chase you but only so far.. We don't want zombies to be underpowered but having your adventure cut short because the AI is a little off is disappointing indeed. I don't know if there's a way to fix the fact that they die like 2 seconds AFTER you shoot them.. Making us spend too many bullets because they are still squirming when they are technically dead (and still do damage). In the zombie movies we see, people walk in, shoot the zombies in the way in the head, grab what they can and then leg it to the car. Now I don't think everyone should have a car but maybe having bicycles readily available for most people would solve this as you could hop on your bike and be off..Well something to get away from the horde that's chasing you.. SOME way to salvage the situation.. This is perma death and that's awesome. But it's not so awesome getting jackhammered by 30 super speed zombies that you can't kill because they dodge your bullets and sometimes don't even care, the bullets seem to go through them.. The shooting system is very much off I have to say. But these are only criticizing points. This game is the best I have played in my life even though it's in Alpha stage and with these issues.. With this issues addressed, this game would be a complete masterpiece! A video that shows a similar thing happening: At 4:30. They enter a town which seems deserted and then zombies pour out from EVERYWHERE before even a shot is fired.. The even come from behind them up the hills.. And there's like 40 of them. These are impossible odds, even for that many players.
  20. Like every server is stuck somewhere in the loading process and when we finally get in, we lag like mad.. Is it always like this or is this just today? :S This is not only me since every player in the chat is complaining about it.
