There is a reason why 1.7.2.5 is not on SIX Launcher. It wasn't meant to be distributed to a broad audience. Rocket explicitly asked to not distribute it. In Play with SIX wich is the new tool from SIX, you can also use experimental builds such as 1.7.2.5. Basicly SIX Launcher was put together in one weekend to provide DayZ Players with an easy interface to install and update DayZ. It had a very short dev time. Since then we've been working on Play with SIX wich currently is in a community preview. We've ironed out a lot of issues and bugs as well improved interface dramaticly. In addition to that we improved the serverbrowser, added support for all Arma mods, added a real buddy system, private and group chats and much more. If you want to have a look, go to http://play.withsix.com :) Also talking about coding skills without any knowledge is plain silly. SIX Launcher was put together in a few days while DayZ Commander was put together in several weeks. In addition to that SIX has much more features in the background like differential file transfer. So you actually only download the bits that changed and not the whole files. Sickboy, the guy behind SIX, has done the CBA mod (wich is integral part of DayZ), has been the major force behind ACE wich DayZ uses partially as well, and much other stuff. And don't forget the mirrors SIX is providing for the community for mods etc. Comparing SIX and DayZ Commander on that level is simply impossible. They're not in the same league.

The questionmark means that your IP isn't recognized in our database with a geolocation. Also try Play with SIX. The serverbrowser is much more advanced.

1.7.2.5 is not pushed trough SIX Launcher due to request of Rocket. However Play with SIX has the ability to use experimental builds such as 1.7.2.5 and is much more advanced than SIX Launcher. :) Go and check it out now!

Use Play with SIX. It's much better and supports several versions together with differential file transfers. This means it'll only downloads the changed bits and not entire files. Also it has a reliable buddy system as well as private and groupchats. :) http://play.withsix.com

You can also use your STEAM overlay with SIX Launcher or "Play with SIX". No problem. Just launching Arma2 won't help you with DayZ. :)

However there are things in there that might trigger AV products. Such as the options to launch trough steam and other stuff. However there is NOTHING dangerous in there.

To answer the question: You'd need to create a new account (only if you want to use the social features that is). It'll then give you a buddy list, private chats, group chats and much more. :)

What exactly doesn't work? SIX Launcher only serves 1.7.2.4 because 2.5 is NOT meant to be stable and Rocket asked us to not serve it. However "Play with SIX" enables you to use experimental releases e.g. 1.7.2.5

1.7.2.5 is not supposed to be the latest stable release of DayZ. Using this patch is not recommended at all. Rocket asked us to not server 1.7.2.5 on SIX Launcher because he is working on a more stable release. However Rocket allowed us to serve 1.7.2.5 e.g. as an experimental build trough "Play with SIX" the next version of SIX Launcher wich itself is still in community preview.
