They are looking at differing methods to distinguish players in the future, it was a nice skin aesthetically but it didn't really fit in with the surroundings; desert camo in a forest!

They shouldn't necessarily remove the AS50 or M107, they are used in real life but obviously aren't fired 'from the hip' so to speak. Rifles such as the L115 should be added as the ultra-long range weapons, imo there should be a decrease in long-range weaponry and an increase in close-mid range weapons to encourage CQC and discourage camping, i.e. remove a sniper or two and add a few SMGs.

Is anyone else being asked for an FTP login upon trying to download the newest beta patches off the ArmA 2 website? Six updater seems to be doing everything fine, but I prefer to do it manually.

Character on day 30, M107 + L85 AWS, food, ammo, full set of tools including NVGs and RF (except radio), ghillie, coyote, G17, few hundred zombie kills and quite a few player kills then I clicked respawn after maximising. Oh and I accidentally vaulted into a car and died, that one wasn't too fun.

You should take a look at what has already been done and other suggestion posts before posting a wall like this. Many of your suggestions have already been implemented, read the patch notes and revise your list one of many things already in the game, more or less. The majority of the things you have said cannot be done due to limitations with the ArmA 2 game engine such as smoothing out zombie animations, they won't ever be as smooth as, say, Left 4 Dead. Also wind direction on bullet drops, inventory changes etc are all part of the engine.

Happened to me on my 30 day character, alt-tabbed out with menu open. Sometimes respawn is highlighted on the menu leading to you accidentally kiling yourself, or if you click rather than alt-tabbing back in there is a chance that you click respawn when it loads back up.

L85 AWS spawns on chopper crashes, it is not hacked in. Having used one for around a month I'd agree that they should be removed, it makes it far too easy to spot players at long ranges and made it impossible for anyone to sneak up on me, especially since several of the people in our group had/have them. It nullifies the effectiveness of moving slowly or wearing camo and trying to hide.

Sorry for the late reply, been away. It was on US153 I believe, we had a lengthy war with the clan who own the server which involved a lot of vehicle stealing.

Some servers have more zombies than others, whether it be due to more players being near spawn points or the server being glitched etc. Items are completely random, all based on chance, as shown by this table (sort of a cheat sheet so up to you if you want to look at it) http://picacid.com/arma2/loot_en.html

It wasn't in debug forest though. He most likely alt-f4'd after dying which can cause the body to glitch and disappear, happens quite a lot unfortunately.

You should at least give some proper feedback rather than just making a completely generalised sweeping statement. Interesting idea, but the fact that it is so chance based make it based completely on luck - and many people are prepared to play that chance. Also, we will always go back to the fact that many murders are from returning fire so things like 'chance to commit suicide' wouldn't work.

L85 AWS M107 G17 Ghillie, GPS, RF, NVGs etc... Full set of supplies & tools. On about day 32, accidentally clicked respawn when i alt-tabbed out but recovered gear. And no, i don't alt-f4 out, I prefer going back to the bean/flashlight wars.

I clicked respawn on my day 30 character, that was an interesting one... I've never come across any trees like this, but don't get me started on ladders

You should try doing heli crash site runs if your after an AS50/M107, we've found quite a few doing that.

Quick question, are you using a laptop or desktop? If it's a laptop then chances are you won't be able to upgrade due to your integrated graphics. You could pick up a GTX 460, I use one and it runs ArmA 2 and other games pretty solidly on high graphics, cost about £120 when i got it. But have a look at review for some of the newer low-budget cards.

Not the best thing for player killing, but remember that when you aim down the ironsights the bolt goes just above where the aim is, they aren't really efficient due to the fact that 1 shot = 1 slot. Although it is a nice, silent alternative

If it says 1-A1 or other military type phrasing it's not actually someone speaking in side chat, it's an in-game command coming up due to a glitch.

Rocket isn't a fan of servers being locked down for players to loot farm etc, so if you have your own server, keep it unlocked. You aren't meant to kick people unless you have a valid reason (i.e. hacking) but there isn't any reason to not get your own server unless you meant to lock it down and anyway, whats the fun of DayZ without other people!

It might be temporarily down for maintenance or a reset so wait a while and it may come back up. There is a possibility it's been taken down completely by the hosts, or that it has changed name but you'd have to check the servers forums/teamspeak for that kind of info.

Download the teamspeak client. When in the client click connect and put the address in and password if required, as well as your username then you should be good to go.

We used satchels found in their tents, they're a 0.19% in barracks usually and are labelled as pipe bombs. And the gear we found was enough to make all of your wildest dayz dreams come true.

It'll be a hacker thats spawned it into the game so if you have a name/screenshot send it to the devs, or even a server name would help. But yeah, it definitely shouldn't be there.

You have to be aiming at them, if they have poor humanity you'll hear a clear heartbeat, the louder it is, the lower their humanity is, so if the sound is faint they won't be as much of a risk (sort of)
