In terms of checking your router settings, have you tried forwarding the following ports; port 2302 UDP ArmA2 game network communication. port+1 2303 UDP Gamespy public server reporting. port+3 2305 UDP Voice Over Net transmission. It seems to be an issue with your internet so there could be something that has begun to restrict your internet, check your firewalls or other programs that could be hindering this. Also, did anything trigger this change other than losing connection? Such as installing a beta patch? You could also try running it as admin or in compatibility mode, long shots but sometimes they do work. Also, have you tried restarting your router? Or unplugging it for a bit then rebooting it?

Try changing the binding away from shift. Double tapping shift toggles between walking and jogging, while holding it does so as long as you press the button. Could have something to do with the way you press the button? Also, check stickykeys.

Do you have the game on steam? If so, try going onto properties and 'Verify integrity of game cache files'. Does it give you an error when you are kicked?

Vehicles only respawn when left unused for a week, or if they are destroyed. Sometimes servers can restart to an earlier point and so vehicles are rolled back to a different point on the map, however, vehicles get stolen A LOT even when far away from any city; many people take time to search forests (particularly in the north) for camps and vehicles. A standard server restart should not, however, remove your vehicles, although it can remove them until the next server restart occasionally.

All vehicles have to be repaired and refueled before they can be used. For a bus you'll need 4 wheels, fueltank parts, scrap metal and engine parts, as well as a jerry can to fill it up a bit.

On the map a 'man' is a zombie, it will come up orange. Anything blue and labelled 'survivor', 'rifleman' or 'sniper' (survivor in ghillie) is another player. They are triggered by you sighting them, and fade as time passes to show their last known location' as they most likely will have moved. It is not actually the GPS that shows this, the GPS simply provides you with an exact location when markers are not enabled, it all depends on the server settings as some have markers enabled and some do not. As for putting a marker on the map, you can shift-click to set a waypoint, as for map markers; everyone in the server has access to command chat etc. so putting a marker down is not always safe. Your best bet is to write down the co-ordinates on a piece of paper.

No, guns do not switch from semi to full by themselves, they may sometimes if you take out binocs/rangefinders or change weapon to your sidearm.

They are gradually working on improving the zombie mechanics, melee attacks were not built into vanilla ArmA 2 so had to be added and the engine poses problems with the pathing of zombies (zig-zagging towards you). Eventually zombies will be able to run inside as well as outside and pose far more of a threat. As for dealing with them, running through bushes or round corners can get rid of them following you and as long as you keep running they cannot hit you. As for buildings, just stay out of the smallest ones when you have a horde after you and you'll be fine - it used to be much worse.

It's adding new terrains and some new mechanics, although whether Rocket will take advantage of new features is unknown. One of the screenshots seems to show some sort of flooding which would be great if it was dynamic.

Unfortunately the DayZ team don't do many (if any) character resets anymore. Try respawning a few times on a different server and if you have no luck you can try contacting the team.

Try going up to where the window is broken and press v to try and vault out or try breaking another window, otherwise you could try changing servers to smash the glass and escape.

Your GPU is the only thing letting you down, but tweak a few settings and you should be able to run DayZ at an ok framerate. Try a few of these: Set your Video Memory in the in-game options to DEFAULT (not high, med, low etc..) Set 3D/Interface resolutions to the same setting, don't have them differing and try and get them as close to native as possible without large performance dips Set shaders to very high (poor optimisation on other settings) Post processing to the lowest possible setting Turn AA down Visibility down

Logs can show who killed who to combat hackers. However showing it for everyone would remove an element from the game, i.e. the person you're teaming up with if you do it all in-game could be the same person that sniped you a few days ago and you have no idea. I'd have to say no.

If you set up a tent on server A, put stuff in and go back to server A the next day, as long as someone hasn't raided your tent, your items should be there. Although make sure you save the tent once you have initially set it up and placed items in. The tent will only be on the server you set it up on (otherwise chernarus would be covered in them!) You can find camo clothing and ghillie suits in any residential buildings i.e. churches, supermarkets or on heli crash sites. You get an item then right-click and wear clothing. Flares; have them in your inventory and press f to switch to them, then click to throw just as you would a grenade or can. Hope this helps.

@Jorden He's requesting that the skin be put back into the game as a skin for people to find and wear rather than asking about the bandit skin.
