dayz_anim' requires addon 'CAMisc_fix_A2FREE
Aftershok replied to RedLlama's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Are you running the retail or free version of ArmA 2? If you are running ArmA 2 Free check that you followed the instructions for installing with ArmA 2 Free rather than installation with ArmA 2 retail. -
Ok so; You are certain you are running 'COMBINED OPERATIONS' through steam by right-clicking ArmA 2 : Operation Arrowhead and pressing Launch Combined Operations? Ensure that inside the @Dayz/Addons folder you have all of the files required and that you have the newest beta patch installed, then add this to your Steam 'Launch Options' box "-mod=@dayz -beta=Expansion\beta;ca;Expansion\beta\Expansion". You're also going to want to do a fresh install of all of your video drivers; As you are running a GTX 670m you'll be running NVIDIA drivers, first of all go to http://www.nvidia.co...aspx?lang=en-uk and select and download your card's newest drivers. After this follow these steps: 1) Go into your Control Panel 2) Double-click the Add/Remove Programs icon 3) Select the NVIDIA Windows Display Drivers from the list of programs. 4) Click Change/Remove or Add/Remove button. 5) Confirm with Windows that you wish to continue with the uninstall Restart your computer and install the newly downloaded drivers (note that uninstalling your video drivers will change your display settings and likely bump you down to a low resolution). Also try a manual reinstall of battleye, delete the battleye folder in your ArmA 2 folders and install the newest client files from www.battleye.com Note that DayZ is a FREE mod that the team give their time up to run, it is in no way directly endorsed by BIS, the product you bought was ArmA 2, not DayZ.

Error : Addon 'Dayz_anim' requires addon 'CA_Anims_E'
Aftershok replied to nikko20's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Try running it without six launcher, Use this guide; http://www.dayzwiki.com/wiki/index.php?title=How_to_install_DayZ and install DayZ MANUALLY, then try. Quite a few people have issues with six launcher, i run it all manually and haven't had any major problems so far. -
In all honesty your pc isn't good enough to get decent framerates on ArmA 2. You're running a pretty old spec rig, and running 20 fps on minecraft isn't too great a benchmark. Try updating all your video drivers and running at the lowest possible res, but unfortunately you'll probably be looking at an upgrade to run the game on high rates.
-
Ok your stats are fine to run the game, just had to check. Ensure you are running the latest drivers for your GPU, check that you are running both steam and ArmA2OA.exe as administrator. Also, there could be a conflict between sixlauncher and your PC so try using alternate methods to launch the game. Check you have an @DayZ folder, inside that there should be a folder called Addons within which the DayZ files should be. If they are there make a new shortcut and add -mod=@Dayz and run the shortcut to launch manually.

Could you post your system specs?

DayZ not working.....idk why
Aftershok replied to slightly_sinister's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
What is the specific error code that is preventing it from running? Do you have -mod=@dayz in your startup line? Just to check, make sure your files are in the @DayZ/Addons folder, not just in the @DayZ folder -
Do a steam 'verify integrity of game cache files', the file could be corrupt.
-
Patches such as 1.6 or 1.61 are ArmA 2 retail patches and are the 'stable', main releases that BIS provide for the game. Patches such as 953434 are beta patches which make smaller changes and which are sometimes unstable that are not used by all servers, but many choose to run them. If you're planning on running DayZ you'll need the newest beta patches to access every server.
-
If you are using steam right-click on ArmA 2 OA and press reinstall battleye client. Try that, otherwise go to www.battleye.com and manually install the newest version.
-
You have been kicked from game/ bad version
Aftershok replied to Dizzykills's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Try verifying integrity of game cache files and reinstalling the latest beta patch. Also, run ARMA2OA/Steam as admin, it works wonders (sometimes). -
Unfortunately, being an alpha, the game does things like this sometimes. Does it happen on every server or one particular one? Try joining a few different ones. Otherwise, depending on whether you want to lose your gear, click respawn. You could probably run back to your body and pick up your gear if you know the location.
-
What versions of the game have you installed? (ArmA 2 Retail or ArmA 2 Free etc..) If you are running through steam run steam as an administrator to see whether this changes as it seems to be a fix for several people with similar problems. Also, try running the ARMA2OA.exe as admin.

DayZ Commander is loading for a sec then nothing
Aftershok replied to Daigoro's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Try using six updater rather than DayZ commander and see if the problem persists, it could be an incompatibility issue that will not appear with another program. Also, you may not be running it as administrator, ensure that when you press 'properties' and compatibility the box regarding running as admin is ticked. EDIT: Try installing/reinstalling the latest beta patch as this could have something to do with the change. -
Guessing you used google translate here, so i've done my best trying to figure it out. If the installation on NET Framework is failing, try a manual install from here; http://www.microsoft...s.aspx?id=17718 After that delet the installscript file from the steamapps/common/arma2oa folder to prevent it doing a first time setup again.

Error : Addon 'Dayz_anim' requires addon 'CA_Anims_E'
Aftershok replied to nikko20's topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
Try doing a 'Verify integrity of game cache files' on steam. Is this a new problem? It could be associated with the new beta patch so try rolling back a patch, or reinstalling the beta patch. -
If your backpack is big enough, take both. I almost always carry 2 weapons. In my opinion the AKM is good if you're going it alone as it has strong stopping power and can be zeroed, or the Bizon if you're in a group, or just prefer being sneaky, as a silenced weapon is always handy.
-
Now that is a new one, can't say anything that ridiculous has ever happened to me. Every now and again HIVE does something strange, was this respawning on the same server? If you feel that bad about it click respawn, but otherwise go have some fun!

HELP! Having HIGH PING on one specific server!
Aftershok replied to Austinn's topic in New Player Discussion
What is your location in relation to the servers location? The further you are the higher your ping. Otherwise it could be a temporary lag spike which servers experience from time to time. -
The majority of servers do not have global, side or command chat enabled, so yes. As long as your channel is 'direct communication' only those near you can hear what you say or see what you type.
-
http://www.battleye.com/download.html You can find the 'Battle eye' folder and delete it, then start up your game and join a server to install the newest client. Otherwise just replace it with the newest verison.
-
I prefer doing it all manually, but you could try that as SixUpdater seems to be pretty effective for those who use it, so its worth a shot.
-
Try a complete uninstall of your display drivers, then reinstall them on the latest version. Had a problem similar to this a while back and that fixed it for me.

Please help me with my FPS trouble.
Aftershok replied to Shanan (DayZ)'s topic in DayZ Mod Troubleshooting
When ArmA 2 was first released I was running it on an 8800 GT relatively well so it is possible. Although you are let down by your processor, which is an important part of being able to play DayZ. Try lowering 3D/Interface resolution, turn off AA and PP effects and in your config in your config turn off AOTC, also put shaders to very high (somehow this boosts performance) and make sure video memory is on default. -
deleted.chernarus would indicate that you aren't running combined operations, as you are running ArmA 2 free you have to go through a different install process than people with the full retail version of both. After a quick google i've found this guide, hopefully it helps, http://kodabar.blogspot.co.uk/2012/05/how-to-install-dayz-with-arma-2-free.html
