Not everyone, but a large proportion of people have been affected by it; i've been teleported to many different places during the time i've played DayZ. Luckily they've fixed spawning in the ocean and debug plains/forest for the most part so you shouldn't be teleported anywhere too harmful.

It's due to a HIVE communication error or something along those lines, probably the server failing to sync to the main server. It happens every now and again, it's not too much to worry about but it is a pain.

Looks like it's due to to your ATOC settings, try changing it. -

If you want to play DayZ properly, purchase the game. Available off steam for the low price of £19.99. You can purchase ArmA 2 : Operation arrowhead on its own and play using ArmA 2 Free. The CD key error does not usually occur when people use ArmA 2 free so I take it you are using a pirated copy?

Are you running steam/CO as an admin? Try verifying integrity of the game cache, then reinstall DayZ completely ensuring you follow the steps to the letter for your version of the game. Also change your firewall to allow ArmA 2 OA, as considering when you did get in you were placed in debug there is something wrong with your connection or installation.

Here are a few FPS optimisation guides that people (including myself) use to gain maximum fps. Whereabouts are you logging on from? Could be an issue with your own connection, are you running the latest firmware on your router/modem?

Try using the original ArmA2OA.exe rather than the beta one (if you are using it). Otherwise try adding this to your launch options "-beta=Expansion\beta;ca;Expansion\beta\Expansion" If that does not work try adding this; "-mod=Expansion\beta;Expansion\beta\Expansion -nosplash" and ensure you remove -mod=@DayZ Have you tried manually moving the @DayZ folder out of the OA directory, then simply moving it back once you have finished playing singleplayer?

If he's on Windows 7, try running it through compatability for vista or XP. Is he running the game as administrator? With regard to changing your 'MaxFramesAhead' setting to 1, have you made sure it is not resetting every time you open the game? Sometimes the config will reset some changed settings when you open the game so you may need to change the file to read-only.

Found a bug report on dev heaven relating to this problem which you could keep track of. I recall people having this problem in ArmA 1 so it is an engine bug https://dev-heaven.net/issues/27127 Have you tried zeroing the X and Y axes and mouse smoothing, then boosting dpi on mouse? You could potentially try uninstalling, updating or reinstalling drivers for the mouse and running the game in compatability mode

Sound plays an important part, but at the same time you can do many things visually. If you stick to lower pop servers it would be less of a problem, however things such as zombie aggro, being shot at, hearing other players are vital in playing the game, more so in towns than in open country or forest. That being said, you can use the peripheral vision features (white dots on the side of screen) to locate other players or zombies and if you have sharp eyesight and good visual awareness it is easily playable.

Which files does it say are not compatible? First off, do a 'Verify integrity of game cache files' and try again, if this does not work remove the incompatible files completely and try again. -

Open vanilla ArmA 2 and check the version in the bottom right hand corner, you may need to update to the newest 1.11 patch (http://www.arma2.com...emid=20〈=en). Also a reinstall of the Battleye client. Have you tried simply deleting all of the disallowed files then starting DayZ without a verification of cache files? -

I haven't seen any issues like this before, do a firmware update on your router to see if it fixes, also try forwarding the required ports for ArmA 2 (2302-2307 UDP i believe) -
Right click OA, go to properties, then Local Files then click 'Verify Integrity of game cache', this will validate your files and should recover any corrupted/incomplete files. Also, make sure you are running steam as admin. This error crops up every now and again for ArmA and is usually fixed via this method.

Try sending a support ticket rather than posting on the forums for a HIVE reset. However, you could try an update or reinstall of your display drivers. -

high spec pc getting 10-20 fps after recent patch

The new patch is causing issues with framerates across a large number of servers, try going on those with lower draw distances. Wait for the next one to come out which should hopefully fix the issue.
