How long does a door stay open?
Hershel Green replied to Rattkjelke's topic in New Player Discussion
Never trust a closed door in Dayz SA. In fact...do not trust anything in Dayz... -
Do you remember the first person you met in SA?
Hershel Green replied to Mcleane's topic in General Discussion
First ppl I met where 2 guys @Cherno. Gave them some directions because they where new @Dayz. Second time was at Green Mountain. A couple of fully geared guys who gave me my first ammo for my buddy (M4). Since then I am living in the north so I don't meet alot of ppl... -
Best way to lose zombies that are chasing you?
Hershel Green replied to CrocoDan's topic in New Player Discussion
Don't run...just kill them. They aren't human anymore... -
Ehmmm. At night the sky is also black guys. If this is indeed about nightime server this topic is funny as hell.

LOL. Reminds me of what happend to a friend of mine in the mod. He walked for 2 straight hours "of the map". He called me and asked me what was wrong. He had been eating and drinking the whole journey so it took a while for him to die. He feld like somebody who got lost in a dessert. Use different things to navigate, like the sun, clouds or the stars. Anywhere you are just walk south-east. You may walk passed al the in land villages but eventually you will hit the coast. From there it is easy to find your way to the cities. As soon as you get there. Take some food, drinks and some basic weapon to defend yourself from Z's and then get the hell away from the coast.

How do I open doors in DayZ With a laptop.
Hershel Green replied to Szarekh (DayZ)'s topic in New Player Discussion
I've never come across a laptop in Dayz but I suggest you throw it as hard as you can. Also you can just open it the normal way... -
Dude, get a grip! The guy is just asking. Ontopic: Why the need for RP? Let the story evolve like it is and you can tell some great stories to your kids :)

blurry vision - not returning to normal
Hershel Green replied to mknudsen's topic in New Player Discussion
Jup. Same here. Had blurry vision checked my videosettings and without changing anything the blur was gone. -
@Cloudious. Maxframes settings in cfg @1 viewdistance @ 1500 scenecomplexity @ around 100000 Ingame settings @ medium and no clouds. OC your CPU @ 3,8ghz. With the right cooling it should handle this clockrate easy. Don't be scared. I've never destroyed a AMD with overclocking. You've got almost the same system as I got. These settings should give you a big boost. If you don't know where to find this variables read the rest of this topic.

Heroes still do excist don't worry. It's easy restore bloodlevels by eating and drinking enough so I just make bloodbags with my own blood. I also steal blood from bandits before I shoot them. But as in RL there aren't much real hero's who would sacrifice to help out another person. Stay positive grow some skills and consider yourself a hero. Please don't switch to the dark side because of the lack of heroes.

Those are not real rabbits....try to avoid contact.

So... now what? (The DayZ Paradox)
Hershel Green replied to superfluidity's topic in New Player Discussion
Watch FrankieOnPC on YouTube. Might give you some inspiration... -
That is just BS. Viewdistance isnt locked. I can see clear difference as trees and sorts are not rendered at the horizon. SceneComplexity gives me biggest fps boost. I can't see the difference visualy but the preformance is much better. So do not state things that aren't true....

What is wrong with my character?
Hershel Green replied to spuddy0108's topic in New Player Discussion
Did you heal wounds recently? Your wounds can get infected not handling them properly. I had something like that and didn't know what to do. I tried all sorts of things therefore I do not really know what helped. Took antibiotics, ate alot of food, took lots of fluids etc. I began to get messages like "My wounds feel much better." something like that. After a while got a message that said they where healed. Don't know if it is the same thing though....... -
You are right, bandits are part of the story. Still go f*ck yourself OP. I do not have any sympathy for murderers..

Guy Combat Logs While I Am Punching Him "Youtube"
Hershel Green replied to Holylance's topic in General Discussion
Maybe he didn't know you where there and just left for diner... -
Google or search on this forum for your problem. It has something to do with the mousse smoothning not going off when you turn it off in the menu in some cases.

Is it worth buying Dayz standalone yet? [With Developer responses]
Hershel Green replied to Blade4777980's topic in General Discussion
@viperus. Some of the things u mention have got more to do with the lack of your own knowledge then the game. And as always it is a Alpha! Do even read the message shown every bloody time u startup the game? -
Is it worth buying Dayz standalone yet? [With Developer responses]
Hershel Green replied to Blade4777980's topic in General Discussion
I've been spending lots of hours with just one life after the character reset. I haven't been bored at any moment. -
I've got a Phenom X4@3,7ghz and 670gtx. I run almost everything al highest setting. Only 2 settings changed. First and far most effective setting is sceneComplexity. I've got that on 100000. I also got drawdistance at 1600 meters. Good fps in wild AND city.

Does any one else feel burnt out already?
Hershel Green replied to scaramoosh's topic in General Discussion
Lol. As if there was any point in the mod...Like the OP I think you are tired with the concept. And I don't think a couple of addons will make you less bored.
