Craziest Thing You've Done in Day Z

No video footage but yesterday me and TehPaws took on a player named Zeb. He was armed with an AKM and we were armed with hatchets. I left with an AK and Paws left with a bunch of tools. Was a great moment when he had snuck into Elektro Train Station and was looting a junk pile when we burst through both the doors and hacked him to death. I got credit for the murder and as I had 1 zombie kill and 1 murder as well as 2 headshots at the time, I can only assume that I finished him with a blow to the head :D

    Silenced thermo weapons??? or cheat?

Me and a friend have done something like this before within the limitations of the game. One with an Bizon-SD and the other with the thermal scope assault rifle. Using TeamSpeak the thermal scope is used to spot targets while the other with an SD weapon and NV goggles takes out the targets. It works in a similar fashion to the way you describe your deaths.

    Luckiest Spawn EVER!

Yesterday I spawned in on a random full server in Cherno Military base. Was sneaking about to find that there was nothing in the gun tents when I heard an aggroed zed. Shuffled outside the tent I was in to see he was attempting to hit something in another tent. So I continue to shuffle about slowly into one of the medical tents. I ended up directly behind 2 survivors who were looting a medical box. Instinct told me to full auto them with the 1 clip of AK that I had. As it turned out, one of them was carrying an AS50 with 2 clips and had a coyote elite also :D

DayZ has become Deathmatch / Team Deathmatch

I think the latest update meaning Bandits aren't identifiable will actually help gameplay as not only could anyone be a bandit but anyone could be a friendly.
  5. My 2 cents, I came to Day Z hoping to remain a survivor with a bunch of clan mates who would all cooperate to survive, settle down somewhere in the woods and scavenge and live off the near by land. That dream has been impossible to realise as I have had to kill to survive. I now am a cold blooded bandit solely due to the fact that no one outside my clan seems to be trust worthy. I've been shot at and killed by players many more times than falling to the zombie plague. Yet I wouldn't have it any other way. I have learnt and developed my views through out the last 6 weeks or so I've been playing. I believe that absolute unrelenting realism is the way to go. That means no name tags (already in the game) and no way to know if the person's gun barrel you are staring down when you turn a corner is friendly or not. I say that once the Bandit morphing stuff is out and clothes are are solely delegated on a player's preference, the game's unrelenting nature will be even more satisfying. Yes it is frustrating having to rebuild your proverbial empire after each death but it is part of what makes Day Z so uniquely thrilling. Keep your head down and check your six, you'll be fine if you tackle each situation intelligently. TL;DR version : Banditry will be fine once skins are purely cosmetic.

The Buddy System [Friend spawning mechanism]

I'm not sure if some one has already suggested this in this thread (my scanning of the pages seem to have yielded no results), but why not just make it so you spawn at the nearest spawn to any one of your "friends" who you would have added to some sort friends list. The friends list would have to involve the person you are attempting to add confirming the request so that bandits and pk'ers can't abuse the system. This would mean you could spawn in the vague area of one or more of your friends (if they are in a group) using the current coastal spawns while not interrupting the current balance of on going firefights etc.
