One problem with any 'server hopping/logging' solution is server/client lag. Several times, since release, I have joined a 40 ping or less server and after a while I have received the red broken chain; then a countdown number saying no communication with server... and then I disconnect. How would a solution address this legitimate issue? I would be really pissed if a server I joined lagged and I could not rejoin game for 30 min.. or ended up on the coast. On the other-hand, I think server switching/combat logging should include a serious penalty. I prefer a system for server hopping: 1) Locks you out for a set period of time (15 minutes) after gear is acquired (30 min timer once you pick up anything) 2) And then randomly strips 50% of your on body gear (and any gear contained within it) if you join a new server, if you were locked out. For combat logging: 1) If you preform an aggressive act (hand cuff/kill anything/fire weapon/melee/destroy anything) you receive a 5 minute countdown timer. 2) Disconnect during countdown: DIE DIE DIE I despise server hopping/combat logging!

I think this is in the latest patch or a derivation of it. I spawned last night, after the data wipe, and ended on the shore near the far left of the map. I started hiking north into the woods. It got pitch black so I cranked up my gamma and it hardly changed anything. Once I cleared woods and hit a field I could see better. I would say currently gamma offers very little in this patch. I have never used my flashlight more in DayZ than last night. I even came across a huge pool of light I spotted from a distance. I spent ten min creeping up on it. It was a naked dead dude with his light laying on next to him. It was very creepy. I just ran away..... all I had was a hat and flash light. lol

As the title says, "I have a small 100 in the upper right of my screen in a dark color"! I think this maybe my food/water level... I have been gorging on everything I can find.... I have not received the stomach full msg Anyone have any thoughts on what the 100 is for. I searched the forum but no luck

Thanks guys... I had played ArmA quite a bit.... LOL I am now obsessed with staying full... combat has become a secondary worry... and until the Zombies return I am not even thinking about them

I find things are better since the last patch.... I can open cans with a Knife!!!! Hoooooray! Now I have a dark 100 in the upper right of my screen.... Any idea what that is?

I can not get bayonet/fire axe/screwdriver to open cans either.... I have yet to find a can opener. I am also convinced this is a Diabetic Survival Simulator, as I have died 3 separate times in about ninety minutes with out food

My only real complaint about SA is the universal voice chat feature. How can I identify who is on it so I can mute them? One guy was broadcasting his speakers over the chat and another was just droning on and on about his personal problems. I enjoy voice chat but the universal chat immersion experience. I have run into this on multiple servers.

I load up the game and join a server with a low ping..... boom it opens up with me dead. Then I wake up in the desert. I drop the server and go to another one and now I have full blood but nothing other than my Alice Pack WTF??? Bug or Hack version 1.7.2.5 joined via Dayz Commander And.... my water is red and my food pink...

Just get the stand alone ready for an alpha launch that reduces hackers, improves zombie code, and return DayZ to a survival simulator, and not a sniper simulator with pesky zombies and vanishing pvp.

When you go to a campfire and yell at everyone to hurry up and cook their hot dogs and put that damn fire out!

I just want it noted that the Admins on US 1 NY are attentive and stand up folk. There was a situation of accused hacking that was dealt with fairly. I appreciated their willingness to talk and willingness to listen with me. If you are looking for a decent private hive that is well maintained with admins in TS. I suggest checking out this server. I am serious.... and this is the sad state of DayZ. Everyone assumes that at any given time, there is someone on the server who's ultimate goal is to grief others by cheating and ruining their gaming experince. All the hacking reminds me of a group of folk playing a board game and the one who is losing the most, flips the table over and says, "See I win". The advantage in the above situation is you can beat down the guy who flips the table. The Map: Chernarus I have high hopes for the Stand Alone.

Most Zombie adventure stories, whether movie or book, typically feature customized street bikes. DayZ needs bad ass choppers in the Stand Alone so groups can form marauding biker gangs and assault the Mall (aka Dawn of the Dead (original))! Oh yea we need a mall too, easily a instanced environment which helios can land on and Bikers can ride through!!! Gimme Choppers!!!!

There need to be trolls in the woods.... and big foots (feet?)

This has happened to me also twice in 3 days.... Date/Time: August 17th, 2012 & August 19th What happened: Loaded up a server, then it said I was killed. Spawned in debug land, all my gear was stripped off inlcuding no pack. Logged out, logged back into the same server, spawned on coast with no gear including no pack. Where you were: I was in a forest north of elektro, about 30km inland. What you were doing: logging in Current installed version: v1.7.2.5 beta 96016 Server: US1584

i was not server hopping... in fact I had a phone call so I dropped the server took the call and rentered the server.... I think it has something to do with the clothes... both times I was not wearing civy clothes

I just spawned in dead ...AGAIN! Lost all my gear except I have camo clothes..... 2nd time in 3 days. I understand this is alpha stage.... but this really sucks.

Now in real life I am fairly clumsy..... but I have never broken my leg by a door hitting it. In DayZ all the time.... are these doors all made of steel?
