Oh, I have just found that it is easy to find parts except when you need them, but someone might have found an extra pair of NVG's. I am now realize that this topic seems pretty pathetic, it appears like I just found some random parts and expect people to be lining up ready to give me an AS50 or something stupid like that. Would it be tradable for something good if I had a full set of the vehicle parts? -

So I used steam to install this game. I had my account and was playing through DayZ. Then my friend noticed it and wanted to play so we logged on to my steam account on his computer, installed everything, and ran DayZ after logging in to his account. For some reason, it is using my character on his game though. How do I fix this, and if I hit respawn on his computer will it wipe it on my computer as well? -
I got into a server after 2 hours of trying. I had left in Elektro but for some reason it put me on the coast of Komarovo instead when I logged in. I had many hours of gear including a hatchet, a knife, matches, raw meat, a Makarov with 7 mags, and a huge supply of food and water/soda. I was planning on going to the fire station to try to find ammo for my AKM but yeah, I was in Komarovo. Before the words on the bottom saying where was was finished, some dude shot me dead. So, how do you make sure you get back in the right place? And is there any possible way to back up your character?

Oh well... so we can't play together... The weird thing is, we're on a different network than my computer...
