    DayZ map set in USA?

I want to see a fictional map that equally bolsters an urban area and a suburban/rural area. I'd love to see a big bridge connecting the rural/suburban area to the city, I think it would look pretty cool and give a lot of variety to the map.

    Clothes Menu when fresh spawn

Its been talked about and I think it needs to be in the standalone, as well as a lot of clothes items to be found in game as well. I'd like to see a lot of variety between characters because I think it'll give a more authentic experience, more immersive. It's not above fixing hackings, bugs and that, but it needs to be implemented before the game's finalized. I definitely also want clothes to be layered (Seperate articles of clother. Ex. Hat, glasses, shirt, jacket, pants etc etc)

A good way to hide a vehicle better

I would love to see it in the standalone. Wouldn't mind seeing it as a craft-able item for the reason of customization. For an example, you'd have to find netting and then fuse plants and such from the surroundings of where you'll be hiding your vehicle. This will allow for better camo no matter where you hide it.

    Suicide option durring Hourglass Screen

Too controversial for such an unimportant feature. Not a bad idea, just not worth the fall out it's going to get.
  5. lmaoo would be a funny sight but personally, I wouldn't be yelling in that situation and waste valuable energy/throw my breathing off/attract even more zombies. However, feel free to open direct channel and scream away. Maybe allow zombies to hear certain decibels at certain distances from your mic in the standalone. I think that would actually be cool.

    deleted fellas

Maybe we can have epilepsy. Players can troll you with random colors and you'll break into uncontrollable seizures. <_<
  7. I had the same idea, I'll link it below. I wish they would add it, would be such a cool feature. I go a little more in depth of how I'd like to see it implemented and I give scenarios in my post that depict the depth & dynamic decision making it would add to the game. http://dayzmod.com/forum/index.php?/topic/69405-dead-players-turning-to-zombies/#entry662756

    Wild Plants

Yeah, there was a plant in mario that let you shoot fireballs, that would be cool! haha no but all joking aside it's a good idea. Not high priority of course but should be considered. These plants should definitely not be common and definitely allow the ability to take/use the wrong plants as well which could sickness and such. If you want to use plants, best know what you're doing.

    Poker is Dayz stand alone

Its a good, simple idea that would be easy to implement but I think you'll have plenty to do in the standalone.

    Advanced basebuilding (levels)

Agreed, but that doesn't mean we should exasperate the problem.

    Advanced basebuilding (levels)

Wait, so if you die you only lose a level? Its permadeath, you should lose everything! Exactly no carry over between characters. As far as "building levels", it should be a skill only acheived by, well building structures. If a passive skill system isn't implemented, then give everyone the ability to build everything. However, the more advanced the structure is, the more material you need. It should require a lot of material to build anything more than a tent if everyone is just given the ability to build everything. Don't make it easy. Edit: It should be so difficult that you have to build it piece by piece like a real structure. Lay foundation with cement, put up the wood frame, etc. etc. Maybe give us a tarp to cover the structure so it doesnt stick out like a sore thumb before its fully fortified. Whether its above ground or below, we need to be able to hide the construction site.

    Poker is Dayz stand alone

Why don't you and your friends just go play "chicken" with some zombies.

    Weapon Balance > Damage Increase

I agree with the suggestion 100% however I still believe different size caliber bullets should induce different sized wounds. Being that DayZ uses a blood count instead of the traditional health mechanic, this can be implemented better than any other game. A larger size wound induced by a higher caliber gun would result in faster blood loss. Depending on the caliber, the rate at which blood is lost will vary. Multiple gun shot wounds will also increase the rate of blood loss. Edit: To your point, no guns will necessarily do more immediate damage (Ex. 50 cal reduces blood by 2000 upon hit) but instead a higher caliber weapon will induce a larger wound resulting in quicker blood loss than a lower caliber weapon. As said, multiple gun shots wounds would also increase the rate of blood loss.

    Editable/Markable Maps

If I understand your point correctly, you're saying that people will use physical maps instead. Yes, but this is a problem regardless, people have no desire to find an in game map currently because they can just print a physical map. However, I'm pretty sure the hardcore players looking for a genuine experience and immersion will use to feature. As for there being no reason to mark a map. Well maps will not mark dangerous areas (over run by a huge zombie number/places to avoid for whatever reasib), locations of certain loots you wish to reference if you need it later (car parts), player bases, places in which you have not yet scavenged. There are manyyyy reason to mark up a map.

    Editable/Markable Maps

Yes, this is exactly how I envisioned it. If it's on my map, only I can see it unless I give it to someone, I allow them to copy my map, or it is taken from me.

    Blood Regeneration

I think your blood should regenerate at all times. Depending on your overall well being, the percentage at which your blood regenerates would vary. For an example, being amply hydrated and nourished will increase the rate at which blood generates. It will be realistically slow, however factors like this would up the regeneration percentage. If you haven't eaten and are sick, this would inhibit your blood regeneration. I can't speak for how quickly blood would regenerate in each situation as I'm not well versed in the medical field, but I believe it should somewhat mirror real life. Maybe logging off and "sleeping" could also increase the rate of regeneration slightly. This however would have to be very carefully implemented to avoid exploits. Maybe to get this percentage "buff", you must be logged off for 7 to 8 hours straight. (The recommended good night sleep) I believe food should no longer directly give you blood, but instead slightly increase the percentage at which your blood regenerates. The only direct and immediate way to gain blood should be through blood bags.

    Over Eating

Yes, I definitely agree you should be able to over eat and puke. This would make players not want to do it being that puking up food essentially wastes all that food, as you will be hungry again. I also hope they revamp the whole blood system. Food shouldn't restore blood. It should work so blood regenerates at X% at a given Y amount of time. When food is eaten, blood should regenerate at X + Z% at Y amount of time. (Sorry for those who hated math and variables but it is the most generic way to explain it)

Adding big foot to the game?

I don't like the whole big foot thing but I definitely want a plethora of deadly animals.
  19. Lights Out

    Hunting; a revamp

Yea I agree, you wouldn't want to make it too realistic because too much realism starts to become game breaking. I would say foods' main purpose should just be for hunger (obviously). As the body would naturally replenish blood at X% in X amount time, food would just increase the rate your blood is naturally replenished by Y%.
  20. Lights Out

    Slenderman?

Would kill the immersion of the game because it just doesn't fit. I for one have wondered about putting in zombies that act differently (not always with mindless aggression). Maybe like they stalk you in the distance however, 1) how do you code them to make it effective 2) how do you explain a zombie acting differently from a viral standpoint? Would be funny if he put something extremely rare in the game without telling anyone. I mean so rare that if someone claimed they saw it in the game, no one would believe them.

    Compatible with mac, IOS.

Damn apple got you, another one bites the dust. :P As mentioned above, you should be able to boot up in windows, that will be your fix. Enjoy the game. Do yourself a favor and build a PC next time if you plan on gaming, just friendly advice. You'll never look back.
  22. I must say I'm a fan of not having a chat but in your situation, it's definitely a problem. I would initially say, have an on/off feature for that chat but you'd still be in a tight spot if you're trying to communicate with someone who has it off. I guess the best way to implement this while trying to keep everyone happy is, have it work like the chat communication. Depending on whether you put it on, let's say a whisper channel or shout channel, players within an X distance would have it pop up on their screen depending on which channel you're typing in. Edit: Whisper being a much shorter distance versus the shout channel. I think it would work nicely.
  23. Lights Out

    Blood Trails

Could be implemented on the wildlife as well for hunting purposes. It would be used to track down an animal that you didn't one shot kill.
  24. Lights Out

    The best idea/suggestion yet.

All ideas should not be implemented of course. However to say that they don't need any input is IGNORANCE at its best. Rocket needs to see the opinions of the player base, however, it is up to him to sort it out and decide what works. Reading ideas allows him to see angles he may have never thought of. Reading ideas may even help him grow other ideas he's been formulating in his head. If you have so much faith in his ability to develop a game without any input, I hope you have faith in his ability to separate the good and bad ideas he reads. Not to mention, it's being released in alpha so it's not like every other game. Every other game releases it in beta solely to iron out bugs. Releasing it in alpha is going to allow him to test features out on us and see if they work. The reason why every other game sucks is because they shove the game down your throat as they envisioned it. It is developed behind closed doors and no ideas outside the dev team's ideas are implemented.
  25. If the game's customization is as extensive as what the dev team is aiming for, MAG would not be an accurate comparison. 1) Graphics are planned to be a closer to compassion to ARMA III graphics (we'll see). Still nothing crazy so you can side step that. 2) However, when you throw in custom base building, characters with customization, weapon degradation, large player capacity + zombie NPC + animal NPC, LARGE map, bullet physics, etc, etc just to name a few. This is ALOT for console hardware to handle. A lot of custom stuff to load and compute from server to server. You're greatly overlooking the complexity of this game. Like I mentioned previously, if they can do it, great. Rocket said he was developing solely for PC first so developing for console after won't affect my PC experience at all. I just don't see the game being able to make a clean port with no cuts.
